Cool place, cool staff. Went in on Saturday evening with a wedding party and had a great time!

$30-50 I have been going to stampede around 15 years. Came home to my small town and decided to reminisce on old times at our stopping grounds and it was the worst mistake we made. First the DJ played 3 country songs in the 3 hours we were there. Then after being there a while my sister was kicked off the dance floor by the rude DJ because she did not know that drinks weren't allowed on the dance floor anymore. After the incident with the DJ, my sister was then attacked by the female security guard with the pink hair, bad attitude and black lipstick. She kicked her out because she brought my drink on to the dance floor not knowing it was not allowed anymore. The female security that approached her had an aggressive attacking manor and had open with scissors in her hands to cut her band off and also tried to forcefully grab her wrist to cut the bracelet off. She gave absolutely No explanation just straight force and that is not okay. Instead of kicking people out for a minor mistake like a open drink on the floor, you should probably have your power trip female security go into the bathroom and kick out the 18 year olds doing hard drugs off their bathroom counter. The only nice people still working at this establishment are the gentlemen behind the main front bar and the gentlemen with the dark and red beard. Do better management. Don't go here unless you liked to be attacked by the rude miserable pink haired female security guard and the up tight Dj. read more

I've been coming here for over a year and it feels that the DJing is getting worse and worse. DJ Kermie always has Long gaps and pauses between songs because he is on the dance floor or even better...chatting with friends at the bar. You have a job to keep the energy up and the dance floor packed and dead silence for 20 seconds in between songs really kills the vibe. Partner dancing music is getting worse as well, he is choosing only lyrical style songs, super slow songs, and ones with little to no obvious beat. Most of us are here to dance with friends not find a lover on the dance floor. Would love to have some of the other DJs hit the stage at least once a weekend in the later sets (after 9pm) for a change. It's not really worth the drive from North County these days. read more

Wanted this place to be fun but it was a big let down. The bull was fun and the lady in the gift shop was sweet but the guys at the door were rude and just not that friendly. There was definitely no country hospitality you expect from a place like this. I've been to lots of country bars all over the US. They need to FIX THE AC AND FANS!Without air in summer this place should not be open, it's too hot and unhealthy. Tonight was a big event, the DJ's birthday with an extra big crowd and it was sweltering. When we asked staff about the AC, they each had the same response - blank look and saying it's already on - denial. Hello, it's a heat wave and Temecula is a desert. It's unacceptable not to have AC or at least fans moving the air! I was drenched with sweat after dancing for just a little while. The dancers were fanning themselves and getting tons of water. There are elderly people who come every week and don't do well with these conditions. If you care about your customers at all, please stop pretending it's fine and spend the $ needed to get an HVAC system from this century. This place sucks. Went there for the country line dance lessons and got two in three hours. Then they proceeded to play NO real country music. It's like a techno dance club. I finally went here on a random night out and it was actually fun ! They have a huge dance floor. The music was good they had a mix of genres not just country music, but most songs had a line dance ! They give classes. $10 cover charge. They have a mechanical Bull in the middle of the bar. The ac needed some work but had a good time. read more

PLEASE FIX THE AC! I am here every week. As much as I love a sauna, I don't wanna dance in one. Country music is played earlier in the night and is usually catered to the "regulars" and the older crowd. The younger crowd comes in and the music changes to pop. Some partner dancing is thrown in between and at strategic times. DJ is very friendly and goes out of his way to walk around and greet people when things are slow. There is a white board up for requests. He gets a ton. He plays what he thinks will please the most ppl at once. Instructors are on Friday and Saturday nights. They don't teach at a specific time, but teach between 7 and 9pm. Instructors that frequently teach are AnneMarie (wordinmotion), Gabrielle Tenney, Tony Daly, Nita Bowers, and Philip Ongert. All are friendly and try to mingle with the crowd. Bartenders and security are all doing their jobs. Don't show up drunk, and don't get too drunk while you're there. You'll get kicked out or denied entry. You get patted down at the door and wanded. Your bags will be searched. You get a wristband when you come in. Don't take it off. The lockers aren't working and need to be fixed. There's no where to put your purse. I'm constantly worried someone is going to steal my bag. Can't say much for the food. Sorry, Stampede. It's bad. Bathrooms are clean. Needs some updating though. One hand dryer is broken. They have a mechanical bull, pool tables, some games near the front of the bar. Never touched those so I can't review them. If you see a fan sitting on a table, don't take it. Someone brought it from home. It doesn't belong to the bar. Three stars is for the broken AC, lockers, hand dryer and bad food. The girls and I stumbled across this place for our GNO. This was my first ever experience doing line dancing. Let me tell you, I did not know jack sh**t on what to do, but I had the BEST time watching others dance to a billion songs. That was amazing to see that each song had its own dance! Everyone was very friendly and nice here! It was also my first time riding the mechanical bull- I slipped off so fast, these denim pants I was wearing did not do me justice at all. A ton of laughter with my girls of how increadily bonkers we looked like trying to hang on for dear life. I don't think my feet cramped up as hard as it did trying to hang onto that bull. I am somewhat of a regular at stampede, though my friends and I had a terrible experience. Not sure if it was an unfortunate coincidence... Driving from San Diego, we were all drinking energy drinks (monsters and a bucked-up) in the parking lot before getting in line. A security guard parked next to us. We didn't think anything of it. We waited an hour to get in, per usual. Then when we got to the very front at the metal detectors we were denied entry for "underaged drinking" by the woman who parked next to us. We were shocked and asked if they had breathalyzers to prove. Only 3 of the 5 of us in the car were denied entry. Obviously singled out. You would think if they were to deny entry, they would deny all of us... and that they would have proof. There was no proof of anything. Only a minor suspicion. If she were certain enough to accuse us of drinking underaged, she should have been certain of who was in the car, drinking energy drinks. The decent thing to do would have been to approach us in the parking lot to clear the confusion. But no, she allowed us to wait in the long line only to send a few of us back home. Very disappointed in their customer service and how they treat people. This security guard was on a power trip no question. She seemed satisfied as well. Would not recommend this place to people who drink canned energy drinks, or any other drink that could come in a can :( read more

It's a great time and a fun place to linedance. HOWEVER I have a problem with the outside bartender named Adam. He's rude and yelled at my friend's face because she took a sip of water. He then proceeded to kick her and the friend that shared the water with her out. The security themselves didn't think it was a valid reason to do that to them. Adam needs to be disciplined and/or fired. This is not the only issue I've had with Adam but this one sent me off the edge. Otherwise, I love the place. read more

This place is a freaking blast for anyone who likes country, line dancing, or just a good time. There was a period of time where we couldn't reach anyone here and Yelp didn't notate any closures and they ended up being closed for a few weeks for renovations. They normally open around 6pm, and there is a cover. They do have specific dress code requirements so make sure you don't look like a bum. They have a bull that you can ride, and several bars. We have gone to the Temecula Stampede for about 6/7 years now. We always enjoy our time there and it is one of our favorite places to be. There have been many changes to Stampede since we've started going and we don't have any complaints! DJ Kermie is the best and always is kind and welcoming anytime we see him. We also have the BEST bartender, Danielle. She's super fun, makes great drinks and makes our time there so much better. Everyone should go to Danielle for their drinks FOR SURE. From the outset, Adam was unfriendly and dismissive. The moment that truly stood out was when I simply asked for a glass of water. I even apologized for the small request, but Adam responded with a negative attitude, making me feel like a nuisance for such a basic request. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was shocking. It's a shame because the food was decent and the dancing was great, but the bartender's attitude ruined the entire experience. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but consistent rudeness and lack of basic customer service are unacceptable. I won't be returning to Stampede for drinks and cannot recommend it to others until they address this bartender. A simple request for water shouldn't be met with disdain, and customers deserve to be treated with respect. I just got home from my first time at stampede. I never write reviews, I came here to write one and I'm shocked how many bad reviews there are not thing have not been done to improve and listen to the patrons. The music was the WORST I've ever heard. I can't count how many country bars I've been into in my life and this bar is first place for the worst music and DJ. Seeing how many other people took their time to say the same and it hasn't been addressed is very upsetting. Knowing that people voices haven't been heard there's a high chance my friends and I will not be going back. We want county music!! If we wanted another genre we would go somewhere else. Huge assumption by staff about alcohol levels. I went to the bathroom and literally just went pee then was kicked out without discussion. There was no talking about it, they decided I needed to leave and that was it. I had one beer, I wasn't even allowed to tell my party that I was being told to leave, they simply decided for me and that was that. I am obviously sober right now...at a neighboring restaurant. If you're looking for a laid back place, look elsewhere. There is a policy that you can not stand under the ramada above the entrance for their metal detection wand search. This means that if it's pouring rain they still want you to open up your purse to show them your belongings and stand spread eagle in the rain. The staff members kindly informed me this was the policy so I don't fault them but I don't think this is in the best interest of customer service. Definitely no such thing as southern hospitality here, if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. It was pretty funny everyone was a really good dancer I don't understand the new way of line dancing, but ...... to each their own. There's a lot of spending going on, and very high energy. We had an amazing time celebrating a 40th birthday. Everyone was so professional, kind and accommodating. The food was good and the dancing was really awesome. We were there really early to miss the "younger" crowd, which turned out to be perfect. There was a line dancing instructor who was really engaging. We had 3 party goers who took a ride on the bull. Our male rider didn't make it through, but our birthday girl and another 40+ female rider both stayed on the whole ride. Cowgirl Power baby! I highly recommend The Stampede for a great night out. If you're looking for a good time this is not the place. If you appreciate real country music and line dancing/2 stepping then don't come here. All they play is clubby music that means nothing to the country music. It is disappointing to see how low this place has stooped. I will never come back to this bar after how much club style music they played. Also the service was terrible and no one can answer the questions about the rhyme or reason of the order of songs. Again I used to enjoy coming here but I will never come back again based on the musics they're playing and how bad the music is. Apparently Morgan and her staff get a kick out of removing people from their premises. They speculate that women have been throwing up In the restroom which is complete harassment because they can't prove people were actually in the restroom throwing up, when you call them out on speculation they claim they say " I saw you stumble. I saw this happen to an innocent girl and I saw them remove about 3 girls and 0 males this sounds like unresolved female issues or perhaps male issues if they are handling their problems with male approval. The place is great, good vibes, big dance floor. I would say I'm a regular and it's worth the long drive but they really need to do something about Dj Kermie. He is constantly drunk while working, there is several minutes of dead air between songs, hip hop hour lasts way too long for no reason with sometimes a literal empty center floor. I appreciate the experimenting of new songs to line dancing but maybe don't try mixing them for the first time with a full dance floor and throwing everyone off when he messes it up. Everyone knows it always hot but if you have to fix one thing, fix the DJ and everyone won't care that is so hot cause they will actually be enjoying themselves. It's a Saturday night, keep it up beat, sprinkle in slow songs a little but not 4 in a row cause it's a bummer. A group of 11 of us, visiting from Florida, went this past Saturday. It was not even 6:00 and they wanted to charge a $10 cover pp. The place was empty. We just wanted to go in and grab a drink, 'check the box' since some of our group was retired military and had been told it was military friendly. The guys out front, particularly the supposed manager, were unnecessarily rude. He later made a snarky comment that ALL the workers were military. Really? I understand if I was intoxicated to cut me short, but I was well sober and I think they thought I was not and they were trying to take advantage of me. But I was well aware of what they were doing. WHAT A VERY PLEASANT DISCOVERY!!! Temecula Stampede has FAMILY DAY every Sunday!!! We did not know what we were going to see. The BBQ Catering Truck was the only reason we decided to check it out. We wanted to try the $25 unlimited BBQ plate. We walked in to a FREE Line-Dance lesson with Philip Victor and it was awesome to watch patrons participating! We first went out to the patio for the BBQ then walked back inside to watch he line-dance. The experience was so great I made a live video on FB to my group who are line-dance enthusiasts and barbeque foodies. Hopefully, Temecula Stampede will make the food truck a regular, especially the line-dance instructor, Philip Victor. read more

This place claims to be a country bar but it is not a country bar. It probably holds over 1000 people at $10 a head for entry, but they are too cheap to hire bands. They have a DJ who plays all kinds of music and mostly not country. The staff seemed nice, but I would not go back. I prefer a county bar that plays country music, not a club that calls itself a country bar. Not sure how this place keeps going with so many bad reviews that say very similar things. read more
