This is a cute local spot. I was hiking nearby and was searching for ice cream places that had cookie dough (the craving was real). They have a good-sized parking lot which I appreciate. I grabbed a kid sized cup of vanilla with cookie dough - it was $5.87 with the tip. The girl at the counter was super nice and we chatted for a bit. I'm going to say I really want to give this place five stars. First of all, it's a super location. It has a really cute parking lot with the cute little vibe of the lights and all the tables. I got a coffee frappe because I'm more of a drinker of ice cream that I am an eater. The frappe was delicious but I was pretty full. It was a coffee one. Socs knows how to do soft serve! The soft serve here is pretty darn good. It's creamy and smooth and thick. The line gets pretty long and parking can be dicey when there's a big rush, but they move the line along pretty quickly. Bonus: They accept credit cards! Most little ice cream places don't, so I appreciate that Socs is keeping up with the times. I am VERY grateful of the owner's decision to do mosquito spraying in the spring and summer. They have a sign up that they do it, and it really makes a huge difference. I was able to comfortably enjoy my ice cream at dusk, prime mosquito time.
