I came with two buds of mine to celebrate one of their birthdays. We sat at the bar and the two bartenders helping us were super chill and friendly. We had an amazing conversation and they made us some amazing drinks. I ended up ordering a bayou mermaid and knuckle sandwich. In Lafayette for business, thought I'd give this place a try. Ordered the crawfish etouffee, which comes with a side salad. While I waited, the bartender was very friendly even though she was extremely busy. Offered complementary pork rinds, that were very tasty. Here's my reason for grading at 4 stars. In my opinion, the salad should come out prior to the hot plate. That wasn't the case tonight with the salad and etouffee showed up at the same time. As this was my first experience here, I asked about a local (LA) beer that I've had, Ragin Cajun. It's not something they carry, but have beer signs promoting it. Go figure. All in all, food was very good, seasoning was a bit light but had a shaker of seasoning right on the table. The server at the bar remained busy all evening, and never missed asking if I was doing OK. The food was not for me. One dish was so spicy we couldn't eat it. I like food with a kick but this was over the top. The containers leaked during delivery and I received a mess on my doorstep. Overall, it was not my favorite but don't count it out because of my review. It might have been an off day. read more

Super fresh! Met the owner, the farmer who raises the crawfish and anyone who says this isn't real deal Cajun is a fool! Legit as it gets! I will warn folks who haven't been, the spicy is spicy and remember each order is cooked to order so it may take a little longer but very much worth the wait. Last night I was at Cajun Table Restaurant .. It was busy I place an to go order me and my Daughter this employee at Cajun Table offer us a drink and he said it was on him... Ok mind you that my order was to go and not eat in.. He's bagging up my order right then he tells me that he's gonna be right back he's going to get me and my daughter soda I'm thinking this guy is going to go get my drinks from the back because we sitting at the bar waiting for our food but anyway he's taking customers leftover drinks and pouring them in my in to go cups and giving them to me and my daughter and he's asking us if he did anything wrong ... Mind you this is a White Guy and we are Black people waiting for our food at Cajun Table restaurant in Lafayette and he's giving us customers left over drinks ... Most places give you bread while you wait, this place gives you house made pork rinds and, as weird as that sounds, they're really good. I judge a Cajun place by the gumbo and while this one isn't my favorite it's still pretty good. The crab fingers were good and the drinks were very good. the drinks also have funny Cajun names. I think the old fashioned was called the Whisky River, anyway it was tasty. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items. It's sad that we don't have more Cajun restaurants in Lafayette with all the chains we have now. Please give them a try support this business. read more

Excellent customer service and great food!!! I stopped by for a late dinner and wasn't sure what I wanted. I'm sure glad I ordered the nachos! They were great! The tortilla chips were cooked perfectly and were very fresh. You can tell they aren't store bought chips that's for sure. The cheese sauce and fried crawfish tails were great as well. Overall the flavor was on point and the dish was hot and fresh! We also tried the shrimp and bacon wrap and it was really good. My only complaint was the tortilla it was wrapped in, it was a tad stale, but overall it was a great wrap. The shrimp were cooked well and it had great flavor. I have been here before during crawfish season and you can't beat their crawfish boil. The prices are very reasonable and all the food is fresh. I just wish they would have beer on tap. The atmosphere is authentic and comfortable. The food was above average. Our food trickled out to the table instead of being served at one time. This is elementary and should never happen. This restaurant is small and quant but the food is huge on flavor! A lot of restaurants serve you chips or bread but this one is different.....pork rinds! They are flavorful but not spicy. The menu includes burgers, wraps, and a daily lunch plate to include a dessert. They have a bar and the neatest shelves for the alcohol displayed.... A John boat! We found this place on Yelp and decided to catch Uber to the restaurant. It's located in a strip mall near Hallmark and Dollar Tree. The cute red umbrellas outside caught our eye. The decor in the restaurant a true to all things Louisiana! We were greeted with a warm welcome and smile and were seated. While we browsed the menu, the waitress brought over some warm, seasoned pork skins. I haven't had pork skins in years but could not resist after my husband said how good they were and he was right!!! While We waited for our lunch we enjoyed listened to the zydeco music! Our salads came out first and we're very fresh. Next was our lunch. My husband ordered the fried catfish and shrimp which comes with a house salad and fries. The catfish was crispy and seasoned very well and the shrimp was fried and seasoned to perfection. I ordered a half shrimp poboy which came with a special Crawfish sauce... OMG.. you MUST try it! I could have eaten the sauce by itself! The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was spotless! They pride themselves in making everyone feel like family and we certainly felt like we were. Nice people. Ample, easy parking. A very pleasant owner who loves what she does and wants everyone...staff and customers...to be happy. Lots of menu choices, good food, which includes shrimp and crawfish, and generous portions. I love the fruited ice teas, which are available sweetened or unsweetened in many flavors. They are made with purees and are absolutely the best I've ever had. I believe the purees are also used in some of the mixed drinks. We had to wait almost an hour because we visited during Lent and they were serving Crawfish. But it was worth it. My fried catfish was golden brown and seasoned to perfection. My wife who cannot tolerate spicy food found a po-boy that she loved and did not burn her mouth. My son's fried shrimp was delicious. The waiter came by frequently, but did not pester us. We came to eat crawfish during crawfish season. They were tiny but tasted pretty good. The wait staff was very nice! The bar was great, but the actual seating was not the best.
