Yikes, what a disaster. Right off the bat, service with a snarl. We arrived one cool evening (well before closing time). The place had maybe about 1/5th capacity with multiple empty tables. The atmosphere was calm. There did not seem to be any stress. However, there was absolutely no one to meet us and multiple waiters walked by us without even acknowledging our presence. We were finally seated and rushed to a table near by and the menus thrown at us. Like, literally thrown. We waited patiently to order and after 20 mins of not seeing anyone around or approach us, we finally get someone who promptly begins with a "whadda ya want." She proceeds to cut us off mid sentence every time and is gone before we could talk about the sides we wanted. Yeesh. We were hungry so we decided to tough it out. Big mistake. The food was greasy and hot on the outside but cold on the inside. It was bland, like someone was petrified of salt. and on top of that, all sloppily thrown together. But after all that, I'll tell ya, they sure were eager to give us the bill! They started clearing our table even before we were finished. I mean, we clearly had half a plate of food left each and someone started to take it away without asking. I had to physically block them to put it back. No apology but I got a real nice eye roll. Overall, it was just an unfortunate experience. Perhaps it was a really bad day for them but to take it out on a customer is unnecessary and unprofessional. Combined that with the fact that there are plenty of great restaurants around that serve similar types of food, they can definitely do better. This will be a do not recommend. read more

Do it, this is such a friendly and reliable spot. My best friend and I each drove about 30 minutes in opposite directions to meet here and it was so worth it! The selection availability is just right and classic. And the twist on using challah bread as opposed to the typical options really take the taste up a notch. Simple blends of flavors but perfect for a relaxed brunch. Great prices and the bacon with French toast is just the ideal combo. Wish they had some type of BYOB drinks option but this spot looks VERY family friendly so I understand. The service and look of the place tie in very well for a vibe of cozy get togethers with friends and family. On the day I came for lunch, this pig wasn't very committed. Ordered the pork sandwich with an egg. For the price, I expected much more protein. A Hawaiian pulled pork sandwich, at the same price level, would have twice the meat, for example. It's too bad because the taste was very good, especially the toasted brioche buns. read more

The wait time to be seated indoors at the committed pig was quick. However, my first observation after being seated was that there was food all over the floor. Seeing food on the floor before receiving my food made me feel uneasy and gave me a unsanitary feeling. The service has gotten terrible. This weekend I waited fifteen minutes at my table without being helped, and so I left. People who had entered ten minutes after us had their order taken first. That was the first time in the 15 minutes I was there we even saw wait staff - the two high school hostesses (which hardly seem necessary in such a small restaurant) and someone bussing the tables were the only staff otherwise. Not to mention, the table we were seated at was sticky. I watched as another table got bussed, and it was only cleaned with a dry cloth - no cleaning agent or liquid. So I can understand why the tables are sticky. Finally, the restaurant wasn't even at 50% capacity and we were sat at a table only 5 inches from another party and in a high traffic area. The layout of the restaurant needs improvement, and NEW CHAIRS. The colorful metal chairs are so uncomfortable and not size-inclusive. read more

The Harvest Burger is the September special and I guarantee you I will be back before this month ends. They also have gluten-free hamburger buns. One of my sons had the grill cheese with tomato soup...he truly enjoyed his meal. While my other son had pancakes, sausage and eggs...he said best pancakes ever. He actually said the setting reminds him of First Watch but the food at The Committed Pig was 10x better. Ohhhhhh the coffee was Ahhhhhmazing. They serve it in a thermos and it stay fresh and hot. The most racist and disgusting treatment that I have ever received. The lack of compassion, respect, and obvious bias disgusted me. Don't come here if you're a person of color. An estimated 1 hour wait for Sunday brunch for 4 quickly shrunk to 20 minutes, not bad at all on a beautiful fall day. They're great at turning over tables quickly but don't rush you at all. My friend and I were in the area looking for a place to have breakfast/brunch. Saw this place from Drybar down the street so gave it a try. Walked in, greeted, and sat. The brunch menu is nothing special, I wouldn't drive out of my way to come but it is a nice spot if you are in the area. I ordered the One Eyed Pete. It is two slices of bread with the middle cut out and an over was egg served with hash browns. I added avocado and cheese on top of the slices of bread. It was delicious. The egg yolk with the bread and cheese was lovely. Finished it with nothing left. Don't care for the service at all. The beverages were not attended to. We ordered water so I just expect it to be refilled. I actually saw someone going around with pitcher of water refilling glasses. Won't stop me from coming back because the meal was good. read more

Burgers were really good. In fact, the actual burgers (minus toppings) would warrant a solid 4.5 stars for flavor and quality. The problem is the lack of choice when it comes to burgers. Why not do a "create your own" burger, where you let people start with a plain hamburger, and add their own choices like onions, mushrooms, cheese, pickles, etc. My partner got a cheeseburger, but he would have liked one with mushrooms and sautéed onions. He didn't like any of the choices, so he settled for the plain cheeseburger. I tried the Illy Dilly burger. Once again, the burger was really good, and it was hot - but how on earth were the "fried pickle chips" ice cold? (I took a few bites and thought I was imagining it. I wanted to make sure, so I pulled one out, and sure enough it was ice cold.) My waffle fries were pretty good, but his regular fries were actually disgusting. They didn't seem like they were cooked enough, and they were bland and cold. Even adding salt and ketchup didn't help. Mickey D's has much better fries. Heck - any fast food, fast casual, or other restaurant has MUCH better fries. I can honestly say that frozen fries, purchased in a supermarket and reheated at home are MUCH better than the fries here. They give you a huge serving of fries - too bad we had no desire to eat them. Service started out OK, but considering there were only a few other people in the place around 6:15 on Sunday evening, it was not good. He took a while to come back to take our orders, and we had to flag him down to bring our check. Not sure we'd find a reason to ever come back. Re Morristown location. Breakfast yesterday was lovely. So when I returned today for lunch with my sister, I was sure we had discovered a gem. Then her omelet came out burned. By burned I mean, eggs cooked *hard*, blackened edges where the spinach hit the pan, fully brown across the surface. She tried to eat and gave up after two forkfuls, munching instead on my fries. When I was done we requested the bill and our server asked if we needed boxes, though my plate was clean, there was most of an omelet uneaten. I said, my sister's omelet was completely burned. The reply astonished us. "You should have told me." She said. "You should have told me and I could get you a new one." My sister replied she chose not to send it back. Server continued to scold her. I interrupted to say it was probably cooked on a grill that needed to be wiped and we just wanted to say something before the next customer. Server answered ," well, butter burns." When she returned with the bill, she scolded again. Next time you have a problem you should say it right away. Maybe next time you should order the ham and cheese omelet instead." (Because only spinach omelets get burned?) My sister explained she doesn't eat ham, that we were telling her, and that we just wanted the chef to know. She walked off. Paid the bill at the counter and server came back to say the omelet had been removed from the bill. I replied I never wanted that and we were giving feedback. She got louder: I'm not here to argue with you. I apologized. I told her I hadn't heard an apology and that she had yelled at us when we alerted her. She walked away angry. I think this is probably a really good place. But when a server responds to feedback by scolding the customer, talking down to them and storming off rather than offering a "hey, sorry about that. What can I do?" ( To which we would've answered, make sure the chef knows please) there's a problem. Wish I could've offered direct feedback to the manager rather than post in Yelp, but they didn't come out, and there is NO contact information online, so here it is. It was much more packed than I thought it would be. When i sat down at my table and picked up the menu it was covered in a coat of slick grease. Mmmmmm lovely. Im going out to eat a sloppy greasy delicious burger but the details matter. The burgers themselves weren't anything to rave home about. We got the jalapeño burger with sweet potato fries and the brie burger with regular fries. The jalepeno one was the bigger disappointment of the two. It came with flavorless cheese complimented with a thiccccck slice of cold cream cheese. The cream cheese was so thick that when it came out I thought it was a slice of mozzarella. The burger collectively was just extremely lackluster in flavor. The brie burger was good. The bacon wasn't as salty as I anticipated it to be and the brie was oozing everywhere. Yummmmm. We finally decided to check this place out today, as soon as we got there, around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon, there was of people. I thought the line would be at least 1 hr, but it was only 15 min. They were delicious - and for the price, I'm not complaining. We've been to the Morristown Pig many times and although there was often a wait we've always enjoyed our meals there. I got take-out last night for the 1st time from the Summit location. The experience was so much easier mainly because you can find plenty of parking in the lot almost directly across the side street. As for the food I had one of my favorites, the Mr. Beautiful, a turkey burger with gruyere cheese, avocado, jalapenos, and a fried egg. Delicious! read more
