This place gives dive bars a bad name. I happened in on a Sunday to watch the evening ball game. There were a lot of locals sporting various jerseys so I figured I had come to the right place. The male bartender (owner get a clue - men buy more drinks from a good looking female) was not there for the business of selling drinks. I could not get his attention even between the side show(s) of him on the bar with various women exchanging limes and body shots, sometimes, two "ladies" at a time. I was amused enough to snap some pictures. He, the person working had more booze than I or many other people waiting their turn. At some point the locals started yelling and shoving. I like feisty women but the mouth on the one that had just been on the bar on the bartender made my sailor buds look like saints. She had a loose mouth and a loose finger flipping people off. She had clearly been drinking way too much and was not thinking clearly when she decided to hit another of the guest. My very first girl fight broke out. This clearly could have made my day until it escalated and I saw the man that was with the mouth hit a girl that was trying to break the fight up. I thought I was going to have to have my very first bar fight but another man got to him and stopped him first. The bartender got off his back off the bar and pushed the fight outside where it continued. When everyone came charging back into the bar, the one that started it was yelling that she was kicking everyone out and that they do not belong here. Was I correct in hearing that the drunk, lay on the bar doing body shot mouthy person who started a big up roar had the authority to tell us all to get out? Yep, with everything she was yelling I came to learn that she is a bartender there herself. So when I say this place gives dive bars a bad name it is because the bartender on duty lost control of his bar while the off duty bartender got the punches flying. As I was leaving to go to my car I heard her say that she had called the police, as should be. The problem with this for me is that she started a mess, called the police and then drove off in her car. Meanwhile, the bartender (and I use that loosely) closed the bar down. Police arriving, doors shutting us all out and nothing to do but walk or risk getting in trouble. So I would like to thank you Mr. Bartender for not being Johnny on the spot on getting me a beer. You saved me from your off duty bartender getting me stopped when in fact it should have been her pulled over. And this, all before 8:00 pm! I would hate to see a weekend night. read more

Best dive bar in fallbrook. Open from 6am-2am. Strong drinks, awesome bartenders, three pool tables and as dance floor, the bartenders are on point every time, and all the girls are easy on the eyes. read more

Place is a small hole in the wall, however they have the most amazing tacos for a dollar all night long on Tuesday's!!! Happy hour is only dollar drinks, but even if you don't make happy hour, drinks are super cheep. The people are super friendly. The music that the people play is definitely vey random (from country to head banging to whatever). They have three pool tables. Great place, even if you are high maintenance (even like me, lol), just get past the small town place, and you are good. read more

This place needs an update. I know part of the fun here is that it is a dive bar and if you are from town you can almost always run into someone you know, but this place has not been updated since probably the year 2002. If not longer. I do like the pool tables, and large dance floor. It is also a cash only bar, so it is nice to not have to worry about leaving my card at the bar for once. read more

My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday night after a long bike ride heading home and wanted one more beer and a juicy burger. Complete DUMP! I went here last weekend with some friends. Lucky for us one of us had an expired ID but they let us in anyway, but we soon figured out why. It's basically a ghost town in there. Place smells like piss and there was only old people. They have a guy bartender that pours good but "forgot" to give us our change. Once we told him he still kept it. The beer on tap is just warm water. So flat. You might as well go to the other bar in town. Drinks are a couple bucks more but it's worth it. read more

I like this place. I order the chicken wings my wife gets a burger. It's been pretty good. The wings are crispy and tasty. The food does take maybe 10 to 15 minutes too long. But that's the price you pay for good food t at a good price. I don't drink but it seems like a good dive bar. read more

Not the first time I have been there. Stopped in for lunch, they have a limited lunch menu. I tried the tuna melt which was listed on the menu as tuna on toast or something like that. The tuna had waaaay too much mayonnaise for my liking. The beer was overpriced but the service was good. read more

I love me some Red Eye Saloon! It's always been a cool, casual bar in Fallbrook, but with the newer owners, even better. Drinks are made strong here, but not always with the right ingredients, the price is also twice as much as anywhere else.

This is my go to place. Always good drinks and there burgers are amazing and if for some reason its not the cook will definitely make things right. I love that they always have some kind of special and they stick to it un like some of the newer places that have open recently in town. The upgrades and large TVs for sports make them a great place for a night or day out with friends. If you haven't been go if you have and didn't enjoy try them again the red eye is worth it. read more

Overpriced drinks. Takes ridiculously long to get change back after ordering and numerous attempts at trying to get the bartender's attention and it wasn't even busy. Bartender probably thought they were going to keep my change and that I was not going to tip. They only accept cash, so don't plan on being able to use a card for anything. Who owns a business in the 21st century that doesn't accept cards? Who do you know that keeps cash on them these days? You'll see a combination of old to young at this place, as well as people who have been throwing their lives away on a nightly basis in the bar scene over the last 40 years. There was a really creepy guy that would walk by us every so often and try to stare us down as he walked by since clearly we weren't from town. The guy looked severely wasted so I asked him, "Man are you wasted?" to which he replied, "Not yet but I am getting there." And then he looked like he was going to attempt hitting me. That was also his invitation to trying to talk trash to me and ask me if I knew anyone there. He was probably sizing me up and wanted to fight me. The odd part about all that I mentioned was that the bartender that took care of us was actually really friendly and helpful when I could actually get his attention. If City Limits Band is playing, I am sure to go there. Their music is great for dancing. They've also added a new entertaining addition to most of their gigs. There are usually more people on Saturday nights then Friday nights but if you're in the area, be sure to stop for a beer. Nice people and great security too. read more
