I've never eaten in a place that has a better atmosphere for my tastes! The outdoor seating is upscale with the perfect lighting puts the biggest type A personality in a relaxed and happy mood. I didn't even need a drink to chill out. My experience with my needy family was the best I've ever had! My kids didn't touch their phones the whole time, which is a first as well. The server suggested come cocktail that was guaranteed amazing, and it was. We had NY Strip and Filet Mignon that was cooked perfectly. I've talked to other trusted nightlife friends and they say the seen at night is unbelievable so I can't wait to experience that! WOW! This is, hands down, the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. We were seated on the patio right beside a heater on a chilly night. The jazz trio playing was amazing and added the most appropriate ambiance. The patio is beautifully decorated. Our server, Adam, was absolutely incredible and very knowledgeable of the menu. He suggested only the most amazing things. We began our meal with bread service and oysters. The oysters were accompanied by three different sauces, all of which were amazing. Each pairing offered a delicious flavor. We then split a ceasar salad, which allowed for the perfect portions. When it came to deciding steak, my boyfriend and I knew we didn't want to do anything basic. He chose to have the A5 Japanese Wagyu cooked to the chef's preference (medium rare) which was the most amazing steak I have ever had in my life. The amount of flavor and juiciness packed into this steak was incredible. It absolutely melts in your mouth. I chose the 8oz Snake River Farms Gold filet which was incredible. I chose the Bernaise sauce for the side, which definitely wasn't necessary. The outside of the steak was perfectly crispy but still so juicy and rich in flavor on the inside. It was cooked to perfection. To split, we got the Gratin potatoes which were amazing. They weren't too cheesy or creamy, and the ham added a hint of smoky flavor. For dessert, we went for the donuts. These were so airy and flaky; not too sweet. Paired with a delicious caramel sauce, these cinnamon sugar donuts were to die for! Overall, one of the best restaurants in Naples. One of our favorite meals in Naples, was here at The Continental. We arrived for a later lunch (around 1pm) after a morning spent bike riding and walking in the hot sun, we were ready for a relaxing and delicious lunch! *Apprehensive at first, I had called to see if there was a dress code - I was told there was not, and we arrived in athleisure wear (but actually having worked out...) we were promptly seated outside in the shade, and treated no differently than any other patron. The outdoor seating area is sublimely wonderful, a breeze flows through the courtyard, and it's well lit by the sun, however overhead vines and structure provides respite from the hot Florida sun. We started off with drinks - my husband ordered a white wine he's still raving about, and I perused the non-alcoholic 'Prohibition Legal' section. The Silk Road Smash caught my eye - anything with fresh strawberries is usually a good bet for me. I ordered it and was rewarded by a bright, refreshing, and delicious afternoon tea. It's Rhubarb Tea, Strawberry Purée, and Lime. Not sickening sweet at all, however after drinking about 1/4 of the drink, I diluted it with water and enjoyed it much more! For lunch we split the Grilled Steak Escarole Caesar entree salad ($20) and the Fried Chicken Sandwich ($16). The salad was wonderful - Escarole Caesar, Parmigiano, Brioche Croutons, with perfectly cooked grilled steak. It was indulgent without being too heavy, and the perfect ratio of steak:salad (if anything, it was more steak-heavy, than salad-heavy!). The Fried Chicken Sandwich was my husbands order, and normally I'd choose anything else on the menu, but I was actually SO glad he ordered this! The chicken sandwich came out and I was happy to see it wasn't crazy fried (I was expecting a deep-fried style sandwich). Served with a Buttermilk-Herb Aioli and housemade 'pickled cucumbers' (...pickles?), it was amazing. The sandwich was bright and crunchy with the Lettuce, tomato, and pickles, yet savory with the aioli. YUM-MY! At this point, we're relaxing with the gentle breeze and happy to be out of the sun for a beat - we had about a mile walk back to our hotel, which we were somewhat avoiding. We're content but not full, and cheerfully sipping on our drinks. Our waiter brings out a dessert menu and we decided to tempt fate. I'm not a doughnut person normally, but cinnamon-sugar doughnuts are my weakness (the ones we purchase while apple picking, and intending to bring them home - but... sometimes eat them all? Yea, those.) We ordered the Half dozen warm cinnamon-sugar doughnuts which were served with a salted caramel sauce ($10). OH. MY. GOODNESS. Somehow these were fall-apart-fluffy and airy, yet packed with flavor and dough. OMG amazing. Yes, they are mini doughnuts, but I only intended on having 1 or 2 - but before I knew what was happening, we both finished our 3 doughnuts in the blink of an eye! I'm not ashamed to admit I was licking my fingers after finishing these bad boys! Go here. And make sure to order these damn donuts! read more

Great experience and food to match. We did not plan to dine here but walking downtown in the evening this place caught our eye and made plans for the next day. The atmosphere did not disappoint and the service was excellent. The food was very good from the octopus appetizers and bread service was very good. For our dinners we decided to not have steaks, I had grouper that was very good and chicken that was cooked to perfection. We will definitely return and will try one of the steaks on their menu. Bartenders are awful (pony tail guy and brown hair beard guy) My girlfriend and I have come here on 2 separate occasions. The first time the bartenders (listed above) were very rude. We came back giving the benefit of the doubt as we liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Unfortunately exactly the same bartenders as last time with the same experience as the last. We really had wonderful evening here. The downside was that we were seated in their enclosed outside area but with no cover over us. Looking around I saw that most people were either under an umbrella or a valanced part of the patio. We were under the trees and were bothered by droppings from them. Other than that: the menu is a bit confusing in that the steaks are divided into many different types ranging from Iowa Prime (the low end) to silver and gold descriptions. Besides that, I must say that everything we had was absolutely delicious. The Iowa prime small filet mignon is perfect - you won't find a better one. One member of our group had tripletail - a white fish which he loved and another, the snapper, also a hit. The salad which accompanied my filet was excellent, as was my unusual spritzer cocktail. Great seafood and steak house.. their heirloom tomato salad with ricotta is phenomenal. It tastes so fresh and flavorful especially the green tomato. Wine and cocktails were great. I got the 8oz silver label filet which was top notch. The sides are family style. Our group got the twice baked potatoes (best thing I've ever put in my mouth), cream corn, and carrots. Everything was great. Dessert we got the key lime pie, caramel banana pie(my fave), chocolate cheesecake, and brownie with ice cream. It is a pricey restaurant but service and food are superb. The evident wealth in Naples is simply breathtaking, and the restaurants and many stores reflect that. The Continental is no exception and takes pride in it positioning, scale, draw and pricing. We all had an appetite for steak (duh!), but found the smallest size for NY Strip to be all of 14oz.....twice the size we aged persons tend to consume per sitting. We asked the server if smaller cuts were possible, he offered regrets but said that one of their steaks was shareable by two persons. We checked - it was indeed, however it weighed-in at 42oz! Oh well, 14oz NY Strips it was to be for two of us, others moved to fish entrees and an 8oz Filet, more manageable portions (but not the steak I wanted!). The steaks and all foods were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed, though we puzzled over the harsh treatment given to the sprouts side dish, which seem to have been flogged into submission. Good wines too. Live music attracted several diners to the dance floor and the bar looked like a great place to hang and watch the money walk by (id the CEO seemed a good game to play). This was a special occasion for us, so the prices were justified and seems appropriate. We'd return for similar special events, but seek smaller fare and more modest pricing for more regular dining. I would not return to this restaurant. My husband and I both absolutely love a good martini and a good Cosmo. The Continental touts it's Craft Cocktails as great-- there's quite a bit about the cocktails on their menu and on their webpage. We eat out almost every night in Naples and our drinks last night we're very disappointing Somebody needs to tell the manager to get the traditional martini glasses. Our martinis came in what looked like a short wine glass. In addition, our service was slow. I doubt that we will ever be back. read more

One of our favorite places to dine in Naples. The food is delicious and the wait staff professional. Just had dinner there last week. The service, ambiance and food was up to par (which is excellent) even during Easter/spring break when the town is flooded with tourists and it is very very busy. My only comment that is not positive is that the women who work the front door/hostess stand are rude, arrogant, bossy, unprofessional and seem to have a chip on their shoulder.....sort of like bouncers you might find at a night club in South Beach. They need to be trained or coached on how to be nicer. And gracious. Their sister restaurant, Campiellos, is the same way.....so we stopped going there and they seem to be on a power trip. Nevertheless, once you get past the hostess stand and seated, it is a fantastic experience!!! read more

First time at The Continental for us. Hard to believe living here 20+ years and being a Huge prime steak fan. First class place! Waiter, sorry but forgot his name, was excellent. It was a busy night but he was always attentive. Appetizers, Yellowtail Carpaccio A, Grilled Octopus A+, Crab Souffle B. The 4 of us had different steaks, Prime Rib Eye for me which was fantastic. Others had Prime Filet, Piedmontese Filet and Snake River Farms Silver Filet. 3 assorted veggie & potato sides rounded out a outstanding meal. What a delight to strut into these new digs to the smooth live jazz sounds coming from the patio amidst the shakes of freshly made cocktails behind the bar. Needless to say, the Continental is a classy setting without being pretentious. Warm wood chairs on the interior, linen upon each table, wine room, several cabana style tables outside, plenty of patio seating, open kitchen and an overall sexy atmosphere makes the Continental a pleasure to dine or enjoy a cocktail. Yes, the prices are high, but from the fare enjoyed by my family and me for lunch, it was definitely worth it. The burger is one of the best you will find, hands down. Nice char, full of flavor, fresh bun, piled high served with crisp pomme frittes. The brunch frittata, 3 eggs, tomatoes, gooey cheese and mushrooms is making my mouth water again! Delish, all around. Every staff member even said they partake in the burger almost every shift. I can see why. Excellent Bloody Mary as well. Service was attentive, friendly, thorough and high class. Well done. Who is training this crew? They could use some Ritz Cartlton 101. Obviously this restaurant is floating on the coattails of Campiellos but if they aren't nice it could bite them in the ...! The place is busy, way too many people are served by one sever. There is live music and it is too loud and the speakers are not of good quality, so the place is noisy. We dined here for a second time this past weekend and although pricey, it has become one of our favorite restaurants in Naples. The patio is very modern, inviting and absolute gorgeous. There are a few cabana style arrangements located on the exterior of the patio for larger parties and they also sometimes have live music. The bar, located on the patio, with one side almost on the inside of the restaurant is great. Very large, circular bar with large beakers of craft cocktails hanging down the center. The bartenders are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The first time we dined in the dining room and sat in a booth facing the patio. It was excellent from start to finish. The service was top notch. He spaced out our meal perfectly and had great recommendations. The second visit, we dined at the bar, unsure of how hungry we were. After our first drink, the bartender informed us of a special menu from 5-6 that is offered. It's a choice of salad and small surf and turf option for $29.95--amazing deal! My fiancé and I split one, which was perfectly portioned and the steak was prepared perfectly and delicious. Although they are expensive, it is well worth it! Especially for a fun night out in Naples for a group on the patio or a romantic dinner for two inside. Their craft cocktails are inventive and they have an extensive wine list. I also think it's important to note that they do have some bottles for $40 or so and some entrees are large enough to split. Go here! read more

My husband and I came to celebrate my birthday and it was excellent. The restaurant itself was adorable. I'm sure that in the winter it's great to sit outside for dinner. Our Server, Juan, was fantastic and all his recommendations were spot on. We shared the octopus and steak tartare as an appetizers. They were both great. We both decided to have a fish and each fish was perfectly prepared. The mushroom side was delicious, as were the potatoes. We shared a key lime pie that was different but very good, as it was infused with blackberry. They had live music and many couples dancing and enjoying the beautiful night. Walking by this place brought me back home with its South beach style and decor is delightful and refreshing. (Honestly speaking I didn't miss the S. beach crowd one bit. LOL!) Very trendy looks great for large groups. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a look at a menu but I did get to try a very refreshing cocktail. They have an amazing craft cocktail menu with numerous options and in house orbs of gin that any GIN lover would die for... Wanna shake your tree- was my drink of choice and it was very tasty and refreshing. When mixing ingredients like vodka, sparkling wine, peach, and basil who could resist? Generally this cocktail is served up in one of those cute 1920's style champagne glasses, but since I am a PIA I wanted it on the rocks. No problem, request granted! Catering to a pregnant woman is so hard - I know I'm difficult. I was so embarrassed to order their burger well done (...I couldn't bring myself to order a steak this way!) and oh my - this is the best burger I have ever had! Simply Incredible! Husband ordered a steak that unfortunately didn't come out right - but corrected immediately to perfection. He even can't stop talking about how tasty everything was!
