A cozy little seat yourself neighborhood place. My friend tried the spinach omelet with feta and homefries.She said it was light and tasty. I tried the homefries which were good. My sausage with biscuits and gravy were more gravy than sausage, perhaps could have used a little more seasoning. Eggs cooked just as ordered. Service was very attentive. Coffee constantly coming by. I've been here 3 times now and each time I'm impressed with their friendly/quick service and their no frills fare. Staff/Ambiance: The staff are very friendly and quick to answer any questions you may have and do a great job of keeping your coffee cup refreshed. Ambiance is nothing to write home about, pretty basic seating that's packed pretty tight due to the size of the place. Food: If looking for some fancy schmancy breakfast choices go elsewhere, but if you want standard breakfast fare done right at a great price, this could be the place for you. Their pork hash was pretty delicious , so if they have it, get it... you won't be sorry. I also recommend their pancakes over their french toast as well if you have the option with your breakfast choice. Reason being the pancakes are huge and the french toast is just ok. Eggs cooked perfectly, delicious home fries, and their sausage and gravy biscuits were spot on perfect. Flaky biscuits and a nice thick gravy that had generous chunks of sausage throughout. I ordered breakfast twice from here. The second time, I asked for an egg and cheese sand. With scrambled eggs. The eggs were over hard and smothered in melted cheese, all over the sandwich, making it a little difficult to eat. The food is comparable to any other breakfast spot. Great Garbage Omelette. It's chock full of everything except the kitchen sink and served pillow style. This place opens early every day at 6 AM. A very friendly and attentive server. Felicia did the thing that takes a good restaurant from a 4 to a 5. She did the follow up with both the meal within 2 minutes of serving and a keen eye on the coffee refilling. Most millennials these day just serve and done. The ambiance is warm and New England with cool signage sayings. The coffee is very good and they have a high quality rye. Oh my goodness talk about yummy! I went here today with my little sister in law and we had a lovey lunch! I got the chicken broccoli cheese tortellini with Alfredo sauce (it was on the special menu $8.50) and it was AMAZING. I seriously ate every bite (which I barely do!) I had stopped partway through and said I was taking the rest home but then I couldn't stop myself and I ate it all! Lol It was the perfect amount for a lunch meal and I was very happy! My lil sis got a tuna sandwich and potato salad she ate every last bite & was equally delighted! The potato salad wasn't normal to what I call potato salad though it had a very mustardy taste but she liked it so that's all that mattered! Will come back with my fiancé! The server Jess was amazing and friendly & the other waitress was attentive to when our waters ran low as well! It's a very quaint atmosphere, not a ton of natural light and possibly only 20 tables but it is the vibe of the joint so stop in and have a bite! Stopped here on our way to Six Flags cause it was raining and wanted to wait out the rain rather than eat overpriced food in the park. It was almost noon, but everyone we were with wanted breakfast and this place looked like the place the locals go. When we pulled in I noticed they were smoking something out back. It turns out BBQ Beef n' cheddar was the lunch special. So I had to try that instead of getting breakfast. My sandwhich was really good, it only came with chips but for $5.50 this meal was 1/2 the price for a similar meal at six flags. The breakfast entrees were good too pancakes, eggs, bacon, and home fries. All pretty standard stuff, not burnt, not cheap all fat no meat bacon, and the home fries had a nice seasoning. We tend to prefer breakfast at local places rather than a chain so this was a good find. If the locals go there you know it is probably good. Service was warm and friendly. Also, they had some nice little games and toys to keep my son entertained while waiting for our food. I was surprised to see that and really happy that they were available. If you need breakfast before going into Six Flags I recommend stopping here. read more

After two delicious visits, it's time for a review. Each time, I ordered the same thing (creature of habit), two eggs, bacon, toast and a side of hash. The bad new first, but understand it's the only bad news: they use a lardy (that is SO a word!) cut of bacon... so much fat. Enough to skip the bacon next time and try sausage. On to the good: the hash is amazing. Others raved about the pork hash which I've not tried but their regular corned beef hash is amazing. The burn it a little to give it come crispness. Add a couple eggs over easy on top and yum!!! I've only had takeout so I can't comment on service but I'm dreaming of hash now... sigh. Can't wait to take my mom here. She'll love it too. read more

Been going here for about 7 years now on and off. Great food and service.. is essentially a diner without a bar... I came originally for the biscuts and gravy, but over the years the biscuts have gotten hard and the sausage gravey.. well not so good. The pancakes tend to be under done, my daughter only eats the outsides now because the inside is goo... The rest of the menu is good, large portions at decent price. You don't have to wait forever for a refill or for the food to come up. Staff is happy and always around. Love this place... just cook the pancakes and make fresh biscuts please. read more

Extremely pleasant experience! from the food....the service...and the quaint atmosphere..this small breakfast/lunch spot is a winner. Wife had the special...boston cream pie pancakes. a decadent delight...and with a coffee @ $5.50 total--what a delicious bargain. Great food (now only breakfast but served all day) and great service. The Main Street Grill is a treasure -- and a throwback. Places like this hardly exist any more, but this is a classic American dinner on the road to Six Flags. It is the ideal stop before hitting the park, but curiously everyone here was a local (very much a "where everyone knows your name" scenario.) Wasn't particularly impressed. I grabbed some turkey & ham sandwich to go as I was pausing at work a few building's over. The Smoky Mountain I believe they called it. So it was a few cents shy of $7 & I got a few slices of meat & some sauce on like Wonder Bread toasted w some spicy potato salad. I should have tried the Chinese joint across the street instead. My parents and I stopped in here while running errands in Agawam, not an area I'm normally in. We love a good local family restaurant and thought we would give it a try. The ambience is pretty bland but the staff was friendly and prompt. We all ordered the Cape Cod Sandwich special, which we would have thought was seafood but was actually described as fresh turkey with cheddar, and cranberry sauce on sourdough. We were all surprised when it came out a grilled cheese with turkey and cranberry sauce but we're pleased when it was yummy. The kind of sandwich you could never make at home due to a sheer unwillingness to use such a shameful amount of butter and cheese, but oh so delightful to indulge in. The coleslaw was alright but the potato salad tastes just like grandma's and was definitely something special. The prices were very reasonable, apparently the place is popular with the local senior crowd around lunch time. I also always take it as a good sign when the servers are eating the food, it means the kitchen is clean and the food is good. read more
