Lauren, however, consistently goes above and beyond--many times she even has it prepared before I walk through the door. Her effort to provide fast and efficient service truly means a lot. The entire staff is amazing, and this location never disappoints when it comes to customer service and attention to detail. TERRIBLE customer service every time I come here! Staff is consistently rude and makes you feel like simple requests are an inconvenience. Today was the last straw. Ordered a drink online with extra ice, marked extra ice (even added it in the kitchen notes in capital letters since they always forget) and still got light ice. When I asked for a small cup of ice, I was told I had to pay $0.25. Of course I got attitude from the barista after telling her I had requested it in my order. Why am I receiving attitude for their mistake for not reading the order correctly??? This is my regular Coffee Bean and most of the times it's a great experience. I just went to get the Winter Dream tea and also tried the short bread holiday cookies and both were sooo good! I had a few questions about the Tiramisu that wasn't available online but they had it advertised in the drive through and the girl at the counter was super nice explaining that it was a seasonal item and no longer available. Casey helped me try to solve an issue with a gift card and I really appreciated how she handled it! My gift card kept reading "unable to release funds" but not saying that there weren't necessarily any funds. I went in back to back (first to see if there was anything on it and then again to buy something and see if it worked actually being used) and Casey actually gifted the drinks to me and gave me the number for IT! Frustrated with other branch having Chai tea out of stock frequently, I stopped by at this branch and so far they have never been lack of it so I decided that this place will be my go to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Their hot Chai Tea Latte was made in perfection just as I remembered. And, the service is great. Due to long line, it would have been a little bit overwhelming but the barista was very bright and served me well by processing the payment transaction and handing me the drink quickly. I would say though it was quite a journey finding and arriving to their drive-thru line. I love their matcha latte.. but my large drink came with just about 1/4 drink and remaining was ice. the picture below was after the ice had already partially melted but when i received it, the ice was literally 75-80% of the cup. My bad was I didnt notice the ice until I left the drive thru lane and didnt get the chance to come back to get it fixed.. but this is unacceptable. Stopped by in the morning to give coffee bean a chance after avoiding them for a while due to poor experiences. Unfortunately this time was no different. I ordered a honey nut oat milk latte and I got what could only be described as a single shot of espresso with 15oz of water added. No milk no sweetener, just watered down coffee. Because i was heading to work and the drink was served at extremely high temperature I didn't notice until it cooled down enough to drink it. Worst case scenario the baristas don't know how to make lattes, best case scenario I got someone else's drink. Either way I won't be returning. read more

The staff is very unprofessional inconsistent and extremely slow . :/ I come here about 4-6 times out of the week and within the last two months it has been really bad at LEAST three times out of the week that I come, my drinks are made incorrectly and I'm waiting here about 20 minutes for my drink. Or they forget my drink or breakfast items . If I decide to drive-through I'm stuck in the drive-through for about almost 15-20 minutes. It sucks because this is the closest location to my job, . I totally understand short staff due to Covid, making it longer to get the drinks or baked good... at least be consistent when making drinks or pay attention to the drinks you hand out. I have never had to wait over an hour in a drive thru line for coffee, especially on my birthday. I can't say that all of them are bad but certainly some of them are rude. Rude in a way that this person can make you feel awful while you stay here. Stopped by here while waiting for my pups at nearby vet. Pleasant experience! Got a cookie butter latte and jalapeño cheese bagel. Both excellent- I was worried that the latte would be too sweet- it was just right! Down to the last sip in fact - sometimes the sweetness burst comes late or at the bottom and this didn't happen. Kind of a weird combination jalapeño cheese bagel and cookie butter latte but it worked for me. The bagel was crisp and I would definitely get it again. In fact apparently it was the popular food item because three or four people after me also ordered one. It was 9.90 for a large latte and bagel - which is perfectly in line with competitive prices. There is plenty of seating and also Wi-Fi. The outdoor area was very chill and relaxing. They have some very pretty succulents and overhead cover as well as lighting. The service was good the food and drink came out in a reasonable time. This place is conveniently located on Lambert Road & Brea Boulevard. This location has a drive-thru. As I was picking up our drinks, I asked the store associate (a bespectacled woman in her early 20s?) for a cup of water and she said that she'll accommodate me this one time, because the "next time" she will charge me 50 cents! Is there no end to the nickel-and-dime tactics stores like this do to rip off customers? Why don't they charge instead the people who spend hours using the store's AC, occupy their tables displacing paying customers like me, and using the store's electricity FOR FREE to power their laptops and charge their cellphones?? It's either this store associate is particularly rude to customers this evening because of a personal problem, or perhaps one of the pencil pushers in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Corporate HQ really did come up with this idiotic rule!
