Bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato sandwich
Anne L.

Nice spot for lunch and a bonus that it is beachside...really gives you that island ambiance. The service was great - friendly and very quick staff all around. I just got a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado) which was good but the fries were a nice surprise - they had a little spice on them that I really enjoyed - very subtle but a little different from your run of the mill shoestring fries.

This place is in the midst of a hotel. We were a little unsure where exactly it was located but they do have enough signs to get you to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right seat. Service was overall excellent. The food presentation was great, but man does it lack flavor. We started with the chorizo roasted corn dip. It had very little flavor and the chips were kind of stale. My husband had the deck burger, it was watery and no flavor. How do you mess up a burger so bad? I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. First, there's no way to eat this as a sandwich, but that's ok. The waffle part was one of the best waffles I've ever had. The jalapeño syrup and chipotle mayo were great but man that chicken was the biggest disappointment. It looked amazing. The breading was great but it had absolutely no flavor. Even eating it all together wasn't enough to help that chicken.

We love the deck!! Great food with many different options and amazing service. The key lime pie was delicious.

Great views. Indoor and outdoor shaded patio. Wings were messy and had the perfect crispiness. Loved the poke bowl with coconut rice. Server brought soy sauce out since there was really no dressing. I was satisfied but the cheesecake intrigued the table. It was really good. Had a nice sweet and salty combo. Perfect size for 4 people

Food was good and service was good. We got there around 6:00pm (before it got busy). I ordered the fish tacos with a side salad. All, including the Cole slaw were great! My husband got the Wings and side of fries. Hunter was our server and he was great also. Hustling and friendly. The outside seating was full but we got a spot inside next to the window. It was a bit too chilly for us to dine outside but next time! We'd go back!

Dan, our bartender was amazing. We had such a great lunch and couple of hours just hanging with him. Made friends with the guys next to is and Dan kept it all going! Thanks!

I've been here before and maybe I ordered wrong, but this time I was blown away by the food, the service, the ambience and the whole experience. We didn't know that there was parking in the parking garage the first time we went so I was happy to see that they had ample parking. All of the food and drinks. I ordered were well prepared and tasty. It was kind of a cold and windy day the day I went in the curry was perfect to warm me up. The waitress was incredibly helpful when it came to deciding what to order. Would highly suggest.

Great breakfast and lunch spot in the Landings, Skidway Island, Savannah, GA. They serve early breakfast and sandwiches and soups and salads into lunch hour with open bar. The portions are large and made to order. Great spot for a quick bite. Connected to the water park and sports area. Lots of parking and you can order ahead. Service is great. The environment is a bright, clean fast serve dining area with indoor and outdoor seating.

All of the food and drinks were great. The location is beachside and perfect if you are at the hotel. I enjoyed myself too much here.

Tourist trap: an establishment with the aim to attract tourists and their money, and typically providing poor yet overpriced services, entertainment, food, and other products. The first sign of trouble were the styrofoam cups, bowls, and plates, and plastic utensils. If charging $24-46 for "Dinners from the Steamer", there better be a tablecloth and proper tableware. My "Cadillac margarita" was Jose Cuervo and store-bought, bottled mix. The crab stew was gloop without crab meat. The french fries were the least unpleasant thing I had, but didn't come quickly from the under-heated frying oil. My wife's mussels were fresh and, in and of themselves, good, but they were served plain. No delicious Italian-cuisine-inspired tomato-based sauce for you! No baguette slices with whipped butter for you! They came with a single lemon wedge and a 2 oz plastic portion control cup of olive oil, butter and salt. This joint is a gloop-serving tourist trap. Go to Zunzibar instead! I'll post my five star review of Zunzibar soon.

Great place for breakfast. Typical breakfast fare but I…read morewas also able to get a club sandwich the day I wasn't feeling eggs for food. Prices were very reasonable, and service was both quick and friendly. Definitely would recommend!

There are plenty of booths and formica-topped tables with wooden chairs. And there are kind waitresses and waiters who work with incredible energy and efficiency to end your hunger. Arriving on a weekday, we were directed to seat ourselves and within minutes, a waitress came by to get our drink orders. We reviewed the menu heavy on breakfast dishes (and noticed breakfast buffet deal of $13.95 that was offered on weekends that is surely to a big draw). Four of us got pancakes or waffles and one of us got a dish that must have been designed with vegetarians in mind of hash browns smothered in veggies with upcharges for cheese, eggs or breakfast meats. Our food arrived in minutes. The waitress quipped the cooks are fast and they are. The pancakes and the waffles were well received. The ham side ordered by one person was not sliced from a true ham but more like a deli ham. The shredded hash browns would have benefitted from a few more minutes on the flat-top but they were still solid. The veggies on top of the hashbrowns were soon soaked in hot sauce and while the broccoli may have been frozen, everything tasted good mixed together. The downside of Sunrise came in the form of whipped spread (vegetable oil) offered instead of butter and american cheese as the option for the hash brown deluxe dish. Real butter and cheddar cheese would have made a BIG difference in the taste of the pancakes, waffles, toast and the hash brown dish. That is why I gave Sunrise three stars. I would highly encourage the owners to reconsider the decision to use vegetable oil based substitutes for cheese and butter and earn a 4 star review. There are so many things to love about Sunrise. Our meal moved smoothly and the waitress handled a take out order for us that was waiting on the counter when we paid our check. We tipped 25%, remembering the direction from "LIfe's Little Instruction Book" that breakfast was a less expensive meal but the work for waitresses did not change... so always add a little more. We hope you do too!

Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was unbelievable! Best food we had in our entire trip. We had some corn, captains platter with blackened shrimp, salad, chowder, and mussels. Because this was their first time in Savannah, we couldn't let them leave without a visit to the beach. Although the day was a bit overcast and windy, it was still a nice afternoon and we decided to grab some local fare before heading back to Pooler. Salt Island is a small restaurant located right on the main strip as you turn into the seafront area. There is limited parking in and around the restaurant, but we were lucky because Sunday afternoon was fairly deserted. However, I would imagine that on a busy weekend you would likely need to find creative parking because a lot of the nearby parking seemed to be reserved for home and condominium owners. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a sizable bar and plenty of room to entertain larger groups. The menu is fairly simple but packed with a couple of really interesting items that you wouldn't technically expect to find in a beachfront fish house. And while we didn't order any of the more offbeat items, I have to say, seeing Chicken Tinga on the menu was a pleasant surprise. Especially since my in-laws are Mexican. Lol, I actually ordered the whole fried snapper tacos, which was essentially a whole fish fried to perfection but then accompanied with a bounty of authentic Mexican taco fixings including fresh tortillas, Cajita cheese, and fresh salsa and guacamole. The waiter promised I would be the envy of the table, and I was! This thing was so big. I ended up taking some of it home and eating it as a late night fish taco snack. The rest of the table ordered a combination of the fresh fish served any way you like it and the shell on shrimp boil. Both options were also fantastic. They also offer a variety of beers and have a fairly full bar so there's fun to be had here for everyone. Service was also really tight with our waiter making multiple trips to the table to make sure everybody was good. This is definitely a spot I would recommend if you are hanging out at the beach.
