Cannot recommend Mark and the MAV team more. We recently moved across country and I was worried about the cost. I received a lot of quotes- Mark's was shockingly reasonable. After he came to the house to see how much stuff we were moving, we talked through the logistics. Our new home wouldn't be ready for a couple of months, so we needed to be moved out of our current home and into storage units, then have our stuff picked up and driven to GA when we were ready to move in. Mark was super supportive of all of it, and his pricing was SO MUCH BETTER than everyone else's. His pricing is very transparent, which is important when you're comparing moving quotes. He even dropped off some wardrobe boxes for me to use in advance while I was getting everything packed up. Mark is a great communicator, prompt, available- his team worked quickly and wrapped and transported everything without a problem. He even beat his delivery estimate and arrived earlier than expected after a cross-country move. They were used for moving a heavy glass 78" high curio cabinet back into place that only had an inch clearance on either side and had to be tilted to move from one room to another. Absolutely incredible service by Mark and his team. We moved out of an apartment into a house, and they expertly completely the task with no issues. All our stuff were well taken care of and everything we asked for made it to its destination with no damage. The apartment was on the 3rd floor so having to deal with an elevator can eat up a lot of time but I was very impressed how quickly and efficiently they got stuff into the truck. I was so stressed out about our move from WA back to CA. I found MAV movers through this facebook group and contacted the owner, Kuya Mark, a month before our move. He was very easy to talk to. He asked for our home photos via text to provide me with price quote. After sending photos, he gave me a reasonable price. He didn't ask for any deposit to book with him which surprised me and made me a bit uneasy. 2 weeks prior to our move, I texted him again just to make sure they're actually coming and he sent me a photo of his calendar with my name on it. Before our move, I was also concerned that we weren't gonna have our place ready on time so I texted Kuya Mark again to ask how long can they keep our stuff in the storage and he said a week. Thankfully, our application got approved right before our move. Communication was so easy. He updated me via text when they were on their way to Seattle. Him and Gerson came around 5pm and started packing our stuff. We finished our whole house around 11pm. They started driving to CA and updated me along the way. We got our stuff on our scheduled date. Easily the best decision my husband and I made was hiring Mark and his team for our move this past weekend. They were on time, worked quickly but were gentle with our belonging & kind/patient as we also had our young kiddos around during the move. We did box up quite a bit of our stuff on our own, but we had plenty of miscellaneous items that were left out - as we weren't sure if we should box those items or not. I just used two moving companies in less than 6 weeks. I paid for both of them to pack and move my stuff. I'm a nurse so I'll give you a select all that apply question. One left a hall closet full of fans, vacuums, and other items which ended up costing an extra 45 minutes at $175 rate as well as the cabinet above the fridge which I had to go back to the next day and nearly bust ass getting up there to grab my stuff. One also broke a picture. Once also threw everything into a box and didn't close the lid so hair goop got all over my stuff. One also had the third guy just who walked from the truck inside the house at least 3 times I counted carrying nothing in his hand while the other mover only had 2 movers unloading. One also had a guy who was trying to leave my daybed assembled all wobbly and argue with me about it. Hmmm which was MAV? All of the above. The other one moved my stuff from Orange County to San Jose without so much as a broken glass and spent an hour less time physically packing and unpacking with one less guy at the unload and reassemble. Too bad those guys don't work up here. If a guy named Gilbert shows up to your job, ask for someone else. Trust me.
