Upon my return, the bartender finally acknowledged my existence and said, "Sorry, I guess I left you hanging". I then ordered a beer, which he poured right away. While I had his attention I ordered my meal. After all, I had plenty of time to look at the menu. Then the 2nd round of invisibility started. I finished my beer and was ready for another. I waited. And I waited. And I waited some more. About an additional 15 minutes. I finally caught the attention of the other bartender and ordered a 2nd beer that was never brought to me. Finally, the first guy came back, so I ordered it from him. As he was bringing it to me, I heard him tell one of the young servers, "Make sure it's medium rare". Wait, what?! That's my burger order! You're just now putting it in? WTF? Invisible indeed! Another 15 minutes went by before my burger and "frings" (fries and onion rings) arrived. I realize that the guy was keeping busy with the walk-up customers, but I was right there! Sitting right in front of him! I finished half of the burger and had a lot of rings and fries leftover and needed a to-go box. Good gawd! More waiting ensued. I finally caught a young woman as she was leaving the kitchen area and asked her for a box which she grabbed for me. Trying to get the bartender's attention for the check ended up being yet another exercise in futility. At least the burger was good (really good in fact), the fries too, the only redeeming quality of my visit. The onion rings? Meh. Straight from a bag of frozen.

I wanted him to call the bar before disputing the charge with the credit card. I figured management would want to know their bartender added a $33-plus tip to his bill (on top of the cash tip he left) and have the ability to issue a credit and make it right. They said they'd locate the receipt and get back to him. He called again, maybe 5 days later, and they basically said the same thing. It's been another five days. He still hasn't heard from them. I recommend avoiding this establishment. Or at least don't use a card if you do go. Pay cash so you can't be massively overcharged. So disappointed in management for not even calling us back.

Luis Rey's doesn't open until 4:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The NFL kicks off at 10:00 AM on Sundays. Luis Rey's doesn't kick off until 1:00 PM. Sunday Night Football? You might miss the end of the game as Luis Rey's closes at 9:00 PM. They close at 9:00 on Thursdays also, so the end of the Thursday Night Football game is in jeopardy also. Monday Night Football? Forget it. Luis Rey's is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We never actually went to Luis Rey's. We stayed one night at Pala on a Saturday; we were attending a wedding nearby. We had to get to the venue about the time Luis Rey's opened, and we didn't return until after they closed. Looked like a decent bar. If only they were open when sports are being televised.

I don't have the receipt to show you because when I complained they took it. Ex. My bill was 42.?? Suggested tip was 20 % 7.?? They gave me my bill and it was 49.?? Plus a place for tip. I already gave a 10.00 cash tip to the waitress prior to getting my bill because she was leaving shift. Plus my burger was cold but that's another story.
