    Shaved beet salad
    Stef A.

Delicious! The restaurant was decorated very well. We could hear our friends since it wasnt too loud. We ordered the mussels, beet salad, and wings to start. I will think about the mussel dish for months after this. It had this creamy mushroom sauce and my only regret was not asking for more bread or ordering another one to enjoy. The beet salad was also delicious. It had this spicy and creamy sauce. Wings were smokey and flavorful. My husband had the halibut with this Delicious lemon and caper sauce. I ordered the stuff cod and that was also tasty, just needed a lemon to cut some of the richness. Overall we had an amazing experience and highly recommend the mussels!

We had a great dinner experience at The Crooked Pine, but we expected it to be better based on other reviews. We went on a Saturday evening in July--peak tourist season--and thank God we had a reservation because both Ogunquit and the restaurant were packed to the max. Also, they do not have parking, so I recommend you give yourself 10-15 minutes to find parking, especially during the summer. Let's start with the good stuff: the service was excellent. The staff, both the hosts and wait staff, were excellent; friendly and prompt throughout the night. The restaurant itself is beautiful. They have a patio area (prime stuff for people watching, which we unfortunately did not get), indoor space, and a separate bar area. The indoor space felt like a cozy home (although they do pack quite a few tables in the space!). The drinks were also delicious. They had an extensive cocktail menu and plenty of spirits. The 14 Sheets cocktail was terrific, and the Paddington was also excellent. Both drinks were strong and well-balanced. The food ended up being more of a meh experience for us. We started with the Mac & Cheese ($14, from their appetizers list), and it was okay, but we definitely have had better. It could've used more cheese and spices to elevate the flavors. My husband ordered a burger, and I ordered the halibut piccata, and both were subpar. The burger's consistency didn't match the medium-rare temp we asked for, and my husband's theory is that it was a previously frozen patty. He opted for a side of tortellini salad (they offer a few fun sides for burgers), and honestly, that was the best part of the meal. My halibut piccata was disappointing for multiple reasons. First, the food-to-price ratio: they gave me so little pasta that I had to slow down to not finish everything in 5 minutes. Then, the halibut was incredibly dry. All in all, it was not worth the $30+. I recently had chicken piccata at another restaurant; sadly, this was laughable compared to my other experience. All in all, it was an okay experience. Maybe it was just a hectic night that led to a subpar experience.

Tasty drinks and food! The Duck Wing app was excellent and actually went really well with the roasted carrot app! Service was attentive and not "checking in" so really good. The bar is a good place to hang with some of the locals and also get a really good meal. The tables along the "porch" are a great people watching spot to enjoy your meal as well. The location is great right on Shore Rd near the beach and all the good spots to enjoy a night out in downtown Ogunquit.

This cozy and nicely decorated restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The servers are incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure our dining experience was top-notch. All of our food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Gnocchi & Pork. We were very happy with our meal and the overall service. Highly recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dining experience :)

It's been a while since I had dinner at crooked pine, but with our visit last night, it's back to my number one spot for amazing restaurants in Ogunquit. Duke was our server and he was excellent and attentive. Our dinner was perfect, we had the fiddleheads and miso mushrooms for apps and the swordfish and gnocchi for dinner. We had a beautiful and private table overlooking main st. And felt welcome and cozy. Drink list was thoughtful as were the wines. We finished with the pistachio creme brulee which has a perfect sugar crust. We can't wait to return!!

The Crooked Pine resides in a remodeled Ogunquit landmark. The atmosphere is as charming and as intimate as its cuisine. The carefully curated menu boasts European inspiration with New England charm. The bartender chilled the sleek glassware with ice and my martini was shaken fast. It was served ice cold with some ice remnants in the drink. While dining here, I learned that this spot shares the same owner as Brix + Brine. The bar was cozy with 8 seats. The olives were firm, salty, and jumbo. The fare was fresh and delicious. The lemon-tarragon mayo that dressed my lobster roll was balanced and delicious.

    Outdoor fire-side dining!

    Do you have parking?

Parking is where you find it in Ogunquit in season. There might be a few spots that go with the restaurant but it's mostly public parking in pay lots. Tiny amount of street free parking. Still worth a short walk for this place!

Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon!

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Not thinking they are accessible though as there were steps going in the two doors we used.

Our server Benjamin was excellent. We started with 10 Maine oysters which were well shucked and ice cold. They were sweet and delicious + added two raw clams. Each oyster was labeled with cute wood sticks. Love the Maine oyster names. The Maine course was lobster risotto with balsamic drizzle. The rice was perfectly cooked with good deep flavor. The disappointment was the less than 2 Oz - 1/2 lobster tail sitting on top. It was tender, but a little more lobster pieces in this almost $40 dish of creamy Arborio rice would have been nice. The balsamic drizzle was a great taste touch. Lobster roll - nice presentation and tender lobster on the warm under-buttered hot dog roll - but not enough lobster. Decent fries and small cold slaw. Good flavor but sides should not be an extra charge. Blueberry pie - good but not as good as the nearby Ogunquit restaurant competition. Will return in year 3 - hopefully for a five star shout out.
