Unless you're a professional dancer, or want to be, skip this place. The entire dance floor is taken over by people who obviously put a lot of time into learning dance routines. Anyone who says "they wouldn't let me in because they suspected I was already drunk" is lying. I have a tremor and foot drop which can make me look like I'm drunk, but they have never stopped me. My girlfriend and I came here on a Saturday night with hopes of going line dancing and dancing together. However they only played one country line dancing song and that was Outlaw. The rest of the songs were mainly just pop songs not country songs. Seriously if you are looking for country songs to line dance to I would recommend that you avoid this place at all cost. It's just a waste of your hard working money and gas! We're never coming back here ever again! Also their youtube line dancing videos, I wouldn't recommend watching them because they don't play those songs that they teach! read more

Everything needs to improve. We were kicked off the dance floor for "not knowing how to properly line dance" which is fine. But then the older woman continued to hassle us for every little thing we did from then on out. We weren't allowed to hold our drinks, we weren't allowed to dance, we weren't allowed to look her in the eye, we weren't allowed to order, we weren't allowed to look master in the eye. I have never, ever felt excluded or pulled the "race card" but holy cow was it obvious they were trying to keep this bar... "pure" for lack of a better word. We're all Hispanic but some of us do look a little mixed and I think that was enough to signal the alarm bells. We weren't allowed to drink, laugh, dance, or breathe without them running over with the bull whips. I'll never step inside this place again without a body cam. read more

At the entrance is security. After a person and belongings search, your ID is scanned to check if you're of legal age. Then it's a $10 cover fee. Cash or card is accepted. I came here on a Saturday night around 8:00pm. It wasn't crowded yet. It seems like the crowd starts picking up around 9:00 or 9:30 pm. I came with friends for a birthday celebration. Our goal was to ride the bull and maybe check out the line dancing. The bull ride is also $10 with the option of a shot for an additional amount. The bull itself needs a cosmetic upgrade. One horn was a little loose and the handle is a vertical rope with a knot. "Knot" really ideal. Despite those little details, the bull riding was fun and entertaining. As for the line dancing, I was hoping for a more visual instruction step by step but it wasn't. It was more of an explanation of the steps, but no problem. Overall, it's a spacious place and entertaining. I feel more relaxed knowing there is security presence all around entrance searches. I would come back again but mainly for the bull. The Stampede used to be the bomb.com, however over the years it has gone down hill a bit. When the focus was on country it was a blast. Always was a bit of a "meat market", but eye candy is nice while having a few cold ones. Anyway, might be worth checking out if you are in Temecula. Friday and Saturday nights are the best. We'd just started our night celebrating my 50th BD so decided to check out this place to start off and entrance was denied to my husband accusing him of being intoxicated which was absurd. Didn't even make it through the door. Security took one look at us and said we "looked intoxicated" -- no conversation, no questions, just immediate judgment. It felt racially motivated, as we're Hispanic, and based on other reviews, this place seems to have a pattern of discriminating against anyone who doesn't match their image. Unwelcoming, unfair, and unacceptable. I genuinely hope they go out of business. You are located in wine country and in downtown full of bars. It was the beginning of the night and my brother (combat veteran) was getting wanded down and as he turned around he apologized to the security that he can't really hear well. The security looked at him and was offended my brother said sorry and he asked why are you sorry bro? My brother repeated I don't have good hearing, I was just saying sorry I can't hear you. The security told him yah we can't let you in. My brother thought he was kidding because we hadn't even begin drinking and he was nothing short of respectful. I asked to speak to a manager on why my brother was being discriminated against and explain he doesn't hear well because of his service but they didn't care to listen. It's a cool place lots of bars, a store, and pool. There is a cowboy kitchen but from what I saw most of the food is fried and I wish they had more healthy options. The bartenders seemed to be friendly and there was a waitress. I was very taken aback by the waitresses uniform. It did not seem appropriate for her body type or the feel of the place. I feel awful to say that but it was very uncomfortable to see that. Country wasn't really played but I don't mind that it made it more fun. Don't understand how you have a dj that requires a Venmo payment to play requests. Isn't he getting paid? Also, when you allow this you get specific songs from the Venmo crowd the general populace don't dance to. I've been to many country bars across Southern California and in a few other states. This one was very spacious, so many different areas to enjoy different activities within, such as pool tables, bull riding, outdoor patio areas (much needed due to how hot it is inside!!), multiple bar areas to order drinks, a very large dance floor that divides the couples from the single dancers, and a DJ that plays a wide variety of mixed genres that everyone can enjoy! I've read other reviews that were rated poorly because they ranked by regulars, those who all know the dance moves vs those who don't (claiming they are not welcome on the dance floor...hmmm, I didn't see that at all in fact many were welcoming and teaching others!), and complained that it is a non-traditional country type bar and dint play country music. However, being in Temecula where diversity is at its finest and many who are just out to enjoy a great night of dancing, I think their music mix fits the crowds in fact, the night I was there, the DJ graciously introduced newlyweds and had the crowd welcome their first dance! Hard to say they are not welcoming. It was my first time here and I absolutely enjoyed the night! Friends and family joined in on the fun learning how to dance to a few songs or even doing our own thing, as other newbies were! We had a blast! Mind you all they offer lessons around 6:30pm! So many regulars I spoke to said they come every weekend to learn and "workout"! We look forward to coming out more often! We reserved table service so we had a table to ourselves with bottle service and a host who kept our drinks filled, cold, and our food coming. Ms. Ryan made our night a fabulous one hosting us all night! I took away one star because as much as we love to dance, it was really warm in the facility. If I could give a negative review, I totally would. The bouncers are thieves. My lady went in and asked what she had in her purse. She was honest about having a pocket knife in her purse. She was told to go lay it out somewhere and grab it later. A secondary bouncer headed to where she hid it and picked it up and that was witnessed by my girl. 1st bouncer was telling the secondary bouncer to run inside before my girl was able to catch up. The knife they stole from her was to protect herself from anyone especially if she's not from there. If something happened to her that night and she did not have protection. There's no words to describe what I would do. read more

I went here tonight for midget wrestling I had reserved a table with a server and I think I would've had better odds going to the bar. We waited almost 2 hours for bar food and almost 30-45 mins for a bucket of beer. I paid almost 300 tonight just for the tickets and had to pay the bill with an unadvised ( not on the menu, and not on the website) 20% tip on it. I tried to call the manager over but had to wait over 30 mins and just left. My first time coming here for anything and don't think I'll be back again unfortunately. Honestly HUGE let down. I never write reviews, but I think people should warned before they go to this place. I went last night for my sister's bachelorette and everyone was super judge mental, non inclusive, and very rude. The DJ was also so disrespectful and blatantly rude. We requested one song for the bride and he complained over the microphone for about 10 minutes and talked bad about our whole group, including the bride, while we were waiting quietly and patiently. When her song came up, everyone on the dance floor was visibly irritated and the DJ blamed the bride over the microphone while she was on the dance floor. I am very disappointed in this establishment and we will not be returning here. I hope the owners consider a new DJ that has better a better attitude and manners. It will be easy to find a new DJ considering his only job is to press play. Do better. read more

The front half is spacious with plenty of room to walk around. It includes a long bar, a smaller bar, and souvenir store. Also, a game area with pool tables, beer pong and punching bag machines. There is a middle area with tables and chairs. The back half is where the dance floor lives. Despite its impressive size, it is still not large enough for the Gen Z crowd that overwhelms it. These youngsters make up the vast majority of the patrons. They are well trained in country swing and the line dances that are specific to this honky tonk--if you can even call it that. This generation has parted ways with two-step that is the staple of the preceding generations of country dancers. As advanced as the general skill level is here for country swing and line dancing, it alienates everyone else who might be interested in getting on the dance floor. Not just novice dancers, but also those of us who are veteran at country two-step. It's obvious that these regulars are putting ample time in outside of this dance hall to take lessons and practice in country swing and the local line dances. While two-step might not be on their radar, I do give them credit for learning one progressive country dance--meaning a partner dance that travels counterclockwise around the dance floor--called the cowboy cha-cha. That puts them one step closer to hopefully adding two-step to their repertoire one day. Since they've otherwise done away with these dances, the metal pipe railing no longer serves any purpose on the dance floor. Instead, it remains there like a monument to all the two-stepping that used to exist on the dance floor before the previous generations of country dancers were displaced by the Gen Z takeover. The dance floor is definitely a stampede, and I think they should expand it, which they definitely have the space for. read more

What a disappointment. I used to be stationed at Pendleton and the I'd go to the Stampede 1 or 2 times a week. I went last night for the first time in about 8 years. I definitely won't be going back. The music was just club and hip hop music. No country music at all. No more guys dancing for the girls while the girls sit on the dance floor. When it was a true honky Tonk, every night was packed. If most nights are like last night, it makes sense why the place was maybe at a quarter capacity. No passion anymore, just a generic club. Boring and lame. read more

Absolutely Heartbreaking and Disrespectful Experience -- Will Never Return I've never felt so violated and disrespected at a venue in my life. My cousin and I were escorted out of Temecula Stampede after going into the same bathroom stall -- after we had already gone through strict security and a full pat-down. My cousin is dyslexic and needed my help. We weren't doing anything wrong. We were sober. We weren't causing problems. We were just trying to enjoy a night out with our family. Instead, we were treated like criminals. It was humiliating, aggressive, and completely unnecessary. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. The lack of compassion or understanding from the staff was honestly shocking. We left feeling heartbroken, disrespected, and deeply upset. We had paid to be there, and we were just trying to have a good time. I was walking in, they wanted to search my purse. No problem, normal procedure. I let them know I have a purse like the grandmas purse from hallloweentown.... And he was like what? What's in it? And I said tampons, one-a-day contacts (I'm legally blind without them) chapstick, toothbrush, floss (for emergencies), lipgloss, glasses, tums, hand sanitizer, lotion, literally every item in my purse and he said "I can't let you in, you're too drunk" and I was like.... My recent experience at Stampede was frustrating due to a lack of professional staff and poor management. After waiting in line for the mechanical bull for over 20 minutes (with the person in front of me waiting even longer), a staff member returned but helped a couple who had just arrived. When I brought this to her attention, she was unhelpful and rude. When a manager and security got involved, they refused to check the timestamps on our completed waivers, claiming they weren't valid because a staff member wasn't present when they were filled out. This was illogical, as the timestamps still proved we were there first. Both the manager and security seemed uninterested in resolving the issue fairly or honoring the time we had waited. They dismissed my concerns and showed no willingness to find a reasonable solution. It was a disheartening display of poor customer service. After walking away from the situation, I was thanked by the girl who was in front of me for speaking up for her, and was also told by other witnesses that I had their support in the situation. I ended up leaving without riding the bull, as I didn't want to support a business that treats its patrons this way. It's a shame, as the female staff at the entrance were very kind and professional, and most of your other staff are great. I am willing to speak with higher leadership to discuss this situation further and will adjust my review based on their response. read more

Went to this place on Friday and was celebrating a bachelorette party, they checked my ID and scanned it, went in stayed a couple hours and left. The next day we wanted to go back again, made line and when I get my ID checked the girl checking it looked at it scanned and flashed the UV light on it. She said I'm gonna have somebody else look at it. Another guy comes over and checks it as well and scans the UV light again. He tells me I can't let you in because we can't authenticate your ID. I told him I was just here yesterday and he replied with "I'm sorry, but I can't see any holograms on your ID, normally they'll have a cactus" (Arizona ID). I take out my phone and turn the flash light on and tell him it's right there! And he replies with "sorry unfortunately I can't allow you to go in anymore". The only other explanation for this unfortunate situation was racially profiling, because nothing else makes sense. My fiancé is cop and he physically looked at my ID and says nothing was absolutely wrong with it. read more
