A perfect experience from start to finish A+…read more I stopped into Cupcake City and spoke with Jodi about ordering a large number of cupcakes for my niece's baby shower. She made me feel as though nothing mattered more than making my niece happy--true old-school customer service. We discussed several options, and then Keri joined us: the Picasso of cupcake baking and design. She was tremendous, and watching her sketch and talk through ideas was incredible. The cupcakes themselves were beyond delicious, with frosting that was absolutely outstanding. Jodi and Keri are an unbeatable team. Thank you so very much. Very grateful!

The cake was much higher than what it is now. I believe that it was 2 eight inch cakes combined with layers of cream in between the different layers. For the cost, I need more cake and less whip cream. Not sure that I will order again.

A girl in front, apparently named Maddie, was happy to help us and answer any questions we had. I bought 2 red velvet, 2 chocolate ganache, 2 chocolate buttercream, 3 vanilla buttercream, 1 white raspberry cupcakes, and a few vanilla macaroons. Altogether, this purchase came up to about $20. Long story short, no other place can compare to Sweet Spot Bakery. I wasn't sure what I got myself into, but I had no clue Sweet Shop would raise the bar to point where I don't think I can ever taste another cupcake the same way. I instantly knew by the softness of the macaroons and the moist sweetness of the cupcakes that I would be a regular at this establishment. And I have been! I've gone back at least every two weeks and have been recognized. If any shop could take my money and heart, I'm glad it's Sweet Spot!

I don't know if the staff were just having a bad morning or maybe there were customers with bad attitudes before me, but dang. There was no one behind me and I wasn't fully sure what kind my friends would want. I wanted to peruse some. I was in and out in about 5 minutes, but the woman behind the counter seemed bothered that I was asking questions about the muffins like the flavors. The display case doesn't have them listed by the muffins. There's a flavor board behind the counter which is helpful, but it would be better if they were each labeled somewhat so you could see and pick them. I asked 2 questions overall and panicked and just picked 2 other flavors hoping they would be okay, but it wasn't as good of an experience as last month and left me a bit flustered. I'm never expecting over the top super happy, springy first thing in the morning but rolling your eyes and acting exhausted from 2 questions just seemed like a bit much for a happy and bright muffin spot.

Especially the home made biscuits. These were amazing. Hot, flaky, very much home made with a maple butter that is sinful. Entrees were mushroom tortellini and eggplant parm. Attempt #1: I arrived during posted business hours, doors locked, but two women inside. Repeated knocking got no response. It took a phone call to get someone to come to the door to nonchalantly announce that they decided to not open that day. Would have been nice to post a sign in the door saying so. Attempt # 2: I came the following week, not too long after noontime opening. No blueberry muffins in the case, and the same woman who opened the door last time took a look through several plastic tubs of muffins, trying in vain to find one. If there was someone taking bets on whether those tubbed muffins were baked that day, I'd bet a significant sum against it. I wound up ordering a chocolate chip muffin. Impressive dome, good crispiness, densely packed commercial quality chips, but dry. Really dry. Like couple-days-old dry. To make matters worse, the hot coffee was lukewarm. There won't be an attempt #3.
