A friend referred me to Mark and his team and I'm very grateful he did. Seamless throughout. I will never go back to asking friends and my 60 something yr old parents to help us move. Honestly, moving is already such a headache so to have Mark's team handling the lifting, boxing of clothes and some misc things, properly protecting furniture, etc was such a blessing. First time using professional movers, and Mark and his team more than delivered. After just a couple hours, my wife and I were standing in our new place with everything off loaded and in place. You can't put a price on that. read more

I hired Mark and his crew to help relocate me from the SF Bay Area to NV. They did an exceptionally great job! Very responsive to all my questions, via text or phone call. They were all prompt and professional with all my personal belongings, and they move quick! I move in July, and as we all know, that is not the ideal time for moving in the desert. But they persevered and hustled, even in 100+F weather. I would highly recommend MAV moving to anyone! And I would definitely hire them again if I had to. They are all hard workers and I always enjoy helping out local businesses as these. Thank you Mark and guys! read more

I needed to move a piano down the road to another house. Mark was super helpful, asked all the pertinent questions and provided clear instructions to prepare the two houses for pickup and delivery of the piano. Mark and his team were able to come the same afternoon. When the movers arrived, they put down ample protection on the floor to prevent scratches and worked quickly and efficiently. With all of their various ramps and dollies they made the job look super easy, even though we know it would have been much more difficult if we tried to do it ourselves. And the pricing was great, no need to continue calling around for quotes. A+++ would call MAV Moving anytime for our moving needs read more

My partner & I decided to move apartments last minute during the holidays. MAV Moving was referred to us by our close friend who recently moved himself. Mark was quick to respond and was very flexible with scheduling given the quick turnaround time. Mark & I were in constant communication up until our move-date- which I very much appreciated! Day-of the move, the team arrived right on time and needed minimal supervision. They were all very professional, and took great care of our belongings. I am not exaggerating when I say how quick & stress-free the entire process was. Will definitely refer MAV Moving to friends & family, and utilize their services again for other future moves. Mark and his team were absolutely fantastic. The communication was amazing. They were right on time, actually got here a little early to see what they had to work with. They were so fast it was amazing. They handled all my furniture with care, wrapped it and even disassembled and assembled in my new apartment. For how hard working they were, and the care and special instructions they followed, the value was all worth it. Everything was just perfect. YOU HAVE TO USE THEIR SERVICES! Good quality people. None of the guys had a bad spirit. And the best part was, they handled my stuff carefully & quickly. I sifted through a lot of moving companies before choosing MAV moving. Most other moving companies have hidden fees, extra truck fees, gas mileage, etc. etc.. But the MAV owner Mark is fair and true to his word. A down to earth guy. I enjoyed doing business with them. I highly recommend them. read more

Recently used MAV Moving to move from San Jose to San Diego. Mark and his team were awesome! They moved all of my items quickly and carefully, and they were flexible with my moving dates. They cleared out my SJ apartment in less than an hour! One of the things I really appreciated and that stood out to me was Mark's communication. He would email and message me to keep me in the loop and check in to make sure that things were on track with my move. He was a genuinely nice guy, and he and his team worked well together. I did a last-minute move request through Yelp and got a very fast response from MAV. Mark, the owner, was kind enough to accommodate the quick turnaround and was able to sched my preferred day/time. The movers showed up as scheduled and was very quick with the prep and transfer of my 1-bedroom stuff. The guys helped put together my Thuma bed (note, it's not easy to do on your own) in under 5 minutes, which was 10x faster when I did it the first time! I've bookmarked MAV for future moves and will definitely recommend them to friends and family. read more

Great service. On time, under 3 hours for a 1 bedroom, delivered everything safely. I'll use them again on my next move for sure.

I had to move from downtown SJ to North SJ and this was my first time using movers. MAV was one of the few places that had great prices in my budget so of course I had to go with them. Luckily they were also available on the first of the month, which I would assume is a busy day for movers. They came on time and quickly loaded up my boxes, even on a third floor apartment. They also were able to give me a ride to my new house because I don't have a car. Overall, I would highly recommend Mark and his team and if I need movers again, I would definitely use them. Mark is also a funny guy and told me how his business came to be, which was inspiring. Thank you MAV movers! read more

These guys were responsive, on-time, and very quick. They are also very affordable. We came across this business on Yelp and was impressed with all the five star reviews, so we moved forward with scheduling them for our move. We only requested that they move our furniture. Upon arrival, they seemed confident and quick. We proposed removing the drawers from the dressers and beds, as that's the method we've done previous moves in- haven't emptied out the drawers, pulled them completely, stacked up, and just re-inserted them at destination. However, MAV's team said it won't be necessary and that they'll move everything as is with the drawers in. We informed them that none of them have been emptied and they assured us that it was okay and they know what they're doing. Within minutes they picked everything up, flipped them on sides and we heard everything start to move. Once again, I expressed concern and they repeated that it was fine. The disassembled our beds. They moved really quick and we reached the next home, feeling impressed at their speed. Once everything was reassembled and in place, we noticed scratches and chunk of wood pieces missing from our side table and one bed. Another bed was assembled incorrectly with wrong sides facing wrong direction. We'll have to disassemble and and reassemble that one. The third bed, they broke the side drawers, so they will not close or stay closed now and the headboard is now loose. Our dresser, one entire side also broken and 2 of the 3 drawers not closing or staying put. We've reached out to the business directly via phone/vm and email and no response. I strongly believe these reviews may be fake, they may have requested family and friends to write them or perhaps they're creating fake accounts and writing 5 star reviews. This has been extremely disappointing read more

Mark The Mover was referred to me by a colleague, and he did not disappoint! Him and his crew were very professional, constantly engaging with me on what I wanted, everyone spoke English, and they took great care of all of my items. Not one thing was damaged! I would definitely recommend them, and will be using them again in the future. read more

Mark and his team were on time for the move and did a great job moving our 1 Bedroom apartment from the 3rd Floor without an elevator. They are not like your typical movers that dump all the items at your new place; they go above and beyond taking extra care of your items & set up the necessary things at your new home. E.g., they set up our couch, bed & chest in the right place. We could crash in for the night after a long day of packing & could decide to unpack the boxes the next day. Mark & his team have been in this business for greater than 17 years & which he demonstrated with our move. Thanks a ton! read more

Far exceeded my expectations. Not only was MAV Moving the first to respond to my request for a quote through Yelp, they had the most straight forward pricing structure and one of the most reasonable. No hidden fees, no extra fees for this and that. Mark always responded within minutes to any email or text I sent. They were picking up furniture from a family member and the driver called to let my cousin know when they were 15 minutes away. The team was punctual, friendly, professional, took care to get everything moved quickly and carefully. They even disassembled a dining table that I didn't realize was going to require being taken apart. They called me when they were 20 minutes away to deliver the furniture. Put blankets down to protect the floors, got everything moved in where I wanted it, reassembled the table with ease, and were done with the job in less time than expected. I highly recommend using MAV Movers! read more
