The fries that came with it was perfect. They have outdoor and indoor seating. When dining they do say you can only be there for 45 minutes which is not a lot of time but since it was not busy they let us stay as long as we needed and we were able to take our time. Solid brunch spot (I'd probably say closer to a 3.5 for me). Clearly everyone loves it cause they don't take reservations and there is always a wait but they are good about taking your name down and texting your when your table is ready. It's in downtown so you can just walk down the street and get a coffee or sit in the park across the street. Food itself was good. The poached eggs in my breakfast bowl were cooked very well (outside was soft and almost creamy and inside runny as expected) and the fresh fruit and waffle fries were both good. Hubby had the good morning burger and really loved it. Friends had omelette which were fine. We shared the Nutella fresh toast for the table and that was a great choice! We didn't bring champagne but it's byob so you can bring your own and they have orange juice for mimosas. Service was okay. We had breakfast here this morning and would likely not be back anytime soon. We arrived close to when they opened to beat the crowds. The food was surprisingly good, but the service was lacking and atmosphere was not relaxing. The challah French toast and bacon was better than expected. My husband got pancakes with a side of fruit after asking what came in it and was told a mix of grapes, melon and pineapple. There was 1-2 grapes and 1.5 small pieces of pineapple. Like most places, it was mostly cantaloupe and honeydew, which is underwhelming. The two main reasons we likely wouldn't return: 1. We were seated close to a large party with shrieking babies. The entire time we were there, every few minutes we had to listen to ear piercing screams and the parents did nothing to help minimize it. 2. We were ignored from the beginning. We were seated and a few moments later another couple were seated next to us. Although we arrived and were seated first, our waitress chose to attend to the couple next to us who had just arrived rather than greet and wait on our table that had been waiting for 5-8 minutes. The couple next to us got their drinks and food ahead of us -- not a great first impression. The service wasn't good, we had to ask for straws, syrup, and a to go box. Our waitress also brought the wrong food to our table, seemed to blank on what she was doing, said out loud it was wrong before putting it down, and then delivered it to the couple next to us. She had an overall lack of attention and seemed to be in a daze the entire time, even though the breakfast crowd had basically just started. Not impressed with the experience and loud atmosphere. We came to Committed Pig prior to a performance of the Nutcracker at Mayo Performing Arts. The decor was dressed for Christmas with little pig references and images sprinkled through. The service was friendly. They were highly allergen aware. The food was great - The Fiesta Salad is fantastic and the Chipotle Honey dressing that comes with it is addictive. I just had the greatest brunch at the Pig with my son. It's cozy, sweet, and friendly. Their cold-brew coffee is amazing. I had an amazing bowl of quinoa and avocado and whatnot, and my son had a burger that he said was fantastic. I actually avoided going there bc I thought there wouldn't be anything on the menu I'd like bc they are kind of notorious for having this burger served on a donut, which just grosses me out. Jury duty gave me a chance to try their food and I'm glad I squeezed lunch in during a break in my courtroom stint. I went here for brunch with a group of my colleagues. They were able to accommodate 8 of us. It's a decent size and also has outdoor seating. My waitress was very friendly and very sweet. The food came out pretty quick, too. I had the challah French toast and sausage. It was so good. I finished my plate and literally wanted to order it again. I had some of the fruit from someone's order, and it was super fresh and sweet, which can be rare with some establishments. They don't have cocktails or alcoholic drinks, but you are able to bring your own bottle. The waitress gave us a cooler bucket for our champagne, and we got some OJ and made our own mimosas. There's street parking and a public parking lot that you can pay for that's like a 3-5-minute walk from the restaurant. It's across the street from this little park area with tulips so when you're done you can take a walk if you want and take in the scenery. I got the steer herder burger that comes with bbq sauce, cheddar jack cheese, and fried onion strings. Good burger, you can really taste the meat even with the bbq on there. The star of the show however was clearly my gf's Pig Mac burger. She got it with 2 breads instead of 3. Everything on that burger stood out and balanced each other perfectly. Add to that the casual, laid back ambiance and you have a winner. We also got an order of the Pig Fries. These you could share with a couple people. I don't see any one not liking this sandwich, we got it with the waffle fries which were fried to perfection super crunchy, but not over cooked. The French toast was also a really good plate to try, if you're a French toast person you'll def like these. We ordered OJs with our plates and in the background I hear a champagne bottle being opened and I asked the waitress do you guys have mimosas? She goes no it's BYOB and there's a liquor store up the block. So I went up the block and got a bottle for the table, offered to put it on ice for us but it was cold from the store so no need. The Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese Sandwich had spinach and artichoke spread, fontina, gruyere, and white cheddar. Although the flavor was good, it was extremely greasy, which was unappetizing. The regular Waffle Fries were crispy and seasoned well, but the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries were subpar and soggy. My favorite of the items I tried was the Challah Toast. Simple yet satisfying. Despite that, my breakfast fell just a little short. I ordered the "cheesy" grits which lacked the cheese, flavor, and thickness that grits are supposed to have. I also ordered the breakfast bowl which came with: quinoa, wild rice, salsa, avocado, poached eggs, and tortilla crunch, I thought that was just okay. I feel really bad because everyone there seems nice, but the service wasn't great and the food had no flavor. I ordered the Brie burger medium rare and my patty was well done and DRY. Also, the pattys had no flavor or seasoning and the fig spread was served on the side, which seems a little lazy to me. The Brie is literally just a giant piece of Brie, which was annoying to eat. It should have been more of a brie spread with the fig spread. Great experience across the table for our entire party of 4. We all had a great time and really enjoyed our meals. Even with the restaurant being crowded on a Sunday, the team at Committed. Pig handled it well. I used the waitlist on the Yelp app and saved a lot of time waiting. I enjoyed the Falafel Burger with hummus, sliced pickles, tomato, mixed greens, cucumber yogurt sauce, and a toasted brioche bun. You cant see any of the falafel from my pic because it's all covered up by pickles, but the falafel was outstanding. Instead of a typical hard hockey puck falafel this one was soft and mushy and oh so tasty. The waffle fries were top notch and Rose, our server was very attentive. She kept all of our glasses full and made sure she was there to help us the whole meal through. She was awesome !! My husband had a salad which he enjoyed. My friend had a burger and avocado and she was thrilled with her gluten-free bun! They also have vegetarian options and also make sure you get what you need. I will definitely be back. All burgers at the committed pig are double patties made with a pat lafrieda blend of short rib, hangar steak, and brisket. DELICIOUS!
