My fiance and I were in Lafayette for a food vacation and he wanted some fried catfish and this was the place! We each got a half serving of catfish and shrimp. The catfish was great and we wish we had more. The shrimp was good as well. I liked the Cajun dipping sauce they had. The place has hot pork rinds ready for you as you sit which my fiance was so pleased about. I got the happy hour margarita which was pretty weak but I will not complain for all day $5 margaritas. My fiance got a dark liquor drink with fresh berries which was strong and good. I got the sweet potato fries with my order which were great. My fiance felt his regular fries were a bit too salty for his liking. Our server was perfect- fast and attentive but not bothersome.

The place was crowded so it was very hot inside but thankfully it was a nice breezy evening so we sat outside and were comfortable. The boiled crawfish were delicious and the grilled shrimp salad and fried fish bites were perfectly seasoned and just the right serving size! The service was fast friendly & efficient. We arrived at 5PM on a Tuesday and there was plenty of seating. We were given pork rinds as we sat down. We split Alligator Bites, a Fried Crawfish Po boy and Pain Perdu for dessert. Everything was delicious!

Great little local Cajun place. It's pretty hard to get to if you're coming into town. The place wasn't very busy on a Saturday around lunch. The service was great though. The food was pretty solid and enjoyed every bit of it. I ordered the knuckle sandwich (which originally has chicken on it), but I asked the waitress if I could have alligator bites on it instead of chicken. I didn't think they'd be able to accommodate, but boy did they ever! They delivered on that request and I'm glad they did, because it was very good with alligator. They should just replace it with alligator and not even do the chicken, but that's my opinion. Other than the place needing to be a little bit cleaner, overall great place to stop in for lunch.

We visited the Cajun Table on Saturday. Nonc was our waiter. He was attentive and answered all My questions and gave some suggestions. I ordered the shrimp wrap and my husband got a shrimp poboy. All our food came out perfect. It was delicious. My husband paid with his credit card and unbeknownst to him forgot it inside the receipt book. We realized Tuesday that this was the last place he used it. I called and they had our card. I came in today and picked it up. Not only great food, great service but honest and trustworthy business and people. We will be back.

Can I give this place 10 stars? Everything was great! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place was cute and clean. The bar menu was varied. My Jolie Blonde packed a delicious punch. My salad was fresh. The crawfish was late season but boiled so well. The flavors were just in perfect balance. The shrimp was fried in cornmeal. It was delicious as were the jalapeño hush puppies. The Pain Perdue for dessert was out of this world.

Restaurant was amazing. Serving staff was two people short and the staff did a stellar job with the crowd. Always a good sign when a parking lot is full. Food was great and didn't leave hungry!

Convenient location for a sweet little Cajun restaurant. Our server Autumn was awesome with recommendations on the burger and the seafood platter is awesome.

Photos just don't do justice to the plate! The cabbage was crunchy and seasoned to perfection, the black eye peas had that season flair and the plate lunch of ribs and sausage.....slap your Momma good. Truly lives up to the name. On a Tuesday Night! While driving to my hotel I saw the shrimp logo the words were small but I was like " Cajun" let's check it out. Hostess was sweet and sat us quickly. I had "Nonkys Fonky Potatoes" for appetizers that was so good definitely recommend !!! My dad ordered the Buffalo shrimp wrap and we shared the gulf shrimp. Just us 2 we devoured everything.. but secondly I want to shoutout our server named "Kinsy" My apologies if I spelled it wrong. But she was excellent and super kind. Not being from Lafayette, we came across a lot of mean and rude servers kinda of ruined the Lousiana experience for us. That was until we came here. We would come back just for her service so please do give her recognition. read more

I have been hearing about this place for some time now and finally made a visit with my wife and two kids. The food was amazing just like we would have cooked at home restaurant was full but food came out fast. 6 year old and 14 year old ate burgers and wife got catfish plate I got seafood platter. The Cajun nachos where freaking Awsome highly recommend this place servers where amazing and food was Awsome great atmosphere highly recommend read more

Oh my goodness. We came in on a Tuesday night and it was packed. Louisiana Jeep Association was there, loud and rowdy. It was so cool. Grabbed a beer and found one table (surprisingly!) We started with the 'loaded logan' as our appetizer...it was just ridiculous in the best possible way. Runny fried egg on top of little sliders of oh-so-yummy barbecued sausage links and awesome bread... really incredible. We moved on to our entrees, Hubs got the 1/2 catfish poboy (um, HUGE..whole filet!) and I got a 1/2 Pirogue poboy. Both came with seasoned fries. He said it was really good. But yeah, you want what I had, lol. It's sooo amazing. Basically perfectly fried shrimp with crawfish "sauce", (I'd call it etouffe' without the rice) on top of it.. Lord have mercy. The Cajun Table is quite memorable!! We brought home leftovers and it was still great. We will most definitely return!! read more

I'm glad we finally got to try it out. Food was great! My daughter and I loved it. Texted my wife the drink menu and I think we're going to be doing an adult night there lol. It's has a warm and friendly atmosphere that you can just let loose. Menu looks expensive but an order is enough for two. Definitely recommend!!!! read more

We are from San Diego and wanted some authentic Louisiana cuisine. Cajun Table did not disappoint! We had(as a family) the alligator bites, seafood platter, gumbo and crawfish etouffe. All of it was delicious and Kelsea the waitress was awesome. A+ for sure! read more

Hands down this was the best plate lunch I've had in Lafayette. By the time I arrived in Louisiana (after 2pm) all of the places I frequent were closed. I was craving a plate lunch from my hometown and after a few searches I came across this place. The staff was friendly, and made me feel right @home. The food was served hot, seasoned just right, and the portion was so big I was able to eat off of it twice! I had the country style ribs and fresh sausage w/ cabbage, black eyed peas, a slice of cake, a slice of bread, and rice & gravy. I ate every bite! I'll def be back when I visit my hometown again. read more

This is a must try for local fare and a great environment. The prices are reasonable and the portions are ginormous. They even custom prepared a kids crawfish plate. I had the Pirogue Sandwich, wife had the Shrimp Salad, and kids had a burger and crawfish. We will be back. read more

We had a late lunch here. My wife had crawfish bisque, I had the chicken and sausage gumbo, and we split a Progue Party Po-Boy. Everything was great. Well seasoned with just a little bite, but not hot. VERY friendly service! We were greeted promptly, and treated as if we were loyal customers. Sorry we're from out of town. Went here for lunch and was promptly greeted with free yummy pork rinds. There are tempting weekly lunch specials but I was craving for a grilled shrimp salad. Unfortunately it wasn't on the menu but the waitress was very kind to customize another menu item so that I got what I wanted. Very good food and very friendly staff!! read more

I sat at bar and ordered a beer which was not cold at all. Tyler offered everyone fried pork rinds, but it was not offered with my beer. I ordered the gumbo and crawfish nachos to go. 30 minutes later- nothing. Service was slow. She said they had to make more gumbo. Person arriving 15 minutes after me got her gumbo and I was still waiting. Service were horrible. I cancelled my order and dined at Burger King. Will not be returning. read more

I hope this is a little secret that makes it big!! Sandwiches, poboys, bar, crawfish, crabs, plate lunches/suppers. Great service, great food. They use their own seasoning, batter, and sauce. All great. And the best of all.... local. Specialties: beignet sticks, so good. And my first meal was the Pirogue Party. Fried shrimp Poboy with Maw's crawfish dip( Étouffée sauce). Took the Poboy to the next level. Please go try, please share. Bonus: because they are next to W&C Hospital, they give a 10% discount if you show up in scrubs. Can not wait to try the plate lunches. Our family went tonight and were so glad they were open on New Year's Day! We had quite a wait but they were pretty busy - maybe because of the holiday, maybe because everybody was wanting crawfish at the beginning of the new season or maybe just because they're very popular. We got a pager and waited patiently ... an estimated half-an-hour turned into about an hour. Thank goodness for their new dining area located next to the original smaller bar space, because both were as full as they could be. Well, as much as they could be with COVID restrictions in place. The staff was great - they patiently answered questions and seemed to be on it in regards to the seating and wait list. Our waitress, Caroline, was super sweet and took her time with us, making sure we continually had what we needed. She chit-chatted with us and made sure that we didn't feel rushed. The food was delicious! The crawfish had great flavor, were easy to peel and were juicy. My son's crawfish po'boy was overflowing with fried crawfish tails, which was a welcome surprise - they filled the po'boy halves, then covered his plate! They were delicate and beautiful, not overbreaded or overcooked. My husband and younger son each had burgers, which were both very good. We'd been in one other time, about a year ago, and liked it then - but I think the food has gotten even better since. We will be going back for sure! Thank y'all for the great experience! read more

This place is unreal. Great Great Food. Great Margaritas. Number one on my list. We are from San Antonio Texas and are down here for a Pony League World Series. Our waiter Drew, took great care of us. Two for one happy hour 3-6. Definitely the best food we have had in Louisiana. Definitely planning a return visit. read more

Absolutely amazing. My waiter had some really great recommendations and I have told numerous people about the crawfish from here and how amazing it is. Though I do warn them to proceed with caution for anything other than the medium spice for the boiled crawfish lol. read more

This place must be awesome, because after driving into town off of I-10, found tables both inside and out packed with patrons shucking and munching on huge trays of crawfish. The aroma was quite overwhelming and we were really looking forward to enjoying some ourselves. To our dismay, we were met with an hour and a half wait for service. After driving for 6 hours and faced with one more hour after dinner, we had to opt for another choice. read more

We stopped in for lunch on Thursday and had the daily plate lunch of Chicken Stew. It as out of the park! Enormous amount of gravy, but it as perfect, no dry rice! The corn and fried okra complimented the meal. I would love to try it again in the future. The service was superb and personal...good job guys! read more

Owner refused to honor a legitimate gift certificate he had donated to a silent charity auction. Only through stern insistence and a call to the auction chairperson was it accepted. Very embarassing. Do not recommend dealing with these type of people who can't honor a donation to a charity and are so rude in handling a situation like this. read more

Wish I had found this place sooner!!! Service was amazing, huge portions of excellent food and great location!!! We had the Maws dip, crawfish poboy and the etouffee. We will have leftovers for days!!! They also have boiled crabs, crawfish and shrimp when in season. We week be back for crabs soon! read more

Walked in at 2:00 and was pretty quiet. Ordered an abuts amber and they brought me house made pork rinds. Ate too many before my daily special chicken stew was delivered with a side of corn, fried okra, brownie and I ordered potato salad as an extra. Chicken stew was a leg and thigh smothered in a spicy dark gravy. Okra and tater salad were very good. Staff was very friendly. read more

My daughter and I went to The Cajun Table for some authentic Cajun food, and we weren't disappointed. We had the fried pickles and split the crawfish étouffée. Both the appetizer and the entree were generously portioned and had great flavors. I will definitely eat here again next time I am in Lafayette. read more

So I must say this place sucks. I put in my order for crawfish at 5:25 PM I was told be ready in 25 minutes. I arrive 5 minutes later and i get in line to pay for order. I wait 30 minutes told my order isn't ready yet and I go ahead and pay and proceed to wail. come back 30 minutes later and am told still not ready it would be another 10 minutes. No they lied again she comes back after I been waiting 2 freaking hours to tell me whoever took my order put it in for an *.00 PM pickup even though she told me 25 minutes am I really supposed to believe that? Then all I get is an apology from a worker? I should have gotten a sincere apology from a manager. Its like they didn't even care that much that i waited over 2 hours. Then get home and was sadly disappointed in the crawfish half of them weren't edible they were so tiny they weren't even small size well maybe a hand full were small the rest were tiny. I been to LT's and Crawfish Boss and they were large. They really messed up I spend several thousand dollars during crawfish season I buy once a week throughout the entire season. I never miss a week. Trust me when I say I WILL NEVER BE BACK EVER. And I will no longer recommend this place to anyone.
