I loved soft serve ice cream as a kid. As I grew up I came to see it as some strange flavorless processed food product. I always thought I had liked it as a kid because, like so many other things, I just didn't know any better. Then I had a cone at The Cone. It wasn' me, it was the ice cream. I have seen this ice cream place before, but never stopped by. Ordered a brownie sundae with peanut butter sauce. Price was a little high for a small sundae. It was very good. The peanut butter sauce did not taste homemade. I would go back to try other menu items. read more

This place has got very yummy ice cream. The choices are endless here! I love the flavored shaved ice and ice cream combo. Their equivalent to the DQ Blizzard are the Cone Wizzards. Talk about a West Chester iconic place! You can't miss this place on the street even if you wanted too, there's a HUGE ice cream cone as a building. The staff is super friendly, mostly college kids trying to make a buck. It only opens from Late April til' Late September, it might be open before or after depending on the weather. Every single ice cream, no matter the flavor I have tried, is extremely good! They consistency is perfect for soft serve ice cream, no to tangy and super smooth. I love this place. Seriously. Its got some of the best softserve in Cinci. I personally love the peanut butter. Some of the other flavors are a little too sweet for my tastes. This is an absolute must-visit if you are in the area. It has a good selection of treats, a drive-thru if you are busy, things for the kids to do and a nice selection of pinball for the adults inside. There is ample seating. They are usually busy when we stop by, but I don't think I have ever waited longer than 10 minutes to get my food. My kids take that long just to pick out what they want. I guess a twist dipped in chocolate is really hard to make. I was handed a twist cone. Asked for it to be dipped, was told to to put it upside down in a cup then made it clear I wanted a twist dipped IN chocolate and was then handed a vanilla dipped in chocolate. read more

You can't miss this crazy ice cream stop, with the ice cream cone shaped building and all the crazy lights. Love that there is a drive through. I would rate The Cone as my all-time favorite soft serve location in Ohio. That may not mean much to you, but I've had a LOT of soft serve. While they charge a bit more for their products than other places, you are paying for the quality of the ice cream. The soft serve is the creamiest, smoothest you've ever tried! And the peanut butter--don't even get me started! Amazing! If you're really craving a sweet treat, get the Buckeye Parfait with peanut butter ice cream. I LOVE THE CONE. I'm a West Chester resident now, but I drove a good 30 minutes MANY times just to visit. The Cone is, indeed, cone shaped. However, that is not the main attraction. I'm a sucker for seasonal creamy whip ice cream stands. I'd been wanting to try The Cone for a while. The oversized cone that houses the service windows just made me feel like a kid at a fun house. The atmosphere made me a little giddy. They had lots of flavor varieties on both the ice cream and the dip tops. I was craving a sundae, so I tried the coconut macaroon. I was disappointed at the very scant amount of toasted coconut on top - I really expected it to be a focal point and I had to double-check that they even included it. But overall, how can you sad about creamy goodness covered in hot fudge. I'll make a return trip. read more

The Cone is one of the West Chester favorites and has been for many, many years. Known for their orange and vanilla soft serve, they also have an extensive ice cream and dessert menu of any ice cream-related dessert you could think of. I love this place! The ice cream is yummy, and they have an awesome selection of dip tops. It's a little tight on parking , but it's worth it.
