Dined at Bar Meets Grill Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26. Once again, a perfect evening. Food items -- Friday was BMG Salad, always light and perfect, followed by the NY Strip which has replaced the ribeye or tied the ribeye for the best "meat dish" there. Chef brought it out, always helpful with (a) suggestions, both Chef Mark and Chef Carlos; and (b) Chef Mark with pictures of his daughter -- a highlight of coming. Back to food, Snake River Farms, the best, but the quality of the steak, and it was and always is served at medium rare for me and grilled to perfection. I would say for months best cuts of all items, best preparation, served with vegetables and mashed though I get a baked potato side. Cabernet by the glass excellent. I mean it does not get better. Until Saturday. Dinner was the French Onion Soup done the right way, perfect, followed by double cut lamb chops which are a favorite of mine anywhere to have. I can't keep saying they were perfect. OK, yes I can, they were perfectly prepared, incredible taste, good lemon accent and sides. Not a fish eater, and never will be. With the pork chop, short rib and other options, add in the steak, ribeye and lamb chops, I gladly give up. The cuts are fresh and perfect, and they could not be better prepared. Always consistent, not easy to see, and they are always top level here. Still, the people at BMG are the highlight. Always gracious, upbeat, helpful - adding "friendly" to great food which you don't often get in combination these days, but you do here. The chefs and their team, servers and assistants, host and hostest, bar team, you will not find better people to spend an evening with. read more

We love this restaurant. The service is always spot on and the food does not disappoint. For dinner tonight we tried the stuffed portobello mushrooms, crab cakes, calamari and Cesar salad: the stars of the show were the portobellos and calamari. Absolutely delicious. The calamari was super light and crispy and the pork sausage in the stuffed portobellos was awesome. We will be back! read more

Visited yesterday and I can say everything is so detailed. It reminded me of Hell's Kitchen! You can tell staff was specially trained. I believe our waiter was Reed. He gave us suggestions and never made us feel rushed. He was extra nice with our special needs daughter which is always heart warming. I told him my daughter's loaded baked potato was the best one we've ever had. Amazing what can be done to a potato to make it so fancy and delicious. We still have food left over for today's lunch and can't wait for my King Salmon and my husband can't stop raving about his pork chops. I was telling our waiter how entertaining the kitchen was. We had great view from where we sat. It just flows and they never looked rushed or stressed! Wow amazing ! Thank you ! read more

Bar Meets Grill - Michael Jackson tribute after amazing dinner. - New American Near Me - Pala, California

Giget the front hostess who check us in was really nice and even gave us a tour of the back restaurant called Anila's. We came here to celebrate and the service experience was horrible. we waited more then 45 mins no water refill even when the waiter Fidel brought us food he didn't refill our empty water cups. However all the other Mexicans at the other tables got served. We complained to the head host Maryann worst service she snarled what at my husband. Giget went to find another server who checked on us and filled our water I believe her name was Astrid. As do food wedge salad was room temperature wasn't even crisp like lettuce should be. Claim shower was good, meatballs looked undercooks in the middle so we took it to go.. we felt under served bc we were Asian.. I'm sure Mr. Buro would have something to say about this. read more

Ambiance awesome, Service awesome ....Regarding the food, Bar Meets Grill is excessively overpriced. While we don't object to the price point, the portions have shrunk dramatically. For instance, a 6oz fillet costs over $100 and comes with only one carrot, four green beans, and a small portion of mashed potatoes. The food quality and portion sizes need significant improvement. read more

The restaurant is located near the hotel lobby of the casino and I was impressed by the food and service. The calamari was lightly battered and the two pasta dishes we ordered were generous portions. The spaghetti came with three enormous meatballs that were tender on the inside and the bucatini had a pile of guanciale on top. My only critique of the bucatini was that the guanciale could have been pan fried a little more. While I personally like large pieces of pork fat, it got a little heavy at the end. read more

My fiancé and I had dinner yesterday at Bar Meets Grill and it knocked our socks off We shared a half dozen oysters to start as well as a Fallbrook Syrah wine- both were great! He ordered Chilean sea bass that came with purple sweet potato, green beans, avocado and mango- he loved it. I ordered the Prime rib 3 course meal (Cesar salad, prime rib with potato and green bean, and this amazing flourless chocolate cake for dessert). The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. We will be back again. FYI- my fiancé is gluten free and it was no problem If I could change anything, I'd add more than three green beans and a spoonful of potato to the main dish- with these big prices, sure would like sides with it. read more

Had the Prime Rib Dinner. Not bad at all. But you know what sold me? The service. Reed was amazing. I never had to ask for a water refill. He timed the food perfectly. He was so attentive and made the experience memorable. When I get superb service, I like to acknowledge it. Great job!! read more

My husband and I had dinner here last month. We had a meatball appetizer, lamb chops, and linguine with clams. Everything tasted pretty good, but I think I had slightly higher expectations with it being the "upscale" restaurant in the casino. That's ok though, that's on me. Our server was nice and he was transparent that they were short-staffed, so we didn't mind that service was on the slower side. It was a bit dark inside, but big and open. The only thing that I struggled with was the cigarette smoke smell. This restaurant was technically on the non-smoking side of the casino, but the scent really traveled. I had to wash everything when I got home because I'm super sensitive to smoke. We wouldn't go back because of that smell, which I didn't know about beforehand. I assumed all casinos were smoke-free which isn't the case! read more

Seemed like a nice place to eat, and our waitress was happy and enthusiastic Yet, I ended up nauseous all night due their Linguine and Clams. The sauce and noodles were average tasting and covered up the bad clams. Just goes to show, one should not order seafood when your not next to the oceans. read more

What a great experience. I had a reservation for just myself and I was seated promptly. I was near the open concept kitchen. Ashley my server was knowledgeable and gave me a great wine selection. I had French onion soup which was delicious. (It's one of my favorites and I'm picky) then I was coursed out with a boneless ribeye steak cooked perfect medium rare, Brussels sprouts and sautéed shrimp . (I forgot the pic of shrimp) this meal was delicious and hit the spot. I finished out with dessert that was just the right size to end the night. I would definitely be back to keep exploring the menu. read more

Been here twice! Food is amazing. Started with the French onion soup. The crock was only half full with soup, then they added two cheese topped croutons. Not my favorite presentation of this. I love scraping the extra cheese off the side of the crock. The filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The charred corn with brown butter was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. I made reservations, but they weren't necessary for a Thursday at 6pm. Depending where you sit, there's a nice view of the pool. read more

I didn't know what to expect as the reviews on Yelp are a mix bag. I knew a steak house at a casino must have high standards. It was a lot better than I expected. The bread is very good. I came here with a casino regular. He comes he often to eat and recommended that we ordered several orders of bread. He was not wrong. The bread did not disappoint. They served several types of fresh bread such as a French Bread, an Olive Bread and a Cranberry Bread. The bread is out of this world fresh and delicious. You must order extra. Be careful not to fill up on it though. You've been warned! The Cranberry Bread is the best Lobster bisque is served table side. It's creamy and has the right amount thickness. Solid bisque. Our waitress was Tiffany and she was very attentive and upbeat. She provided very good service. She was very accommodating in brining several orders of bread for our table. I ordered the 8 Ounce Meyer Prime Filet Mignon ($75) and it was good steak and they cooked it to perfection as I requested it cooked medium and it was done just right. We also shared an order of the Carnivore ($22) which included Pepperoni, Sausage and Bacon. We added Mushrooms for additional cost. I knew the pizza would be delicious when I first tried their bread. If you can make great bread then you can definitely make great pizza. From the dough standpoint, the crust of the pizza was crispy yet chewy. I would eat here again. Please send me some Cranberry Bread or DM the recipe please read more

The salmon and pasta were very flavorful, salmon nicely prepared & cooked. A very nice French champagne .375 option!! Delish bread. Server was great- made a fresh pit of decafs for me which was really great coffee. My only negative was the bread pudding. Very odd flavor, texture was not typical either. Wasted $$$. We love Bar Meets Grill! The food is always spectacular especially when Carlos is the chef on duty and the service is ALWAYS top notch. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive from Miriam at the front to Behrouz bringing the bread, singing Happy Birthday with his beautiful voice and bussing tables to almost all of the servers....Stephen, Tiffany, Sean...everyone is incredible there. We had the pleasure of having Stephen for our waiter for our Valentines date with our daughter and he is always exceptional and accommodating! The jumbo shrimp cocktail was delicious and the steaks flavor was amazing. Best desserts too especially the flourless chocolate cake (highly recommend)! This is always our go to restaurant whether is for a date night or even taking our kids out in their birthdays( it is all 3 of our kids favorite restaurant). Thanks to everyone at Bar Meets Grill for always making us feel so welcome and taking the best care of us consistently! read more

Bar Meets Grill is a nice and chic bar, inside Pala Casino. It's located near the elevators to go to the rooms, its ambiance is pretty quiet and relaxing, far from the noisy casino. The decoration is lovely. Its menu is solid, it has many alternatives , but I observed that the pizza was one of the most populars. What did we have? To start we had Shrimp Cocktail and then we had a Pizza Margherita, both delicious. Service was good, José took good care of us. Really nice place to eat, to have a drink or two read more

Came here for our anniversary and had oysters, crab-cakes and lamb chops. Food was well served and had great flavor. It's on the pricier end and isn't an enclosed restaurant but it's still very upscale. Our server let us bring our outside drinks in which was a huge plus. We will be back! read more

We enjoy celebrating special dates here at Bar Meets Grill. From the moment we walk in to our departure; every employee exhibits exemplary customer service. The food was excellent here! And a pleasant surprised because our plans changed and we decided to give this place a try. What originally attracted me to the place was their garlic wine steamed clams. However, was disappointed to find out they ran out of clams! I guess things happen for a reason. The crew and our waiter were extra sweet and attentive. Our waiter suggested a wine bottle for pairing and it turned out to be a good recommendation. We decided to try their Chicken Fettucine & their special for the night which was their Branzino. Holy moly...it was really good! Of course I shared with my husband and before you know it, we had eaten everything. Forgot to mention the addictive Walnut Olive Sourdough bread they give you right when you sit down.....we had 3 baskets (hehehehe). So satisfied with the meals, we went for dessert. Eh, it was okay...but you still get an A for the rest of the meals. We will for sure be returning! read more

I made reservations weeks in advance for a party of 12, expecting a seamless dining experience. Instead, we were met with complete disregard. The manager made no effort to accommodate two elderly guests or a member of our party with a disability who required booth seating. Even more frustrating, a child in our group had to sit at a high bar table--clearly not compatible with a booster seat and unsafe. When I politely asked the manager to work with us, he dismissed our concerns with a cold "we have an event" and offered no solutions--no flexibility, no empathy, and certainly no hospitality. To make matters worse, two of our guests had spent nearly $1,200 on a hotel for the weekend to be part of this gathering. We spent almost $700 at this restaurant and walked away with nothing but disappointment. Do yourself a favor and go to Applebee's instead--you'll get better service, better accommodation, and people who actually care that you're there. read more

The Linguine and clams were served with red sauce instead of white. My friend who ordered it was surprised, but said it was still good. Small clams but plentiful. Lots of pasta. Another friend ordered the Meatball side dish and it was huge and very tasty. Three meatballs, large sized. My other friend and I ordered the salmon with crispy skin. She substituted sweet potatoes and said they were very good. The service was excellent. Our server Sean was professional, friendly and efficient. The ambiance is chic. We came here for a 70th birthday dinner & had a nice time. I thought this was the fanciest restaurant in Sycuan Casino, & by looking at their menu prices, you would have thought so too. It is their nicest, sit down restaurant but I was getting Chili's vibes. & the restaurant is not fully enclosed so you can see everyone in the casino so it was louder than expected. Their food is simple & they price their items way more than they should cost. Nonetheless, the dinner was good & we had a nice time. Our server was friendly as well. read more

We always eat at Bar Meets Grill when we visit Pala Casino. This trip was different, we chose to not eat there due to the change in the menu. Sadly, they have removed the wonderful pizzas. Very unprofessional manager!!!! Made me never want to come back to the hotel. We went to make a reservation for a larger party, I was met with nothing but rudeness and unprofessionalism from the manager CJ. We even offered to split into smaller groups at separate tables to make it easier for them, but the manager simply said, "I don't want to serve you." IF YOU DONT WANT TO SERVE US FIND A NEW JOB! Pathetic. I was shocked by this blatant disrespect. Instead of trying to work with us or even explaining their policies politely, the manager's response was dismissive and completely unacceptable. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine what the rest of the service is like. read more

With only a few dining options currently open at Pala Casino and Resort, this is probably the most elegant. The ambiance is fancier. It's further away from the casino action. Wait staff are more attentive. The food options are also much pricier. Though they don't have a drink menu, they get drinks from the bar. The food is excellent and so is the service. My wife and I decided to dine in after a concert. We did make reservations and were seated without any delay. Within a few minutes we were approached by Stephen - our server. We placed our drink and food order and had them out in less than half an hour. Which worked out great since they provide delicious complimentary bread and butter as we waited. We enjoyed a little bit of everything. Appetizers were clams and mussels. Had a Wagyu Burger with pink and a heaping side of garlic fries. The Fruti de Mare was a good size too and very flavorful. By the end of our meal, we were stuffed and couldn't squeeze in a dessert... which ensured we would have to return again lol. Price, value, selection- Bar Meets Grill met all our needs! Thanks a million for helping make our wonderful date night even more pleasant. Remember to tip well. read more
