Came to The Deck this past weekend on a bachelorette party. Thought vibes of the restaurant were great & as well as the foods/drinks but cons outweighed the positives driven by service. This restaurant doesn't take food allergies seriously!! Which for anyone with a severe food allergy - be very careful & ask to speak to the manager before ordering. First off, the server had an attitude to start with my table, as if we were inconveniencing her to do her job. I ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl & let the server know about my allergies to Peanuts, Treenuts & Sesame Seeds. She seemed irritated to check with the chef but came back & told me there were no allergens in this dish. The Poke Bowl comes out & the seaweed salad was covered in visible sesame seeds...so I called the server over and she actually argued with me that they were NOT sesame seeds...after huffing & puffing she takes the food back to the chef & soon returns later to tell me they'll remake my meal with no toppings...(not sure what that would've entailed? A bowl of white rice and tuna?) I decided to change my lunch to the burger (which was good). I spoke to the manager about the incident before I left & after speaking with the kitchen he tells me that I only alerted the server about my nut allergy so sesame seeds were never communicated to the kitchen (now its apparently my fault) even though I 100% communicated all my allergies. So for anyone that has allergies you have 2 major problems right there 1) my allergies weren't properly communicated to the kitchen and 2) the server then argued with me that they weren't sesame seeds. If I ate my meal after she told me I was wrong, I would have had an allergic reaction & needed my epipen/hospital trip. The Deck Beach Bar & Kitchen is an absolute hidden gem on Tybee Island! From the moment we walked in, everything was outstanding. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and especially the staff were all amazing. Service was fast, friendly, and our server was absolutely AMAZING!! It's easy to see why they're currently ranked by USA Today as one of the Top 20 Beach Bars in the U.S. (#10 to be exact!). The vibe here is exactly what you want at the beach: relaxed, fun, welcoming, and authentic. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were perfect in every way. Fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. Drinks were great too and came out quickly even while busy. And if you're lucky enough, you may get to meet Marley, the local cat celebrity who completely adds to the charm of this place. Unlimited pets included with your visit. We hit up The Deck on Tybee Island for my wife's birthday, and what a fantastic day it was! With the sun shining, a cool ocean view, and friendly service, we couldn't have asked for more. The food was amazing - the salmon was top-tier (and we know our salmon!). The Fish and Chips were a hit, even getting a thumbs-up from my wife who grew up in England. Plus, the Coconut Fried Shrimp was totally irresistible. The Peach Margarita my wife had was a perfect beachy drink, and the birthday cheesecake was simply delicious. The best part? The Deck is super kid-friendly. We could relax and enjoy our meal while our little one had a great time too. We've had two great experiences. The first was the night of their opening and it was an amazing experience. They had their act completely together. The place was packed and the staff was completely on top of everything. From hosting to drinks to seating to serving to presenting top notch food at great prices. We know the Deck will be a bid success. We returned a few weeks later on a holiday weekend and the manager Dale greeted warmly and made sure we were seated and taken care of properly. A decent lunch spot. While it may be affiliated with Collins Quarter, don't expect the service, food or environment of the Collins Quarter. This is very much a simple beach restaurant. The service was pretty lackluster but the food was good. We went on a Sunday for brunch and there were at least 10-12 empty tables. However, we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Strange. Go because you're looking for a quick bite to each as you're leaving the beach - not because you're expecting the same quality of service you would get from CQ. read more

This restaurant and feel is absolutely lovely! My avocado smash was Devine and my counterparts shrimp tacos were cooked to perfection! The only downer I would give this establishment is Chase! He was extremely rude with his opinions and condescending. He smelled like meth and cigarettes. He was uninformative and seemed to just be there to collect a paycheck! Had a wonderful time here a few days ago when I stayed at Beachside colony.. what a incredible staff. The general manager I believe his name is Dale aside from being extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable he certainly ran a tight ship. The bartenders were friendly, beautiful, helpful and also knew their trade We will definitely be making this one of our regular stops in the future. Locals do not waste your time! Extremely poor service at the bar, ordered apps that never arrived. After waiting for a table for more than an hour the hostess told us she had a table but some of the owner's friends sat at it and we would have to wait longer. As we were walking out, asked to see the manager, simply told that he / she was not available. Interesting part is that they were empty tables everywhere, poorly managed! read more

This place is not a great stop for food. It's only redeeming feature is that it's on the beach. It's good is so so, it's manager was pretentious and didn't want to seat us on deck because we had a small child. Charged us for two extra drinks that we refused because they came 35-40 minutes after we ordered and we were finished eating. We are locals and I can tell you there is better places to eat with better busy skills read more

We loved the fish tacos, and the drinks were delicious. Our server was fantastic, and you can't beat the view. The only negative was from the person in our party who did not like the fish and chips that he ordered. We're from New England, so our standards for fish and chips is rather high. We ate at three restaurants while on Tybee Island, and The Deck was by far my favorite. read more

Beautiful view with delicious and eclectic food, and tasty margaritas. The tuna, hog wings, coconut shrimp, fish and chips, and sweet potato fries were delicious.
