I am a regular at the wreck. I go there because the bartenders are THE BEST! This bar always made me feel so comfortable and welcome.... and then recently things seemed to shift. I met the owner and hes not friendly, but that didnt matter because the staff is so great! Recently (i dont know if they hired someone knew or what because shes never working behind the bar unless to change things on the computer.) I witnessed a tall blonde woman with pigeon legs being rude, entitled, and demanding to the staff. I couldnt believe the entitlement. She just recently started coming around and when shes behind the bar, she seems to be upping the prices, which i noticed on my bill at the end of the night. I dont know whats going on there, because shes always with the owner. However, the way she behaves is unacceptable and rude. And I feel like shes the reason things have been changing. I introduced myself to her and she scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. Anyway, ever since shes started coming around they have been making less of an effort to make the patrons feel comfortable and more focused on money. There used to be karaoke and bands, but they just stopped, and then still raised the prices of drinks. Its such a bummer, I loved this place. I know im not the only one who's having a problem. Ive heard so many people talk about going to smogs because the entertainment is there or even Ringside and Ringside sucks. I might have to go back to O'haras at this point. Like I said, it was my favorite bar. But unfortunately I'd rather not support a guy that secretly raises my drink prices between first shift and second shift. I will miss the staff though! Bre was absolutely amazing behind the bar -- friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience enjoyable. She handled everything professionally and created a welcoming atmosphere that really stood out. Unfortunately, before this experience some dude on a different night kept skipping songs on touch tunes and came across as very hotheaded and seemed quick to create tension or conflict, which took away from the overall experience. It's disappointing because the staff, especially Bre, Caitlyn, Blaire, and Brittany clearly work hard to provide great service. I truly hope ownership can improve the way situations are handled moving forward. The new staff is their biggest asset. Place looks great, it's cleaner and the bathrooms are amazing now. read more

Since reopening I was skeptical but bry made me and my family feel so welcome. She's the good balance of bitchy sarcasm and caring. She gives us laughs and always gives us a hug. And most importantly remembers our drinks! The only reason me and my dad keep coming for beer 30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays is for bry! Came to the wreck tonight to see the DJ which I loved last time she was here (super upbeat and fun!) I was extremely disappointed when I watched her walk in and the security immediately escorted her out and mentioned something about the owner canceling her. It felt really unprofessional and poorly handled, we decided to go somewhere else. Later on me and my friend returned to see Chance (great drinks and conversation in our past experiences with him!). We asked the security what had happened with the DJ earlier and he said "the DJ never showed up" that was super frustrating considering we personally watched her arrive and then be rudely escorted out. The conflicting stories really left a bad impression and made me think something shady was going on behind the scenes. They easily could have just said that plans changed instead of giving different explanations depending on who asks. This was my first time coming here and all I wanted to do was play pool with my friends. I was then discriminated for my race and was accused of stealing a phone. This phone was left on the table near the pool tables and me and my friends didn't go near it because of that. A few minutes later the phone went missing and the guy that lost his phone instantly questioned us if we stole his phone, we continued to say we didn't and we would not do that. We continued to play pool and the bouncer then came over and scanned our ID's which he didn't do at the door. When we finished our pool game we were on our way out because the energy just didn't feel right. On our way out, we passed by him and he then came up to us and was angry, he said "You sure you didn't steal it? We are about to check the cameras." We repeated that is something we wouldn't do, then it escalated into discrimination and accusations of something we did not do. He came towards us aggressively like he was going to get physical. On Saturday June 26th, 2021; I was a part of a large ride with several bikers who were all staying at Lake Elsinore. Our last stop was at The Wreck bar. First of all, when we walked in, it was swelteringly hot!! Not just a little hot but like a sauna! Not air movement. Then, as we walked in, we noticed the dark haired bartender was picking up glasses by grabbing them by putting her fingers inside the glasses to bring them to the cleaning area. She was NOT cleaning them or putting them into water - just placing them on a shelf next to the sink. Then, without washing her hands, picking up "clean" glasses the same way and putting them on the bar with her fingers inside the glasses instead of grabbing the glasses on the outside! I didn't notice this filthy disgusting method immediately but it was quickly pointed out by the other riders who quickly announced that they're not ordering any drinks from her! The blonde haired bartender was making the effort to make sure her drinking glasses were clean before pouring a drink but she was overwhelmed due to a full bar and most were avoiding the dark haired woman clearly smearing her dirty fingers inside the glasses and almost everyone was trying to avoid her. This is not only a health hazard but does say something about the person serving drinks at The Wreck. I thought about not writing a bad/negative review because we usually only like to write positive reviews but this seemed like it needed to have a light shined on it. Bikers are usually not germaphobes by any means but none of our group ordered any drinks and we got out of there within a few minutes of watching her put people's health in jeopardy. If this place has surveillance, they will see what we saw but I would NEVER eat or drink anything served at this place! Especially by that bartender. read more

I was shining shoes in the Wreck in 1970. It has been a great place with great owners, sense I was a real young man. I stop in every now and then just to say hello. The regulars keep to themselves and they are there every day, some all day. There are patches of danger zones here. A danger zone is an area where an unidentifiable odor saturates your being. One of the friendliest dive bars I've ever been in. Have been in here twice. Each time there are characters. The last time there was a guy who had just pulled some radishes from his home veggie garden, had too many, and was giving them away - delicious! Drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The place is huge. Everything from pool tables, to dartboards, to a reading corner. Don't go to the bathroom unless you really have to... (Almost dropped to 4 stars!) Will definitely be back. This place is awesome, definitely one of the gems of Lake Elsinore. They have really great live bands that play here such as full front nudity and sultan of rock a whole lot of fun. There offer billards, table tennis, shuffle board, a jukebox and a small library of paperback fiction novels. The staff is friendly and warm and the bathrooms are stark and divey. My only complaint is they don't have any beers on tap or any kind of food or snack though the charming nautical decor and cute miniature lighthouses make up for the lack of beer nuts and such. Great history, read the newspaper article framed on the wall by the front door. This place has a bar that is tipped over from people leaning on it, it's raw wood so it defies gravity by holding drinks up even though they should just slide off, crazy. They are super busy so even with 3 people at the bar you always have to wait forever to get a drink. The bathroom is a single so when it started to back up everyone in line started to worry. Watched the band the Wreck which was a good band and got a free CD. Felt like I was in North Park. Place needs a clean up and maintenance. read more

It's a true dive bar! Cheap drinks, friendly staff, pool, darts, and live music on the weekends. On the occasions I went the place had a decent number of people in there, but it wasn't so packed that you couldn't get service- I would call it the perfect situation!
