EXCELLENT SERVICE. 10/10 job well done. I recently hired MAV to move from San Jose to Oakland. They were respectful, careful, responsible, and EFFICIENT. All of my items made it in perfect condition. I even recommended them to my girlfriend who hired them shortly after me. Thank you, MAV Moving! read more

I received over 20 different estimates for our move across country from the SF Bay Area to east coast. Estimates ranged from 9k up to a ridiculous 45k; from Mom & Pop to the typical Global Industrial moving company...almost all of them serving the Bay Area on yelp and google search. MAV moving was one of them. They were not the cheapest, but one of the most affordable. That wasn't the reason we picked MAV. I called the references Mark provided and all came back positive. That wasn't the reason either. Mark said they would load the truck that was going across country, door to door. No unloading/loading to a different truck before the journey or a consolidation with another customers...not the reason we picked them. After speaking with Mark, having him answer our questions, both professionally and personally...THAT was the reason. Mark is a good person and had a good vibe. I had a gut feeling this was the company/person and it couldn't be more true. Once the move started Mark would send text messages and photos keeping us up to date on where they were during the drive, provide info on the weather and other updates. Mark sent pics, assured us he was on time for delivery. When they arrived and unloaded, nothing was broken, they set up the furniture, placed boxes in each room they were labeled for, Mark provided wardrobe boxes which really helped, and they took the empty boxes with them when they left. MAV Moving is our go to and recommendation to family and friends from now on. If you pick MAV, you can rest assured you are going to be taken care of from start to finish. Thanks again Mark, good luck, and drive safe. read more

very satisfied with working MAV moving. Quick and respectively moved my home earlier than promised time. Definitely recommend

MAV Moving is the most impressive movers I have ever used. They are very efficient, friendly and know what they are doing. They finished my job in record time and made my day a lot less stressful. Also, recommended them to my former apartment buildings management! read more

Mark and his team are fantastic. By far, they were the best movers I've ever hired across many moves in the past 10 years. I hired them to move me from San Francisco to Dallas last week. Mark was quick to respond, and his price was the lowest and simplest (no deposit, etc). Quite honestly, I was a little worried at first, only because he has 100% 5-five star reviews on Yelp (which is rare) and he required no deposit. But I went with my gut and hired them. They were on-time (early, actually) and very quick to move me out of my 2-bedroom apt in SF. His guys were incredibly polite and respectful; no complaining, which I've ever experienced with some other moving companies. He and one other guy drove my things to Dallas in 48 hours and moved me in to a second-floor apt (no elevator) in 105 degree heat in less than 5 hrs. I would recommend this company to anyone; seriously, do not hesitate to hire them for any type of move. They're honest, fair, trustworthy, great at what they do, and just overall nice guys. read more

Just finished the move this morning. Went from the SF Peninsula to Reno. Mark, the owner, takes care of the customer directly. He's prompt, courteous, and collaborative. His team took great care with my belongings - no breakage or scratching of items, walls, floors. They wasted no time but always slowed down to ask me questions and to treat my items with care. When we unloaded, Mark helped me to get two of my TVs mounted! Most of all, Mark's service is a great value - I'd recommend him for a house move, and I would use him again! read more

The MAV moving crew saved the day, as I ordered an oversized couch and the contract service company that CB2 uses (and I paid for) left it in the garage when they discovered it was too long to go up through the inside stairs of my townhouse. I put out a request on Yelp and MAV responded immediately, saying that they would send 2 guys and a truck over to hoist the couch over the second story front balcony and guaranteed that if they could not do it there would be no charge. They showed up on time, were super polite, and took great care with the furniture piece. After giving it their very best efforts, they concluded that they would need another person since the couch was so heavy. The next day, they showed up on time as promised with Mark (the owner of MAV). I was amazed at the technique they used to get the couch up onto the roof of the truck and over the railing of the balcony. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat for any move, large or small. Many companies wanted to charge 3x as per hour or have a minimum of 3 hours. Super nice, have great communication and will do what they commit to do when you need it done at a very fair price. Highly recommended! read more

I was SO IMPRESSED with Marc Valdez the owner of MAV Moving and his entire crew!! They moved all the contents of my three bedroom house in record time. They were very careful with all of my things and absolutely nothing was damaged during the move. I have nothing but high praise for this company. I even recommended MAV Moving to the people who bought my house and they used them. They thanked me for telling them about MAV Moving and they told me they were "ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC". I HIGHLY recommend this moving company!!!!!!!!! read more

We made a cross country move and I am so glad I found Mark & his crew. Mark was responsive during booking, clean, fast, efficient & friendly. He made my 1300 sq ft house fit perfectly in his van. Mark text me when he started his journey in Calif and throughout the drive to Georgia. His rates were fairly quoted. Whether you need a local move or a long distance move, do not hesitate to call Mark. read more

Mark is simply amazing. I have been a realtor for 28 years and I have never seen a mover team, so skilled and so professional. Mark's team was able to help me at the last minute to move a 600 pound organ of a second floor, plus an upright piano, which he delivered to the person getting the piano, to rescuing a client who needed mover help on the same day I called him. I can wholeheartedly say this is the man you need when you're moving. Reliable, cop, professional, and competitively priced. read more

I hired MAV Moving on a hunch. I had put out a request for quote and was overwhelmed with responses. MAV movers was the first to reply, and was very clear with pricing and description of services. It almost seemed too easy. They moved my son to LA from Santa Clara and a number of large items to Hollister. They arrived with two trucks on the same day and completed the moves exactly as they said they would - quickly, efficiently, and on-time. I would absolutely hire them again and feel lucky to have found them here on YELP. read more

Mark and his wonderful team came to the rescue during a week of terrible storms and road closures to move my 95 year old mom. I was worried about what could go wrong but Mark's team was amazing. Not only did they show up early (and I was late - so sorry) but they were incredibly efficient, professional and were so careful with my mother's belongings. They wrapped her furniture so nicely, made sure all boxes were secure and odds and ends were carefully dealt with. They braved the weather beaten highway 17 to move my mom to my house "over the hill" and carefully maneuvered their large truck down my winding narrow street (impressive!). They didn't blink an eye about taking boxes around to the basement as well as into the house and helping us to place the furniture where it worked for mom. I can't say thank you enough to this great team! All my stress just disappeared! Last but not least, Mark was so responsive throughout from a very fast and reasonable quote to following up after to make sure we were happy customers. Highly recommend Mav Movers!! read more

Mark was very responsive and was able to schedule me in for my preferred date and time. The quote given for the move was the best compared to the other movers in the area. He even provided a 3rd guy for free when we only needed 2 guys, since they had to work a job in the morning. His team was very fast and efficient. They wrapped all the necessary furniture and disassembled/reassembled everything seamlessly. At the new apartment, they put everything in the designated areas I told them to. I will definitely call up MAV moving for any future moves, and will be recommending them to all my friends. read more

We moved from south bay to livermore. MAV moving was very responsive in providing quote. They quoted reasonable prices compared to other movers in the area. They brought their own 24 ft truck. Entire moving process was seamless. They were right on time in fact a bit early to assess the move. They handled all the items with care, wrapped them right. At the destination, they asked and placed each item in the respective rooms. I would recommend MAV moving for your upcoming moves, they are strictly professional end-end. read more
