I've been meaning to stop in for breakfast for months and finally got a chance to this morning before work. We got in right as they opened at 6am and sat up at the counter along with two older gentlemen, and two more tables came in shortly after us. I believe the owner was the cook on the line when we came in, and even though he was clearly still setting up for the day he took our orders and had our food ready in a little bit. I tried the apple cinnamon pancakes as recommended by other Yelpers and was not disappointed, but they were huge!! I had to get a doggie bag and just finished them up for lunch. My boyfriend's farmer's omelet was great too, and a better portion size than my three pancakes. I will be dragging him back again next time we're both up early for breakfast! read more

A great, old time breakfast and lunch place. I walked in and sat at the counter (which is copper-topped by the way). I had some of the homemade corned beef hash, which was great. I also opted for the homemade cinnamon swirl bread for toast, which was also outstanding. The coffee was a little weak for my taste but it was hot and plentiful. The regulars and the staff made me feel very welcome. There was also an option for shredded potatoes which I will try on my next visit. I saw sausage links on the flattop which looked really good. I have been here a few times and each experience is great. The waitresses are very friendly and the cooks work at a fast pace. I went in on a Saturday afternoon (a busy time) and the place was packed. However, there were open stool seats at the counter. I was in and out in about a half hour. The BEST breakfast in Western Mass, hands down! Worth the wait if you find yourself here during "prime time", which is typically Sundays between 9:30 and 11 a.m. They use really fresh ingredients, everything is cooked to order, and they never refuse a special request. The waitstaff is outstanding, as is the piping hot coffee which they refill constantly, even when they are super busy. read more

So after going to this restaurant for almost two years, sometimes on a weekly basis, and being grateful for the consistency and quality. I hate to update my former glowing review with one that is not so good. In the last year-ish, The portion sizes have gotten smaller, which may or may not be an all together bad thing, BUT the quality of the food has gone downhill as well. If you have read my previous review, you will note that I likened the atmosphere to the that of a cozy well worn friends kitchen. Since then, the owners have started sprucing the place up a bit with new lighting fixtures and such. Which leads me to believe that the portions and quality are being sacrificed for an unwarranted facelight. This mornings visit has left a bad taste in our mouths, and I'm honestly not certain when or if we will.go back. We arrived, and ordered our food. The glass that the water came in had an extremely weird taste to it. And when the food that my husband ordered arrived he remarked to me how charred the kielbasa was and how overcooked the eggs were. Being someone that doesn't wish to cause problems, he just tried to deal with it. But as I took notice to the plate and it's contents, I noticed how significantly smaller the portions were. Even the pancakes were much smaller. And definitely noticed how bland the kielbasa was compared to other times. The food should never have been plated let alone served to a customer. And what I don't get was there wasn't but one other customer and the two of us in the whole place. So why was the food neglected on the grill? We got through the meal and when my husband went to pay he let the owner know about our concerns, and while he offered reparations by making it new, we didn't have time that. And when asked why was the servings of kielbasa charred, the answer was because the grill was super hot. Well, my husband didn't leave a tip, but I will. Watch your cook times. And you will lose customers, If the issues I have mentioned aren't fixed. Smaller portions + inconsistent food quality + higher prices = bad business and loss of customers. Just sayin. read more

Pleasantly surprised to not find a line here on a crisp fall Saturday morning. Saddened that the restaurant didn't, in my opinion, live up to the hype. We were able to find a table right away and were promptly greeted. Our coffee and juice arrived quickly, but my coffee was served in an obviously dirty cup. Our server had vanished, but another was able to replace it for me. My companion ordered 2 scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, and an additional order of cinnamon swirl toast. Our server said it was freshly baked in house. I also ordered 2 eggs-over easy- with bacon and the same cinnamon toast. Everything was cooked to order and served piping hot, but it was all painfully bland. The toast was good for a bite or two, but then it just was dry. Neither of our dishes had the home fried potatoes that were in the menu descriptions. One coffee, two orange juices and the (partial) meals with the up-charged toast for about $30 with tip...not bad, but only 3.5 stars at best. read more

The service is very good, and pretty quick considering how busy they were (completely full). The food was very good. They offer hash browns (which they call thin-cut potatoes) in addition to the traditional home fries. If I have any criticisms it's that the drinks tasted slightly of chlorine. And the interior is, well, it's not the Ritz Carlton. We sat in a booth, and the table was strangely high. But these are minor problems for a place that serves many people at a good pace. My wife and I went to The Copperline Eatery for the first time last week. The place is definitely rustic, so if you are looking for sophistication or contemporary this place is not for you. The wait staff is excellent as our waitress was friendly and playful. The price for the food is excellent! The food overall was just okay unfortunately. I had an omelet with Cheese, bacon, ham and sausage inside of it and it had little to no flavor. My wife ordered scrambled eggs and got an under-cooked omelet. . .but thanks to our waitress' diligence, the eggs were fixed but scrambled eggs are still not an omelet. I read a previous review recommending that you pass up on the breakfast sausages, I should have taken their advice, the sausages were soft and salty. Otherwise the rest of our experience was pleasant. Might give them another try. read more

I would call before you place a large order since prices may have changed. After waiting ten minutes for an booth one of the servers walked by with coffee pot and spilled coffee on the seat I was just about to sit on, had to wait 10 min more to get someone to clean seat and then get a napkin to dry it. Service was fine, and the people were friendly. The food was typical diner food - not bad, but nothing special. The coffee was bad. Prices were a little high for what it was, but for breakfast, we found it okay. Probably not a place we would rush to go to again, but in a pinch, it would work fine for a family breakfast. The veggies in the omelet were still pretty raw. The home fries were mostly okay, but included a glob of mushy grill debris, and the french toast is not worthy of the name - regular sandwich bread.
