I was very happy with their service from start to finish and would love to work with them again. I got quotes from about 10 different movers but decided on SVP because they had competitive, transparent pricing and Arthur stood out as a point of contact - he always picked up the phone right away when I called and remembered who I was. He even drove up from San Jose to Emeryville to give us a free consultation and brought us some packing supplies to get started, which we really appreciated. Ultimately we worked with Arthur + his foreman Rowan to pack and move our two-bedroom home in one day. They did great work! Everyone was friendly and easy to communicate with. Even when there was a hiccup and HOA regulations required use of a smaller truck, Arthur saved the day by driving over in a backup truck to save us time. When it came time to unload our team continued their great work. They reassembled all of our furniture and even helped me put together a new bed frame. We used SV Pro movers to move a 4-bedroom house 300 miles across California just last week. We could not be more satisfied with the service, team, value-for-money, and treatment of our many art pieces, antique furniture, and all the household goods. We had No breakage at all. The team of 6 were able to pack the entire house in 10 hours one day, arrive 300 miles north just 90 minutes behind my wife and I on the same day, and unpack the trucks, unpack the boxes and put ~80% of all the things away (with a little of our help), and take away all of the garbage (boxes and packing materials). The stuff they did not put away we requested they leave in boxes so she could sort them ourselves. The team has great humor, are excellent communicators, take only measured and needed breaks, and continuously ask "what else can I do for you". I met them by chance at the new home we purchased (moving the belongings of the prior owner) and included them in the providers which bid on my job. One of the guys came to the house for inspection to make the quote and they were flexible to schedule our move on the date we desired. I highly recommend this service. We enjoyed working with Tim, Jake, Jabar, El, Arthur, and a long gentlemen whose name I cannot recall (Nick?) who spent most of the time receiving our packed items into the trucks and thoughtfully stacking and securing them. Requested a few couches, bed stands, dressers, tvs and etc be moved from San Jose to Sacramento and were quoted roughly $650. Although we ended up paying more than the request, due to additional hours attributed to traffic, the two men that unloaded the car were communicative, nice and quick. The main POC Arthur, is informative and very direct, which I admired, but be cautious as he really holds firm on the quality and price of the services his team delivers. Initially I wasn't going to go with them due to a lower estimate elsewhere and his occasional tone that shouldn't be spoke to potential customers, but I did like his vibe and I did appreciate his ability to respond quickly. I'd definitely use them for services but would definitely negotiate the departure and arrival times to avoid paying for 2 additional hours of travel. It's not fun for us and definitely, not for the drivers that just sit in traffic. read more

Arthur and his crew Rowan and AD did an excellent job with my move. Got a message from Arthur a day before the move confirming the time. The day of the move they were a little early which was fine. Better than being late. Right when they got to my place they started working. No slacking around just moving stuff. We had a lot to move for a 2 bedroom condo. While one was wrapping up the furniture or breaking down the beds the crew kept hauling and moving stuff to their truck. It took a good three hours to empty out the condo and an hour to drive to the new place. Right when they got to my new place they started unloading furnitures. Like i said they don't stop working. They put the red protector on the floor like i requested. When they were finished they made sure everything was in its place where we want it. Arthur doubled check the rooms and the living room. The day of the move, Arthur and the team reiterated their pricing structure with us. It was clear, consistent, and transparent.
