amazing 10/10 experience! they started at 9 am and we wrapped up everything at the new house around 4:45! they filled up their truck and it was 2 guys, everything was wrapped up so well, they were super nice and caring. recommend these guys to anyone moving in the bay also bonus- it was unfortunately raining today but everything was still done so well and quickly! read more

This was my first time using movers. And it was a very nice experience. I estimated that they would get the job down to move a studio apartment in 4-5 hours. However, they did it within 2.5 hours. They also offer one of the best deals in the area. I compared a lot of other businesses and Great Wall offered the best price. I will say there is a slight language barrier, but it doe not interfere with them doing their job. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is looking for movers. read more

Great Wall Moving - Movers Near Me - Fremont, California

This review is for the set up process for moving. We ended up going with a different moving company, just because we had put a deposit down. I really wanted to go with Great Wall, but my husband ended up wanting to go with a different moving company. Lily and John were incredibly responsive and helpful. They were transparent about the whole process and their rates were incredibly reasonable. I'm actually bummed that we didn't end up going with them, but definitely would consider them in the future. That said, I hope I don't have to move again. :-) read more

Great Wall moving offers the most competitive price in the Bay Area. We used their services for packing and moving. The best part of packing is that they have large boxes that they can take back so you don't have to end up with a lot of boxes at home. Of course, this means keeping's things decently organized so you can put them away as soon as things are moved. They did a great job with the wardrobe transfer as well. All items were carried in the hangers and set up properly. We had a fully functional house at the end of the day and big thanks to Great Wall movers! The only drawback, if I have to call it out, is that all items will be put on top of each other in one gigantic box. So if things leak, that's kind of expected. So making sure that you have organized your items before asking them to pack it. Overall, highly recommend their services. The movers were very efficient and friendly, working tirelessly until the move was complete. Thank you so much for your services! read more

Excellent service and very strong movers! I regularly use moving companies for my work in construction and I have also moved quite a few times in the past few years. This by far the best service and were recommended by a friend. The team arrived exactly on time. They were professional and polite. The movers were also very fast and I was surprised they were able to complete my move in 5 hours. I moved from a 2 bedroom and they pack up, drove 45 minutes to the destination and unpacked in 5 hours! It was a 3 man crew. I also had an extremely heavy marble table that they were able to move without any damage. In fact, none of my items were damaged (unlike my last move). I will definitely use Great Wall moving again and recommend them to my friends and clients. read more

Definitely the best bang for your buck in the Bay Area. I got a quote right away when I submitted a request. They were very responsive and upfront about the cost which is 2 persons per hour is $X, more person will cost more, $65 travel/truck fee, and $10/person/hour tip. We go two persons who were able to assemble and disassemble our refrigerator, laundry machines, and more. They also packed everything carefully to ensure no scratches scuffs. For 4 hours for two persons (our house was only a few min away from each other), including tip, we paid about $565. Plus side is they were efficient and worked hard - no time was wasted in between so I didn't feel like they were trying to stall time. They tried their best to avoid making scratches/damages. No big damages at all. However, since our new home is two story, the method of carrying large items like washer/dryer needs to be improved. They currently use dolly/cart, no straps, so the wheels would mess up the carpet each time the dolly would go up a stair. We had some minor marks on the carpet, the machine was so heavy it lifted part of the carpet. Nothing major since we did pay for the lowest price we could find. We appreciated the workers' hard work and effort. Better methodology carrying heavy/large items upstairs would be helpful. read more

Great Wall Moving was great! These folks arrived on-time, worked hard, took great care of our property, and even continued working when our apartment building lost power and they temporarily got stuck in the elevator and had to walk our bed down from the third floor. We would gladly call on them again. Incredible value for the cost. read more

Professional, courteous, efficient, and took great care of my furniture! Highly recommend!

My new mattress arrived. How times have changed! It arrived compressed in a box that weighed over 100 pounds. I couldn't even lift it off the floor. I contacted Great Wall Moving, who were super quick to reply, give me a quote, and would show up that evening! Two gentlemen showed up. They muscled that box up 2 flights of stairs without any problems. Not only that, they cut open the box, removed the plastic packaging, and placed it on the frame for me. I was very happy with the service and wish Id thought of using a professional mover sooner, so I could have been sleeping on my new bed much earlier. Me and my friends aren't so young anymore, still in great shape, but it sure was nice not to bust our backs on that box. read more

We had hired then and things started off great! Moving quickly and getting things done. Once the 3rd hour hit, they slowed down tremendously and milked the clock for another 2 hours bringing things up one at a time. Ended up paying $200 more than what I was quoted. read more

Do NOT use Zelle or Venmo as a payment method. They damaged monitor screen and left things unpacked behind. You won't get purchase protection unless you use credit card for payment. Do not try to save that dime. It's not worth it. Their movers were hard working and fast. However, the damages caused by their negligence were more than their moving cost. I tipped over 20%. read more

We needed to book their moving service with a 24 hour notice, and they were able to accommodate. They quoted a very competitive price for their service and did not have a surcharge due to the short notice. The day of the move the crew showed up promptly. They brought all the necessary tools and new blankets, wrapped everything professionally, and carefully loaded the items onto the truck. They then drove to the new property, carefully unloaded the items, and brought them to the respective room. We were extremely satisfied with their service, highly recommend them, and we would use them again. read more

They gave the best quote of any moving company in the bay. Charges hourly for two movers with 2 hour minimum and fee for the truck. My friend was moving from San Jose to Fremont and they got all the big furniture and heavy items moved in a quick and efficient manner. They were able to disassemble and assemble. They made sure the furniture was covered and protected, as well as the doors and walls. Something I didn't even think about that they were able to solve quickly was the couch being too big to fit through the door. We originally bought the couch from ikea so the boxes were easy to get through the door but during the move it was only disassembled to two pieces and one of the piece couldn't fit through the doorway of the new place. Thankfully they were quick problem solvers and used the patio entrance to get it inside. Very honest people and they even came earlier than expected. Made moving pain and hassle free. Worth every penny. Would use their service again for any future moves. read more

This moving company is awesome! They were on time. We're well prepared with all necessary tools and supplies. They were very careful. They even put moving blankets around main doors to ensure no knicks or gouges. The rolled runners in walkways. I mean the guys were super efficient with their time. Lily at the office was in constant communication with not just her crew but with us. They are truly a five star business. Jason & Tammy read more

Highly recommend Great Wall Moving for all your moving needs. My mother needed to replace a washer and dryer upstairs. Since I am not local, I was unable to help her physically. Once I put a request into Yelp, Lily was the 1st to respond with a straight no bs flat rate. Everyone else kept trying to add extra charges and fees. Lily was very patient with my requests and was able to send someone out the very next day. My mother stated that the men who showed up were very clean and professional. They moved the old appliances downstairs and moved the new appliances up with no scratches, no mess, and very little noise. She was very impressed and will start recommending them to everyone from here forward. read more

Great Wall Moving - Red Carpet to protect the stairs - Movers Near Me - Fremont, California

Very fast, affordable and professional. This company I will highly recommend for anyone who's in need of some help moving. Their hourly rates and truck fee kept my pockets fat. Please don't go with company's charging a flat fee because that's just highway robbery. read more

The 3 moving guys are very professional and efficient. They protected both our furnitures and the house floor / stairs / everything well. Great job! Price reasonable My original movers flaked us at last minute for their reasons but we requested to take a day off for work that day and we were very frustrated and we asked Great Wall Moving if they're available at that moment or not. Pretty decent moving experience for the price. Easy and simple to book. They showed up on time. Definitely took longer than expected though. Also heard the guys complaining as they worked and one of them disappeared for awhile to take a phone call. read more

This is our third time using this moving company, and they've been great every single time. Prices are super super fair, the crew showed up right on time, and the customer service was awesome. Great experience moving a 3 bedroom house. Super straightforward, professional and efficient. Transparent and reasonable pricing. We had to reschedule our move 3 times and the team was able to be flexible and accommodate us anyways. Would use Great Wall Moving again without hesitation! read more

I've moved a lot and this was one of the more pleasant and smooth moving experiences I've had. They arrived on time (8am slot) and worked quickly. They did have a hard time finding the house (they passed the house) but I texted them and they showed up shortly after. I think the one thing I think they can improve on is that they could have used a roll out carpet to protect the floors. I paid with Venmo but they have other payment options as well. Moving is not an easy process! Always stressful but this experience was pretty nice. read more

Very efficient service. Good price for 2 hour rate. No complaints. They were careful with our belongings

This is the absolute best moving company in the Bay Area. Honest, straight forward, no nonsense , the best attitudes and most efficient hardest working men I have ever seen all for a very fair price. I have tried two other local moving companies that were nightmares recently. Great Wall moving is the best by far and couldn't more highly recommend. So thankful for them. If you need movers look No further. I wasn't even asked or encouraged to leave a review but I'm So thankful I want to promote them as much as possible. read more

I couldn't recommend this company more! Moved to Arizona for work and they gave me a quote that was less than half of any of the other moving companies, which made all of my colleagues and new boss super skeptical and sure I was going to get scammed. Nothing could be further from the truth! They were flexible with dates and even with method of payment (as we moved around some religious holidays). First, they came to our apt to offer a guaranteed quote. We locked in the date of the move and they showed up right on time with two guys. We ended up having a ton of small boxes, so they called another guy to help with loading--no extra charge--and they were done in about 3-4 hours. They then drove the 13 hours from the bay to Tucson, AZ and gave us a few extra hours so we could rest during our own drive to meet them there. They showed up perfectly on time and started unloading, were done in a flash. None of our stuff, even fragile glass, was damaged. Nothing scratches, nothing missing. In a word, they were EXCELLENT! I've seen people here complaining about them asking for tips, but they didn't with us. We still tipped them, and they were super thankful. If you are looking for reliability, go with them. If you are looking for honesty and care for your belongings, go with them! If you're looking for affordability...go with them! read more
