These guys are AWESOME. They handled our move from Fremont, CA to Clackamas, OR. Each and every one of the guys were kind, respectful and professional movers! Sean has a wonderful team. Their pricing is excellent. Here in Fremont we had a great time working with them. My family in Oregon was equally impressed. They picked up my furniture on Monday, June 14th, at the agreed upon time of 8am. By 9:30am they had carefully blanket wrapped all my furniture and loaded both my house furnishings and the 10x20 storage facility. I have a lot of furniture and my box count was embarrassingly high. They told me where they were staying for the night and what time they would arrive the next day! My furniture made it to Clackamas by 11am! on June 15th -- 30 minutes ahead of their planned schedule. Moving from a home that you've been in for a very long time can be totally overwhelming. I don't know how we would've done it without Sean and his troops. Good communication, reasonably priced, friendly and courteous crew and totally professional. We thought we had a good start on packing and agreed to a half-pack to take some of the stress off of us. You don't know how much stuff you have until you start packing to move it all. Sean did admit that we had more than the average household but he didn't even flinch when they ran out of the 120 boxes they brought the first day. On moving day they just brought more boxes, finished up the boxing, and loaded it all up. We had a very heavy, early 1900 player piano that my son agreed to take. They loaded it up and made a stop to deliver it in the Sacramento area, before continuing to our new home in the heart of the Sierras. A special shout out goes to Desi. I had stashed a large amount of cash in an envelope in my bedroom dresser and forgot to move it as they were packing. He brought the envelope to me immediately. I was totally relieved when I realized what was inside. He is a very kind honest person and deserves to be recognized. I would have given Sean and his movers 4 stars but when I returned to my rental property this morning to let in the cleaning crew, I found multiple items from yesterday's move left behind. As a professional moving crew, someone should have walked through the property to double check the packing work. 4 kitchen drawers and an outdoor patio rug were missed and they left behind our counter top microwave. The crew was courteous, and very friendly but the attention to detail needs improvement. First off, I am an Air Force brat and have easily moved 25 times in my life. Now that I am an adult, I have both moved myself (horrible, do-able, but awful) and hired movers. There have been a couple moves with movers where you wish you had done it yourself, but this was definitely not one of those times! Ian and the crew showed up on time, took an assessment of the ridiculous amount of stairs we had, took a deep breath and jumped right into work. It was a team of four for our 2bd/2ba apartment and they took the utmost care getting everything down those stairs into our new blessedly single story home. They were also thoughtful about where all of the items were gonna go once we got to the house. Particularly due to a renovation that has been going on for months at our new place. We had to think on our feet a couple times as we had painters scheduled and we were trying to keep an area clear. My husband usually moves himself and was VERY apprehensive about someone else moving our items, particularly down those hellishly awful stairs I mentioned. Overall I had a good experience. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars. I moved from the East Bay to the eastern Sierra. Very long haul, and I appreciate they did it for me. I appreciate that they hauled all the boxes up 1-2 flights of stairs, including a spinet. This was kind of a complicated move because I was moving only part of my stuff. The problem I had was that they packed up more than I wanted to move at this point. There were personal items I wanted to pack myself. By the time they told me they packed it, it was too late to reverse it. I also had to go buy things for the old place because the items I wanted left were packed. Moving from one county to another that is about 2 and a half hours away can be challenging to find the right moving company....I took the time to review a number of moving companies before deciding on The Classic Movers. Sean came to our home and provided an estimate. What I appreciated about The Classic Movers was that the arrival time was before 7am and that there were going to be about 9-10 movers. There were to be no surprise added costs in the end since the quote was set for final price and if paying by cash there is a small discount. On the day of the move bright and early as promised the movers arrived. Friendly, efficient and professional! 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 patios to Total about 1500 sq ft and a fairly large storage room as well were all packed into the moving truck, a pickup truck and one of the movers was nice enough to offer his car as well since everything would not fit in the trucks that were brought. My husband and I also packed both of our SUVs to the max to accommodate the move since the trucks that were brought didn't have enough space for everything. During the week before our move I had already loaded my SUV a few times to move boxes and belongings to the home and thank goodness because we would of had to make another trip ourselves if I hadn't done so. Not all of the moving team drove to our new home to unload the moving trucks and one car since normally takes less time we were informed to unload the trucks. The group that came to the home were awesome! They were upbeat, helpful and moved in and out in a timely manner. We moved from an apartment top 4th floor Home with elevators to a 2 story Home. The day was hot and there was a lot of sweat and hard work involved. We handed out plenty of nice cool water during the day and drumstick ice creams at the end. Only one item was damaged...one of our dressers broke so the guys suggested placing a small book in place on the bottom corner so wouldn't be wobbly and remain steady. The entire moving process was a positive one with the upbeat and friendly team we were able to have with us! read more

Thumbs up! Their communication is very efficient as Sean was very prompt in his responses. He gave me a quick estimate of what was inclusive of the move. During the day of the move, they arrived on time in a huge truck that I am very appreciative of (saves me money from getting a U-Haul). There were 3 movers who helped us move out of our 1 bed/1 bath condo on the 2nd floor to a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. They were systematic with the moving process as they wrapped almost everything and put all the clothes that were hung to big garment boxes. After 2.5 hours, the truck was ready to move to our new place. When they got to our new place, they had the blue roll-up mats and they unloaded everything, hung everything and was very careful about everything. I paid cash. I am very satisfied of their service and they are highly recommended. PS I forgot to mention that we were to move a piano to my neighbor, they charged me extra but not a lot for this. read more

The Classic Movers definitely made our move stress free! The communication from Sean was amazing! I appreciate that he was very quick to reply to my messages and made it easy to schedule an appointment with them. The day of my move, Ian and Ozzy arrived promptly and were friendly, courteous, and worked quickly as a two-man team to move things from our 3rd floor apartment. They were careful with all our boxes, wrapped our larger pieces of equipment with blankets and plastic wrap, and provided a mattress bag for our king size bed. At our new apartment, they unloaded the truck quickly and placed our boxes neatly and organized in our living room, kitchen, etc. They used the blue roll up mats to make sure our new carpet stayed clean. Paperwork was easy and you get a discount paying with cash. I highly recommend this company and will be using them for any move I may have in the future. read more

I've been meaning to write review or Classic Movers. They were great when I used them 2 years ago. They sent 2 people for our move and got it done in 2 HOURS! They protected our sofa with plastic and lay down a protective carpet for the hardwood floors. Communication was top notch and and overall it went smoothly. This past year I called them again for a quote and price went up a little due to inflation (still very reasonable expect their quote was beat by another vendor that doesn't charge the separate rate for a truck). Overall, they are a good option if you're looking for movers. I will certainly keep them on my list of movers to call for a quote if I move again. I used Classic to move the rest of my items as another company moved the 1st half. I spoke with the owner Fabian on the phone and we were able to figure out the size of truck we needed without coming out to my place. I was moving from the east bay to the peninsula and everything was moved nice and smoothly. These guys came right on time and got to work after accessing what the best way to move it was. When they say everything is included with the price they include everything. I used another mover for the 1st half of my move and didn't like their add-ons and long breaks. These guys are legit and do a great job moving all your items. After the move I was missing a electric yard tool and it turns out it was in their equipment box so it was moved safely. I let them know and when they found it they came by and dropped it at my door the next day. Great service and they try to work around your schedule. Would definitely recommend these guys. read more

We had the worst experience ever !!!! and hiring classic movers was the biggest mistake of our life. I still have 30 boxes to unpack but I thought its necessary for everyone to know the quality of service they offer. I want to make sure what happened to my family doesn't happen to other families . Hopefully after reading this review you will think 100 times before hiring these buffoons. We had made booking with classic movers for 24th Oct 9am. Classic movers promptly showed up at 9:15am, so far so good. One of the guys hired by classic movers seemed to be on drugs and had a belligerent attitude. The first thing he said after entering our apartment is that "classic movers does't move stuff thats not in box" so he refused to take our vacuum cleaners, iron table, big dustbins and tonne of other stuff. We had some of the stuff lying around and we were told classic movers isn't going to provide any boxes. On top of this he was throwing our stuff on the ground deliberately. When we told not him not to do so he said "this stuff is shitty and not expensive so I am going to throw it". Also, it seemed like this guy was on a different schedule, he refused to take certain boxes saying " he had to be somewhere so he cannot take more boxes". He also took nice little cigarette breaks, it helps when you are high!! When confronted he was rude and abusive. Obviously, after all this we called the owner Sean and told him we cannot allow this person to take our stuff and he could also be a potential security threat to me and my family. Sean spoke to the psycho and asked the other 2 guys to drop this dude back to their Fremont office and then from here on only 2 guys will help to move in. This whole process took 1:30 hrs so during this time we were just sitting and waiting. The clock was stopped so weren't charged for this duration. From there on the process went ok, I have no complaints with other 2 guys. But the reason we hired 3 people (and also paid for 3 people from 9:15am to 12pm) was so we can finish the moving in by 3pm. Since there were only 2 people, it took them a good 5 hours to finish all the unpacking and we got free by 6:30pm. We still had a tonne of stuff remaining to move so we hired another movers who picked all our leftover stuff the next day. Ultimately, classic movers not only ruined our day but also the experience and excitement of moving to our new condo. We ended up paying around $1000 and still had to hire another set of movers. It seems they hire people off the street and don't even do their background checks. If you are looking for professionals to move your stuff, I suggest to find another movers. I was also deceived by all the ratings provided here but turns out you can't even trust these ratings anymore. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. We moved from a 3/2 1200 sf house in San Mateo to a 4/3 2600 sf house in Rocklin. The movers showed up with 6 guys and loaded the truck in 90 minutes (we did have most of the house packed and in the garage). On the other end of the 2 hour trip, where it was 20 degrees warmer, the 3 guys that made the trip were very efficient in unpacking as well. We were done with this long distance move by 2 pm. All of the guys were friendly and professional, and even waved at my 1 year old as they passed him 400 times. Nothing was broken or scratched, including, perhaps most importantly, my new paint in my new house. We used Classic Movers to move from a 3 bedroom 2 bath including the garage and shed. They gave us a fixed price quote and brought a 5 man crew and a 28 foot truck on move day. These guys were awesome. They wrapped all of the big and expensive pieces, took the TV's down, and boxed the items that I haven't gotten a chance to box. We have unpacked most of the boxes and have not found even 1 broken item. The crew was very friendly, respectful, fast, careful and fast.
