Was going to donate a computer to a friend in need. The computer case was pretty banged up so I called this shop up to see if they had any old cases laying around I could have for free. Robert told me he did and to come on down. First issue was it took 3 tries over three different days to finally get into the shop because he is never in. When we finally meet up he pulls a computer case out of the back and says "This is too nice of a case to give away but I'd let it go for $40". After reminding him that I am giving away a computer myself to someone in need and asking about the free case he said he had Robert continued to insist I buy his $40 case. In the end I left and just gave the case away as is. The entire shop was littered with random junk. The store and the equipment in it reek of smoke and there was a ashtray full of cigarette butts sitting out on the workbench. Save yourself the hassle and give someone else your business. read more

Had an issue with my laptop screen and decided to try a local computer repair shop-support local right? Bad idea! Every time this guy touched my laptop he discovered more problems with it that he claimed were broken when I brought them in. Three times I had to come back and over $200 later, I have a refurbished laptop screen in my machine and the light doesn't stay on unless it's plugged in. To top it off the owner yelled at me in front of his store for rushing him to complete the job. Very unprofessional person and poor service. I felt so uncomfortable with him working on my machine again that I'd rather pay more money to have someone else I can trust fix it. It's too bad people like this put a bad name out there for small businesses. read more

Brought my laptop in to get a power jack repaired, was returned to me with the GPU completely fried (was working prior to taking it to him), and the joint for the screen totally jacked up so now I have to hold that down when opening/closing the screen. Filed a complaint with the BBB, waiting for the outcome. $1,600 laptop brought in for a $75 repair, left with a $400+ repair needing to be done. Much like a previously posted review on yelp, he called me over the course of 2 days with more and more problems found. First grommets loose that he needed to glue in, then failing to boot, then fried gpu, then screen not staying attached. Further problems have been occurring since the "repair", left side of the keyboard is failing, lost all control of my fan speed, errors on bootup related to sata not detecting my boot drive, blue screen of death related to processor failing to output to 2nd screen. He's been not responding the the BBB complaint I've filed. Does not deserve to be in business. Do not recommend! Avoid at all costs! As he responded to the BBB, a whole month past the time he was supposed to, he looked up my previous name, and harassed me in his letter, misgendered me, and lied through his teeth. read more

Took my laptop in for repairs, found out it needed a new hard drive, they repaired it and it is working fine. Cost @ $200.00 I started building a computer at home and took it to them for an inspection to make sure all the wiring was hooked up correctly. They checked it out and bench tested it for me cost $20. Working on my second build now...having trouble with the motherboard or processor.....not sure which but called them and asked them to check both to see which is bad, they said no problem bring it up and they will test both and let me know. I have had good luck with them. read more

I got the dreaded blue screen on my three-year-old laptop and took it to the Computer Guy. The owner/technician charged me something like $165 and it blue-screened right after I got it home. It turns out all he did was reinstall everything to factory settings, which did not solve the problem at all. Do not take your computer here. He will not even take the time to figure out what is actually wrong with your computer, plus he is really rude. read more

I have been going to the computer guy for years and he is fantastic! I have dropped lap tops off and he has picked others up. Always found him to be honest and reasonable and communicates well. It is not like dropping the machine off at one of those big places where it gets lost for days in a sea of others or sent out of state, the owner handles it personally and, for me, has needed to clean up messes from my trying to bring it to one of the larger outfits because it was closer to my home. He is absolutely worth the drive! We don't go anywhere else. read more

My stepson took a laptop to the Computer Guy for service and was told that it would be fixed for $200. He was given a loaner laptop to use in the meantime. After 2 MONTHS I asked my stepson where the computer was and was told it was still in the shop. We went to the shop together to ask what the situation was and were told that the laptop was fixed (why didn't he call and tell us it was done?) but that the price was now $300. When I said that that was not the agreed upon price, the owner became belligerent and demanded his loaner laptop back. We handed it over, and he immediately took it to the back of the shop and began tinkering with it. He then told us that the memory was missing and demanded reimbursement for the computer. I said "you just took it out, just now" and he threatened to call the police. I called the police myself, and explained what had happened. At this point, the owner stated he didn't want to make a big deal of things and gave us our original laptop at the agreed upon $200. I paid it, only because I wanted to get out of there and never see this man again. I strongly advise you to NEVER do business with this crook!!! read more

Very dissatisfied. Rude service. Took my computer there, he claimed to fix several "hidden" issues and charged me quite a bit (much more than quoted). Took the computer home and nothing on it was fixed. I had to take it back four times, and in four times he fixed nothing. His explanation Was that I do not know how to use the computer properly. When I asked him to turn it on and show me it was fixed he got very angry. yelled and stormed off. Absolutely the worst repair service of any type I have used in my entire life, avoid like a plague rat! read more
