It's pretty good for a dive bar. The service is always reasonably fast. And the drinks are very decently priced. My only qualm would be that the cash only system is outdated, it is 2025 we need to be able to accept credit and debit cards. Otherwise I would come and visit much more often. Pulling out cash is a major pain in the @ss and inconvenience. We don't care if there's an ATM right there because we don't want to pay an ATM fee just to have a couple drinks. The wait staff are VERY kind and COURTEOUS. Thank you! However the DJ is kind of a d!ck, and by that I mean a complete A-hole. He selectively chooses who he will allow to sing at karaoke and who he will not allow. And I am one that he will not allow. He only plays one type of music, which is old school hip hop, which I do not mind, but is just a pre-made setlist and he has no interest in playing music people actually want to hear, he just does his own thing and ignores everybody else. Was in town for a wedding and we stopped in here for some drinks since our hotel was within walking distance. Good service, strong drinks, but cash only. They have an ATM in there. The young man who was cooking that night did a great job, and you could tell he really cared about his food. The wings are so good! And I'm still dreaming about the fresh pork rinds. Uhh, can you order me a vanilla press. Double." Thanks FLAG6! Those in the know do not park in front. When we walked in, everyone knew we were first timers (all the cool kids park in the back lot). As a 20 year resident of Fallbrook The Red Eye Saloon is for me "The Bar of Last Resort" and oh what a low bar it is! If you are into testosterone, bar fights, white supremacy, and conversations that can be summed up as mind numbingly stupid this is the place for you. To be fair there food is good but good enough to make up for the cash only policy. We're in the second decade of the 21st century for god sake people don't carry wads of cash. Those people who do for personal safety should not stroll into this place. Sadly there is not a huge selection of good bars in Fallbrook/ Bonsall so the bar is low. This is what a dive bar is all about. I'm not a dive bar veteran, but once you've been to one, it's easy to recognize others. When I walked in with the FLAG6 posse we were greeted not by the bartender, but by the regulars at the bar. Amazing. The place wasn't that full, about a handful of regulars and a few young bucks shooting pool. This place was plan B after JJ Landers closed up shop at 10p! Next time, we'll just head straight to Red Eye...if there is a next time haha. So the drink prices are indeed low as low can go. The only place you'll find a cheaper cocktail would be in a casino, but the catch there is that you need to be gambling. There's no gambling at Red Eye, at least as far as I know. I'm sure you could rustle up some marks to shake down at the pool table, but those days are long behind me. I like this place and I wouldn't mind spending a few nights here watching events unfold. I love this bar! They make good drinks and have a pretty outstanding selection of liquors and even drinks for the ladies. It's a really laid back place where the owner knows his customers personally. Small town dive in a small town. Never had the food, but heard its really good. Pretty big place. one area for the sit down bar, and then another room with tables, dance floor, stage, pool tables, snack vending machine and jukebox. Bathrooms are actually clean, which is stranger than strange. Bands on the weekends, sometimes a DJ,mixed crowd, and sometimes you can be the only people in the place. All the bartenders are pretty good at their craft, but def. not a place to get a top shelf margarita or anything.... Security guy keeps an eye on things when it gets busy and crowded. I could not think of a more quentissial Fallbrook bar. The mix of people is a great if your into people watching. You got Fallbrook locals mixed with young people, mixed with more random people. You know it's Fallbrook, it's all about randomness. Cheap (and stiff!) drinks served by the fastest working bartender I've ever seen (Steve I believe) If you live in Fallbrook your nightlife choices are pretty limited. DO NOT GO HERE, this is a very sketchy bar. While we were playing pool, my friend gets approached by an old Cuban man with a white fedora and suit, and shortly after he leaves her purse goes missing. We looked everywhere around the bar for it. We found out later that night from a local at a gas station that this bar has always been a sketchy place.The next morning, the bartender says no one found a purse. About 10 minutes later as I'm sitting in my car, it magically appears. A few men that were sitting at the bar bring me her purse. There are not that many places for a purse to hide around the bar. Everything except for cash seemed to be in there still. I regret ever stepping foot into that place. read more

The new bartenders were respectful and the beer prices and food specials were fair. This place gives dive bars a bad name. I happened in on a Sunday to watch the evening ball game. There were a lot of locals sporting various jerseys so I figured I had come to the right place. The male bartender (owner get a clue - men buy more drinks from a good looking female) was not there for the business of selling drinks. I could not get his attention even between the side show(s) of him on the bar with various women exchanging limes and body shots, sometimes, two "ladies" at a time. I was amused enough to snap some pictures. He, the person working had more booze than I or many other people waiting their turn. At some point the locals started yelling and shoving. I like feisty women but the mouth on the one that had just been on the bar on the bartender made my sailor buds look like saints. She had a loose mouth and a loose finger flipping people off. She had clearly been drinking way too much and was not thinking clearly when she decided to hit another of the guest. My very first girl fight broke out. This clearly could have made my day until it escalated and I saw the man that was with the mouth hit a girl that was trying to break the fight up. I thought I was going to have to have my very first bar fight but another man got to him and stopped him first. The bartender got off his back off the bar and pushed the fight outside where it continued. When everyone came charging back into the bar, the one that started it was yelling that she was kicking everyone out and that they do not belong here. Was I correct in hearing that the drunk, lay on the bar doing body shot mouthy person who started a big up roar had the authority to tell us all to get out? Yep, with everything she was yelling I came to learn that she is a bartender there herself. So when I say this place gives dive bars a bad name it is because the bartender on duty lost control of his bar while the off duty bartender got the punches flying. As I was leaving to go to my car I heard her say that she had called the police, as should be. The problem with this for me is that she started a mess, called the police and then drove off in her car. Meanwhile, the bartender (and I use that loosely) closed the bar down. Police arriving, doors shutting us all out and nothing to do but walk or risk getting in trouble. So I would like to thank you Mr. Bartender for not being Johnny on the spot on getting me a beer. You saved me from your off duty bartender getting me stopped when in fact it should have been her pulled over. And this, all before 8:00 pm! I would hate to see a weekend night. read more
