Made this account just to tell you how much it sucks, the bouncers steal your stuff and are bullies. Drinks are mad mid. Atmosphere even more mid, hard to recommend this place with so many better places within 15 feet of this dump. Not to mention the staff overall just have a bad attitude and are incredibly rude. I was really looking forward to visiting this place yesterday, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. I fully cooperated with security during the entry process. As part of their search, they asked to check the bottoms of my boots. I had no issue with that and briefly held onto my friend for balance while lifting each foot. After that, one security member cleared me to go through, but another stopped me and claimed I was too intoxicated to enter--simply because I had held onto my friend. I calmly explained that I wasn't intoxicated and was only maintaining balance during their check, but they still refused us entry. It was a frustrating and confusing experience, especially since we were excited to go line dancing and enjoy the night. Security's judgment felt unfair and left us very disappointed. read more

I came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. There is a line to get in and security pats you down and everything which takes awhile. You can pay cover with a card though which was nice! Dance floor is large but it has railings which was unexpected to me. Railing on the edge and in the middle such that there was a square-ish dance floor in the middle and then a kind of "track" on the outer part for two steppers. For being a country bar, not much country music was played which was a bit disappointing. But still nice mix of line dancing and swing. OK I wasn't sure what to make of this place going in I'm not really into line dancing, and this place is all about the line dancing. We got there rather early 730. They already had their line dancing coach ( Phillep) right in the middle of the floor . We boot scooted ourselves around that floor for close to four hours, and we only paid a five dollar cover fee. Whhhhaaaaattttt! We burned off so many calories I was ready for a second dinner . The people were also nice , the music was great. It was very safe they've got tons of security around the building. They've got the mechanical bull if you feel so inclined. The cocktails are extremely reasonable in price. They don't bite your head off when you just ask for a glass of ice water . The bathrooms were very clean, air, conditioned dance floor. Again , I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this place. I've heard reviews from people saying good, bad and just ok. I just went to the Stampede to celebrate a friend's birthday. OMG this place is so fun! The ambiance was great from the moment we arrived. They had fun lighting, several bars and food, a shop and bull riding. The music and line dancing was a total blast. We drove three hours to get there and are already planning another girl's trip to go back. 100% recommend! read more

When we got to the front they gave us a very hard time for having breast milk in a small thermos and pump parts and did not want to let us in, we felt extremely unwelcomed and charges a cover. This guy on the picture has this shirt but tells you he's taking a break. Fire him already. They only dance with girls they want to. We were also in line for drinks and lady behind us told us not to get food because it sucks. We ended up getting nachos just to munch on something and I think the nachos at 7/11 are better. This place is not it. Girl at the front with black hair checking my id gave me a look like she wanted to run me over whilst I got mine out to show. She continued to stare me down for the rest of the night and was a bystander to a situation in which a woman came up to me and told me to get off of the dance floor with two other people on it saying that I was going to bump into them, mind you I believe they worked there. So basically I paid 10 dollars drinks tips just to get treated so poorly when I know more line dances than I can count and have been line dancing since I was a child. Very rude staff. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars but a 1 star is the lowest review possible. I never write reviews, but this was probably the worst experience I've ever had in hospitality. This place is completely discriminatory, particularly towards Hispanics. I would even go as far as to call them racists. All of their staff was Caucasian, expect for one African American security guard. The night started when my wife and I decided to go there after our wedding with some of our guests. Once we arrived, they immediately denied us entry because they claimed my wife was "too intoxicated" and that "have higher standards at this establishment". This wasn't based on anything other than his opinion. My wife wasn't stumbling, slurring her words, or showing any sign of intoxication. I informed him that we are coming from our wedding and of course she has a few drinks but she wasn't drunk. She started getting snooty and I asked to speak to his manager. Once I explained the situation to the security manager, he even gave his employee a look like "come on dude, it's their wedding night" and he let us in if we promised not to consume alcohol. Within 5 minutes of us entering, they escorted one of our guests out for "being aggressive". However, there was no aggression present. My cousin had paid for the mechanical bull ride, signed the waiver, and as soon as he got on the bull, the employee told him to get off and start the process all over again. He explained that he already paid and filled out the waiver and she said "I didn't tell you to get on". After a few snarky comments, my cousin finally said something back and she had 3 security guards escort him out for being "aggressive". My cousin is a gay Mexican man weighing 120 pounds and is no way aggressive. This was about control. I asked to speak to the manager to find a middle ground and he was the worst of the lot. This manager was different from the security manager. This guy is also Caucasian, about 6'2", tattooed sleeves, and for lack of a better word, douchey attitude. When I asked why was he kicked out and if there was any middle ground we can find, he just smiled and said "I've never had any issues with this employee before and I'm not taking your cousins word over hers". I said "that's completely understandable as a manager, but that's only one side of the story. I've known my cousin longer than you've known your employee and I know he's not aggressive, so I in turn can't take her story over my cousins". His response was "you're being argumentative so guess what, you're kicked out too". I then said "it's our wedding day, and we brought 20 people to spend money and line dance here. Can't there be any middle ground?" He responded with "kick rocks". That's when I understood that he's the ring leader and why all other employees were acting the way they do. They think they can talk to guests however they want and kick you out if you call them out on their poor service. Since they kicked us out, all of our guests went to another bar down the street only to find out that manager called the surrounding bars telling them "don't let the bridal party in". We found this out when we arrived to next bar. Their security asked "are you the bridal party?" I said "yes" and he told us that the stampede manager called them to block our entry. But he said no way and let was kind enough to stay open after hours just for us. So to the smart ass manager at Stampede, looks like the jokes on you. read more

Got kicked out by some power-tripping worker named Stan, who clearly thinks running a bar means running a dictatorship. We weren't loud, we weren't causing trouble -- just existing apparently offended his fragile ego. We walked in and were excited to have a good night, we were having having a great time until a team member came over and told us that my friends and I were too drunk and she drew an x on our 21 year old hands. The venue is huuuuge and gorgeous! Mechanical bull riding, a huge dance floor, multiple bars, and extremely friendly staff. However, it is SOOOO hot in here. like it should not be legal with how hot it is. Multiple people in my party felt sick from heat exhaustion even if they weren't dancing/ drinking water. There are a few fans in the place and everyone is clumped in front of it, the heat is that bad. LAME. Not for newbies or anyone not a regular. Not for country fans. Not for line dancing fans. Seems to cater to a very limited clientele of arrogant, scantily clad showoffs who try to impress everyone. Anyone new has to just stand or sit awkwardly and watch the "show" because we sure don't feel welcome on the dance floor. Came at 6 for lessons at 6:30. Lessons didn't start til 7:45!! Then it was 3 VERY short lessons, not very well taught, no apology for being so late, with 40 min of complicated dances for the regulars in between. Just no fun for anyone who doesn't come every weekend and can't possibly pick up the absurdly complex dances. Plus 70% of the songs were pop remixes, not country. Don't expect line dancing classics like Incahoots used to have! No cotton eyed Joe, watermelon crawl, god blessed Texas, boot scootin boogie, or cowboy cha cha. Just song after song of super fast pop garbage and complicated twirling dances only the regulars know. I even made some classic requests and they never got played. Just not a fun vibe for anyone looking for a true line dancing experience. Too much ego, showing off, arrogance, and superiority from those who have the ability to show up regularly. Newbies are not welcomed or wanted. We just get in their way apparently. Not worth the drive. Not worth the cover. Bring back classic line dancing and leave this crappy music and showoff vibes to regular clubs! read more

Lots of people are saying the DJ only plays hip hop, but as someone who enjoys both country dancing and pop line dances that isn't much of an issue. What is an issue is that Kermie is a horrible DJ. He has no musical sensibility whatsoever and often makes line dancing less fun by talking through songs and remixing needlessly. Line dancing doesn't need a DJ, it needs a cue of songs people want to hear. Additionally freestyle lasts too long and kills the pacing of the night. If I wanted to dance like I was in a club I'd go to a club. I paid to country dance. Stampede has so much potential but until Kermie learns how to serve the dancers better it will never live up to it. read more

Me the wife and two friends went here and it was straight up awful. We paid cover got in, got the wrist bands. Then we decided to go elsewhere because it was dead and the security were creeps just staring at women. So we left and then after an hour we decided to go back because the wife wanted to dance. And we had one drink. Well I got back in, then they refused to let my wife in claiming she was drunk which SHE WAS NOT and she even walked in a straight line when asked . So I went I went to talk to security and they said she was drunk, and wouldn't give any viable reason. I asked for the manager and some dooche bag claiming he was the manager didn't care, and basically blew me off and I was being nice which was crazy. I asked for a cover refund since they had no viable reason and they refused and kept my money, shits wild like that. In a nutshell that place is horrendous and with terrible customer service. The security are creeps and treat people like ass. This company needs to fire all the security and get some with customer service or know how to run security especially when the people cooperate with them. Drinks are terrible and weak. I don't plan on going back, and people should read reviews before they go here. Other bars in Temecula are way more enjoyable than this place. Have a good day. read more

I wasn't the biggest fan of my time at stampede. Mostly because we had to stand in the pouring rain for 25 minutes while we waited to go inside (wouldn't let you under the cover outside) and then they searched you so aggressively it seemed unnecessary. Then there was a $10 per person cover charge. My friends and I got a drink and went right to the dance floor and then immediately dragged off because we had drinks in our hands. Whoops!? It was neat to watch the line dancing but I didn't even go back on the dance floor since everyone takes the dancing so seriously I would have gotten some looks for not knowing any of them lol. We rode the mechanical bull then we headed out! The bull felt like it was going so fast but watching the video back it was barely moving haha didn't even last 8 seconds, it was hard! I'm not impressed with Stampede. I've been going to Stampede for years and it's changed a lot. When I was younger Stampede was the Friday night hot spot. Used to be great music and overall just fun. Last night was lame. Stampede is known for its Country Nights. Out of the 4 hours my group was there, they played maybe 5 country songs. The dance floor was empty because no one knew the dances. When people did know the dances, you felt like a packed in sardine. A dress code used to be in place but now woman in particularly dress extremely trashy. Not all but for the most part it's just tits and ass along with horny guys all over the poorly dressed individuals. I'm all for wearing what makes you comfortable, however when you are wearing essentially just a thong and bra, it's gross. It's very very hot in that bar so I see why people don't want cloths on. Drinks are expensive as well. Almost $6 for a dr. Pepper and $8 for a beer. The alcohol I understand being pricey but the sodas or waters, no. Cover is $10 per person and I don't know when they did away with the military discount but it's not worth the drive anymore. Majority of the people who go to Stampede are Military or veterans. So taking away the discount really speaks volumes to me as the type of bar Stampede is becoming. They have "Country and Freedom" all over yet they can't even discount a cover charge for those who are giving them the "Freedom?" This isn't the first time I've been disappointed with Stampede. Last night was the final straw. I can go to a cheaper bar and get better service with a better experience than wasting my Friday Night on a trashy bar. I wont be going back. read more
