What a cute coffee place! The customer service is excellent and i love the variety on coffee lattes. I want to return for their themed days but it makes it hard since i work until 4pm This is a great place for social workers to rest and wait for your next appointment and purchase a coffee and some yummy food.
Very cool inside. Awesome smooth coffees. Good food. Only comment I personally would lighten up on the artificial smoke flavor on chicken bbq honey sriracha lavash. I will try something else next time. Not sure if in bbq sauce or something else. Deviled eggs tasty. Great service. Order at counter and they deliver to your table. Lots of secure parking within lot.
This is such a cute and vibey coffee shop in downtown Phoenix! They had so many drink and food options to choose from! The inside was beautiful and luxurious with plenty of seats! Service was quick and drinks came out quickly! I can't wait to go back to try some food!
Boss took me for a belated birthday lunch. She's been here before and really enjoys it, and I can see why. The interior itself is very nicely decorated - comfortable and welcoming. Despite the small size, there is plenty of seating. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and service was excellent. Order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Part of the menu changes based on the theme. Looks like we were there for the America 250 theme. I had the Dark Chocolate Chai (iced) which was delicious! Boss went with one of the state themed drinks. I think it was South Carolina. She loved it too. We shared the sandwiches - the Fire Roasted Chicken Salad, which is what the boss orders all the time apparently; and the Prime, Pimento and Blue Panini whichay be my favorite. I just love beef and blue cheese! The chicken was very good too, and there were several things on the menu that I'd love to try. This is a great little spot and I can see why she stops in regularly. It's out of the way for me, but maybe next time I'm up the street for a DBacks day game I'll drive a little further south for a sip and a bite!
Cute and cozy spot. I ordered an iced birthday cake latte along with the avocado toast and added a hard boiled egg on top. While the latte wasn't as sweet as I typically like them, I enjoyed it and it even came with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. I was a little skeptical when they bought the avocado toast.. it looked interesting. I was surprised how all the ingredients worked well together. I would definitely recommend this spot and be back!
Wow, this place is so cool! They have such an impressive variety of unique coffee drinks. The interior is super upscale and modern.. it has such a great vibe. I tried the Purple Bee, and it was fantastic! I only stopped by because I was visiting from out of town, but if I lived in the area, I would definitely be here all the time
My first time trying Coffee Builders since I happened to be in the area, and funnily enough... I don't even drink coffee! I was hoping they'd have some good tea options too, and they absolutely do. I ordered the iced peach black tea, and it was incredibly refreshing with a really nice peach flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The cashier was also super helpful in walking me through the menu and helping me decide what to order, which made for a great first impression. For breakfast, I got the avocado cream. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the chive cream was an absolute standout, it was so flavorful and ended up being the perfect dip for bites of the avocado toast. My only complaint is that it was pretty cumbersome to eat as served. I basically had to deconstruct the whole thing to enjoy it, so I think a different presentation would make the dish even better. The atmosphere was another highlight. It felt much more like a cocktail lounge than your typical coffee shop, which made it a really enjoyable place to sit and relax. Even though I can't personally vouch for the coffee, I had such a great experience that I can't wait to come back and next time I'll bring one of my coffee-loving friends to see if the coffee lives up to everything else!
Another excellent coffee shop in Phoenix! There were so many drink options that it was hard to choose but I went with the staff recommendation- the slopes, a blueberry favored latte. It was delicious! I ordered to go and didn't get to enjoy the lovely indoor space. There is also an outdoor space too.
This coffee shop looks like something you would see in a design builder studio. The inside looks designer, sophisticated, 80's wood inspired. Not one detail was overlooked, even the bar stools are purposefully chosen. Either the owner hired a designer, is married to one or they are in the developer business/community. In my travels throughout the world I have never seen this attention to detail for a 1000sq ft (at most) coffee shop. That being said the coffee is top notch. I was on the go and wish I had more time to soak up the synergy created in this space. I noticed Lots of business type patrons, not too many causal dressed clients. Proximity to downtown Phoenix, could be the cause. I will come back to try more of the star wars inspired drinks and from what I saw the food looks spectacular. I hope they are open late, as this could be a true date night spot.
Wow was a cute find! Nestled back in an industrial area, I was surprised to walk into such a fashionable, warm, welcoming coffee shop! I heard they go all out on themes (like Star Wars). After much discussion with the wonderfully helpful barista, I settled on the ceremonial iced matcha with a shot of rose, and the fruit bowl which is quite big! Cute patio with misters, or luxurious indoor velvet seats with speakeasy vibes. Definitely an unexpected find.
I didn't know what I was getting myself into before I walked into this place, but I'm glad I did. Someone really loves Star Wars. They had Lego Star Wars on tv. They had yoda balls. They had a full sci-fi menu. But they also had very nice people working, tasty food and a nice hot latte. That's exactly what I needed after a morning flight. I'd definitely go back the next time I fly into the Phoenix airport!
This is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in Phoenix. The inside of the shop is contemporary but has a speakeasy type of feel. They also have an outdoor patio. There's tons of gluten free options. I got the matcha latte with almond milk and a gluten free waffle. Everything was so good. I love their presentation. The service was quick and courteous. I love their attention to details. Definitely be back when I'm closer to downtown.
This week, I stopped in for a Yelp event and was blown away at the beautiful decor, drinks, food, and friendly staff. Star Wars + Coffee = a match made in heaven, or should I say space? My boyfriend is a Star Wars fan as well, so I had to go back a few days later to show him this amazing place when we were nearby at the Phoenix Zoo. That experience was also great, so I'll likely need to do an outing to take my Star Wars loving bestie out as she was mesmerized just by the pictures I shared with her. What We Ordered: - High Ground (Galactic Menu available until 5/31/2026) - espresso, milk, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate cold foam: so delicious that I returned days after a Yelp event to have this iced again! - Yoda Deviled Eggs (available until 5/31/2026): another repeat for me this week as I enjoyed it so much earlier this week! - Prime Rib Sliders: something new to try and we split. I really love spicy red pepper aioli as it added a nice heat to the slider, and some moisture as the prime rib was a bit tough. Not sure we'd order again due to that toughness, but the aioli was so delicious I'd see if it was on any other dish to order that to try next time. Yes, next time as I'm certain I'll return! Be sure to stop by before May 31st, 2026 to see the Star Wars theming! They even have a POD RACER! How cool. May the force be with you & SYOY!

The Coffee Builders is easily the best coffee shop in AZ (and I went to every shop that was in the AZ Republic and New Times "top coffee shops in the valley"). The coffee menu is vast, ever changing, and absolutely delicious. The ambiance is great and the service is even better. I go once a week and still everyone knows my name and they all confidently give suggestions instead of saying stuff like, "everything is great" (yes, everything is great but I love when employees take the time to make thoughtful suggestions). Even the food here is delicious! I can confidently say that if you like coffee (or waffles) you will LOVE The Coffee Builders! read more

Been coming here for a month now. Almost every morning before work. They have not missed on being authentic and savior. I've tried a great handful of items on the menu, Champagne Cheese Panini is go to (add chicken) to have more of that protein. Chocolate Pistachio is a favorite, but also has this theme event ( Harry Potter vibe) and they make fresh and fun coffee drinks. So far the "Half Blood Dirty Chai" is delicious. Definitely recommend for people that want to have a dope experience in coffee drinking! Let's not forget the staff, outstanding on their services and politeness, very helpful with recommendations. read more

This was my first trip to The Coffee Builder! What a TREAT! The theme this month was Harry Potter. I ordered a Half-Blood Dirty Chai and a Butter Brew. Both drinks were delish. Everything sets this coffee shop apart from the over commercialised coffee shops, such as Starbucks. The staff are friendly and welcoming and super helpful. It's clean and darling and furnished so warmly. My coffee was spot on delicious and my gluten free waffles were so yummy!! read more

Absolutely amazing coffee shop. First off, they're so friendly I ended up goin there two days in a row on my trip. The food is fantastic! First day I had Morning Glory (highly, highly recommend)! The port sautéed shallots on this were mind blowing! Next day I had Avocado toast - that was really good too! Now onto coffee - had a latte with their house made honey/lavender syrup - so delightful in the hobnail mug! Their interior is cute, love the vibe. I will say the lit up menu took me off guard. For some reason, it gave off a cheaper vibe but don't let that affect you - because I was surely wrong. Can't wait to go back! read more

The food was really good coffee was good but not mind-blowing. I would say they charge so much due to the presentation of their menu items which is fair. The place is way smaller than advertised causing a friend and I to have to stand in the middle of this tiny place and wait awkwardly for a table to clear. The service was not the best either, yes we got our food and drinks in good timing but the majority of employees did not seem happy to be there and were very short with us. I'd give this place a try if you're in the area but definitely not go out of my way to try it out. read more

So good! I'm currently doing the wanderlust coffee tour through Xanadu and this has been my favorite spot so far! I went around 8am on a Thursday and there was only 1 other person and they brought my coffee out very quickly! Didn't stay and drink it but it's very nice inside and they have some outdoor seating it looked like as well. read more

Came here because my sister and I were traveling through Phoenix and we are coffee nerds. This place is beautiful on the inside and out! We adored the tomato garden growing outside. The cafe acts as walk-in example of what the other side of their company does- construction and building. EVERYTHING was thought of for this little coffee shop- even the ceiling design was taken into consideration for acoustics and talking inside- there is no echo. Isn't that something? The pastries in the case looked divine. I was very impressed with the beautiful white la marzocco espresso machine- a telltale sign that a coffee shop knows what's up! How incredible. My only critique is this- this coffee shop uses torani styrups for their drinks. If i may make a respectful suggestion- please switch to monin syrups! They are much better quality. I think the drink experience would be much more elevated- and match the vibe of the store, for this switch! I cannot wait to come back here again. read more

Such a cute and cozy little shop! I had their nitro cold brew and it's probably some of the best I've had! I wish I had caught the name of the barista who took my order this morning-- he was so helpful and patient explaining their menu and offered me the nitro to sample before committing. Delicious and worth a stop anytime! read more
