As I was searching to try a new hobby, I've came across this place due to the pricing only being $6.50 per hour for 2 players. And boy is that cheap, 2 hours of pool plus craft beer on tap at the bar is only $20. Safe to say as first-timers, we have found a new hobby and have been going once a week ever since then. You really can't go wrong with this place, from pool, to drinks, and to the great people, music, and atmosphere; I highly recommend this place from newbie to experience, you will be welcome no matter what. read more

Awesome place to play pool & grab a couple drinks! Not only are there a huge selection of pool tables but the selection for beer/ other drinks itself is large. It's more of a serve yourself by going up to the bar but once getting there everyone is attentive & helpful when deciding what beer you're wanting to try out. Update: I am upgrading rating to 4 stars after calming down a bit.. bartender was super busy and I'd be annoyed too. All good. From what I can tell, place looks good but doesn't deserve the same rating as O' Billiards, which is my favorite from this San Diego trip. I first tried to ask the main bartender where the line was for balls as it was not obvious and she said something short I could not understand and walked away so I asked another patron who said they got a table after waiting an hour. So I asked another guy working there if they could move it up. At first the two guys working at the bar looked optimistic and said they had to ask the main bartender (same one from beginning). She looks at me and says a stern no, waiving her finger at me. I was not a fan of that transaction or that bartender behind it. The tables looked nice and there was decent room between them. I would probably give it 5 stars if able to play but could not so minus 1 star and then that bartender and her attitude, minus another star. This is my favorite pool hall in town. There's plenty of quality pool tables and pool cues, and it doesn't feel super crowded, since there's so much space. The rates are very reasonable, and there's an assortment of drinks and food on the menu. The pizza is tasty. Service is friendly, and the pool hall is clean. I haven't had a night out in a pool hall in a long time but some friends had tried this place once and enjoyed it so off we went! It's a bit of a strange location to find off in some commercial space in Kearny Mesa but GPS will get you close enough and you'll find it. It's basically a gussied up garage but you know, I like the feel. It just feels like you're in a buddy's garage chewin' the fat and shootin' some pool. Prices are reasonable for the table time. Most of the tables are the smaller bar sized tables but I noticed two larger ones in the corner. Not sure if they were 8 or 9 footers but they were available. Everything's laid out with the appropriate amount of space and the house cues were all in decent shape so you know they're at least maintaining their equipment. The bar staff was super friendly with recommendations. We got a pizza to share which was better than what you'd expect from a pool hall pizza so that was a plus. As a pool hall, I can't judge because I am terrible at pool. They do keep the pool hall very clean. Coworkers and I came here to check it out. We arrived during its lull hours when no ones there and the roombas were busy. They have a small selection of beers on tap but they cover basic San Diego beer culture so you won't feel like you're missing out. As a Filipino, I am very happy that they have Spam & Eggs on the menu. The spam was cute into bite sized pieces and the eggs were done with runny yolks. The rice was seasoned with furikake. For $7 and a beer, I was in heaven. Even though I was losing terribly, I felt like a winner with every bite. When the hall does pick up, the patrons are all very friendly. The music selection also transcends various eras and genres. They have songs for young, wild, professionals like me and songs for tamer people and even older people. It was a fun place to kill time with some cool people. Also, it's in the same building as the VCA center and the entrance is pretty incognito.
