Got a few vegan chocolate chip cookies when in Jordan's for a movie and were great. Would recommend definitely.

Kennedy's is the real deal: a Melrose gem…read more I took my two sons to Kennedy's for the first time recently, and I can already tell this is going to become a weekly tradition. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want from a neighborhood ice cream shop: friendly, unpretentious, and completely focused on making great ice cream. The star of my visit? The Nutella Stackable. I almost went with something safer, but I'm so glad I didn't. Layer after layer of rich, velvety Nutella ice cream, it was indulgent in the best possible way and tasted like they somehow captured the essence of Nutella and made it even better. My boys were eyeing it the entire time, which is the highest compliment I can give. Speaking of the boys, they were immediately at home here. The staff was patient and cheerful while two excited kids deliberated for what felt like forever, and the portions were generous enough that everyone left completely satisfied. No small feat with those two. Kennedy's has the feel of a place that's been done right: quality ingredients, a welcoming atmosphere, and people behind the counter who clearly take pride in what they're serving. Melrose is lucky to have it!

The prices are on the higher side for a local spot and they appear to serve Gifford's and a variety of ice cream products from different suppliers. The variety is worth the visit if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. It's a busy shop, expect a line especially on weekends. My main complaint was how long it took to order, I came in with a friend and there were 3 groups in front of us but we waited 25 minutes. I understand it was busy but they seemed short staffed having to juggle the walk up window and the line inside the shop.

I sampled a bunch 'o flavors -- cuz I can be a lil' piggy like dat. I'm also so so so indecisive ... R U? Anyway, the cream and the various flavors were incredibly fresh and creative -- you can tell that J.P. cares about the quality of ingredients that are in his ice cream at his ice cream shop. Gurl, I had two scoops of gluten free "Infused White Coffee Chunk" ice cream lumped atop my sugar cone. Yummers, Dr. Franklin. This ice cream was savory -- even after opting for a gluten free version of da chilly cream that melts when we lick it.  The staff was genuinely friendly + cool, patient with all of my sampling requests (eek! so many -- lolol), and happy to make recommendations. The shop itself felt bright, welcoming, and full of GEWWD energy. The footprint of the shop itself is a smidge squish -- so if you have claustrophobic tendencies, Arthur, just beware. OK? However it was a little too sweet for my liking. But I won't blame them for that. Everyone likes different things. The customer service was mediocre. No one greets you and the cashier didn't acknowledge me nor my party. It's not like they were rude they just don't pay much attention to who comes in. Ordering was simple and straightforward. Overall this place isn't bad but it isn't the best. And it was a little pricey for what we got In my opinion.
