Came to The Deck this past weekend on a bachelorette party. Thought vibes of the restaurant were great & as well as the foods/drinks but cons outweighed the positives driven by service. This restaurant doesn't take food allergies seriously!! Which for anyone with a severe food allergy - be very careful & ask to speak to the manager before ordering. First off, the server had an attitude to start with my table, as if we were inconveniencing her to do her job. I ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl & let the server know about my allergies to Peanuts, Treenuts & Sesame Seeds. She seemed irritated to check with the chef but came back & told me there were no allergens in this dish. The Poke Bowl comes out & the seaweed salad was covered in visible sesame seeds...so I called the server over and she actually argued with me that they were NOT sesame seeds...after huffing & puffing she takes the food back to the chef & soon returns later to tell me they'll remake my meal with no toppings...(not sure what that would've entailed? A bowl of white rice and tuna?) I decided to change my lunch to the burger (which was good). I spoke to the manager about the incident before I left & after speaking with the kitchen he tells me that I only alerted the server about my nut allergy so sesame seeds were never communicated to the kitchen (now its apparently my fault) even though I 100% communicated all my allergies. So for anyone that has allergies you have 2 major problems right there 1) my allergies weren't properly communicated to the kitchen and 2) the server then argued with me that they weren't sesame seeds. If I ate my meal after she told me I was wrong, I would have had an allergic reaction & needed my epipen/hospital trip. The manager apologized & said her attitude would be addressed but my meal wasn't even comped.... read more

**The Deck: Tybee Island's Coastal Oasis** Nestled along the shores of Tybee Island, The Deck offers a slice of paradise with its laid-back beach vibe, picturesque views of the Atlantic, and unique ambiance highlighted by a palm tree growing through the middle of the restaurant. As I savored the flavors of Tybee, I couldn't help but appreciate the vibrant energy and coastal charm that permeated every corner of this hidden gem. My dining experience at The Deck was nothing short of delightful. The friendly and attentive service added an extra layer of warmth to the inviting atmosphere, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The staff's genuine hospitality mirrored the relaxed ambiance, creating a welcoming haven for locals and visitors alike. I opted for the blackened chicken burger--a culinary masterpiece that perfectly captured the essence of coastal cuisine. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the bold spices of the blackened chicken perfectly complemented by fresh toppings and a toasted bun. It was a culinary journey that left my taste buds yearning for more. But perhaps the most captivating aspect of The Deck is its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the sandy dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see. As I dined al fresco, the gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of the waves provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're craving a refreshing salad, a handcrafted cocktail, or a juicy burger, The Deck has something to satisfy every palate. The Deck was the highlight of our evening on Tybee! We watched a gorgeous sunset while enjoying dinner just steps from the beach, and the atmosphere couldn't have been more perfect. The food was delicious, the margaritas were amazing, and what really made the experience unforgettable was the incredible service. Every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Traveling with two young boys can be a challenge, but this was one of the most kid-friendly restaurants we've visited. The beach views and open-air setting kept them entertained, and the staff made our whole family feel right at home. Parking was surprisingly easy, making the whole experience even more relaxing from the moment we arrived. If you're looking for amazing food, delicious margaritas, stunning ocean views, an unforgettable sunset, exceptional hospitality, and a place the whole family can enjoy, The Deck is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! read more

The Deck Beach Bar & Kitchen is an absolute hidden gem on Tybee Island! From the moment we walked in, everything was outstanding. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and especially the staff were all amazing. Service was fast, friendly, and our server was absolutely AMAZING!! It's easy to see why they're currently ranked by USA Today as one of the Top 20 Beach Bars in the U.S. (#10 to be exact!). The vibe here is exactly what you want at the beach: relaxed, fun, welcoming, and authentic. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were perfect in every way. Fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. Drinks were great too and came out quickly even while busy. And if you're lucky enough, you may get to meet Marley, the local cat celebrity who completely adds to the charm of this place. Unlimited pets included with your visit. If you're visiting Tybee Island and skip The Deck, you're missing out. We'll absolutely be back! read more

We hit up The Deck on Tybee Island for my wife's birthday, and what a fantastic day it was! With the sun shining, a cool ocean view, and friendly service, we couldn't have asked for more. The food was amazing - the salmon was top-tier (and we know our salmon!). The Fish and Chips were a hit, even getting a thumbs-up from my wife who grew up in England. Plus, the Coconut Fried Shrimp was totally irresistible. The Peach Margarita my wife had was a perfect beachy drink, and the birthday cheesecake was simply delicious. The best part? The Deck is super kid-friendly. We could relax and enjoy our meal while our little one had a great time too. Highly recommend The Deck on Tybee Island for anyone wanting great food, fun vibes, and stunning views. We're already excited for our next visit! read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Deck, a delightful restaurant nestled right on the beachfront. From the moment I stepped onto the wooden deck, I knew I was in for a memorable dining experience. The Deck effortlessly combines a vibrant atmosphere with mouthwatering cuisine, making it a true gem on the coast Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Deck showcases a variety of coastal-inspired dishes, and I opted to sample their highly recommended Blackened Chicken Sandwich and Shrimp Lobster Rolls. Both choices were nothing short of exceptional. I would highly recommend! read more

We've had two great experiences. The first was the night of their opening and it was an amazing experience. They had their act completely together. The place was packed and the staff was completely on top of everything. From hosting to drinks to seating to serving to presenting top notch food at great prices. We know the Deck will be a bid success. We returned a few weeks later on a holiday weekend and the manager Dale greeted warmly and made sure we were seated and taken care of properly. Again, attention to detail and quality management and staff will ensure success. read more

A decent lunch spot. While it may be affiliated with Collins Quarter, don't expect the service, food or environment of the Collins Quarter. This is very much a simple beach restaurant. The service was pretty lackluster but the food was good. We went on a Sunday for brunch and there were at least 10-12 empty tables. However, we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Strange. Go because you're looking for a quick bite to each as you're leaving the beach - not because you're expecting the same quality of service you would get from CQ. read more

The Deck offers a adventure with all the beachside perks in the heart of Tybee Island. While the burger itself is solid, the clash of aioli, BBQ sauce, and crunchy bacon may overwhelm some palates. The fish & chips surprise with an overly sweet, funnel cake-like taste... was a little bit disappointed with that aspect. The highlight? Free beach access via their path, elevating the overall experience. Despite some flavor clashes, The Deck shines as a must-visit destination for those craving flavorful dishes and seaside relaxation. read more

To start if you are using Yelp to help your decision be advised most items you see photos of are not on their menu. The food was okay nothing spectacular, cleanliness and food safety would be a bigger concern. Even if the condiments say no refrigeration needed, not exactly sure ketchup, mustard, mayo etc. sitting out on tables all day in 92* degree weather is helpful. Table water tasted like dish water huge turn off. Had big hopes for this place with all the reviews but it was a big let down. read more

This restaurant and feel is absolutely lovely! My avocado smash was Devine and my counterparts shrimp tacos were cooked to perfection! The only downer I would give this establishment is Chase! He was extremely rude with his opinions and condescending. He smelled like meth and cigarettes. He was uninformative and seemed to just be there to collect a paycheck! The staff was superb and my server did a superb job! Will definitely return with the hopes of not seeing or talking to the Methhead! read more

Had a wonderful time here a few days ago when I stayed at Beachside colony.. what a incredible staff. The general manager I believe his name is Dale aside from being extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable he certainly ran a tight ship. The bartenders were friendly, beautiful, helpful and also knew their trade We will definitely be making this one of our regular stops in the future. Again, a big that a boy to the entire staff at the deck, thanks for making our night! read more

Locals do not waste your time! Extremely poor service at the bar, ordered apps that never arrived. After waiting for a table for more than an hour the hostess told us she had a table but some of the owner's friends sat at it and we would have to wait longer. As we were walking out, asked to see the manager, simply told that he / she was not available. Interesting part is that they were empty tables everywhere, poorly managed! read more

This place is not a great stop for food. It's only redeeming feature is that it's on the beach. It's good is so so, it's manager was pretentious and didn't want to seat us on deck because we had a small child. Charged us for two extra drinks that we refused because they came 35-40 minutes after we ordered and we were finished eating. We are locals and I can tell you there is better places to eat with better busy skills read more

We loved the fish tacos, and the drinks were delicious. Our server was fantastic, and you can't beat the view. The only negative was from the person in our party who did not like the fish and chips that he ordered. We're from New England, so our standards for fish and chips is rather high. We ate at three restaurants while on Tybee Island, and The Deck was by far my favorite. read more

We love this place! Our server was very kind and she was quick with everything. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for being a beach restaurant. The view was beauiful and they had plenty of indoor seating for those who aren't big fans of being outside in the heat. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is very lively. Would reccomend any day! read more

Beautiful view with delicious and eclectic food, and tasty margaritas. The tuna, hog wings, coconut shrimp, fish and chips, and sweet potato fries were delicious. The tree hugger tacos were fresh and perfect for our Vegan friends. Very excited for this upgrade to the Tybee community. Highly recommend! read more

Had lunch at the Deck and the shrimp tacos were fantastic. The margarita was to die for. Our waitress Michelle was excellent. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the offerings. She was also helpful with local attractions to visit. Definitely would recommend. read more
