I asked for a champagne birthday cake for my mom and ended up with a mess. She told me two days before pickup that the edible label wasn't going to make it on time so I agreed to have a paper label on the cake, especially since there was no way I would of been able to find someone else to make custom birthday cake for me in two days on Thanksgiving weekend. The cake didn't even arrive in a box. It arrived on a flimsy piece of cardboard & the label was already ruined with water drops from wherever it was stored prior. It was a joke to the point that we legit covered allllll of it with candles to hide the discoloration and unevenness. Unfortunately, I am empathetic and decided to wait on messaging her since I didn't want to ruin her Thanksgiving with a negative message. Once I got settled back home, I decided to message her and let her know of my disappointment and how I didn't plan on working with her again. I at least wanted my deposit back. NOPE. Since I waited an exact week, she offered $15 off a future order with her after I told her that I don't feel comfortable working with her again. May I remind you: she waited two days to tell me about not having the edible label. SO IF YOU HATE YOUR CAKE, SPEAK UP!! Even if it is right before the holidays. She doesn't care about your feelings so don't spare hers. Better yet: support someone else that is more personable with better costumer service skills and is brave enough to let you know when they can't deliver on something.
