Shrimp 16oz Seafood Boil Bag *Spicy*
Daniel T.

At first, I was a little worried when I walked into Cajun Table and saw they only had about five customers. But those worries disappeared as soon as the shrimp boil hit the table! The shrimp boil was way beyond what I had in mind. Everything was flavorful, spicy, and absolutely delicious. They also gave me a sauce to dip the shrimp in, which was the perfect way to cool down some of the heat from the spice. That sauce was a great touch! If I had one suggestion, it would be to give out some wet naps because this is definitely the kind of meal you're going to get messy eating but honestly, that's part of the fun.

15lbs crawfish(side view)

Food:10/10 Service:10/10 Ambience:8/10 We came on a busy Sunday night. The wait time was about 1 hour, but it was well worth the wait! Our server Sarah seated us and we ordered 15 pounds of crawfish. She also provided recommendations. The interior was unique with lots of pictures of crawfish. Lively music was playing in the background. The crawfish was fresh and juicy, I ate 4 pounds myself. We also ordered the nachos, which came with fried crawfish, jalapeños, and queso. The nachos were delicious and full of flavor. Overall the food and service was great even though the place was busy and slightly understaffed. If I'm ever around this place again, I'm definitely coming back.

Half Catfish & Half Shrimp Platter

My fiance and I were in Lafayette for a food vacation and he wanted some fried catfish and this was the place! We each got a half serving of catfish and shrimp. The catfish was great and we wish we had more. The shrimp was good as well. I liked the Cajun dipping sauce they had. The place has hot pork rinds ready for you as you sit which my fiance was so pleased about. I got the happy hour margarita which was pretty weak but I will not complain for all day $5 margaritas. My fiance got a dark liquor drink with fresh berries which was strong and good. I got the sweet potato fries with my order which were great. My fiance felt his regular fries were a bit too salty for his liking. Our server was perfect- fast and attentive but not bothersome.

Knuckle Sandwich (but with alligator)
Brandon L.

Great little local Cajun place. It's pretty hard to get to if you're coming into town. The place wasn't very busy on a Saturday around lunch. The service was great though. The food was pretty solid and enjoyed every bit of it. I ordered the knuckle sandwich (which originally has chicken on it), but I asked the waitress if I could have alligator bites on it instead of chicken. I didn't think they'd be able to accommodate, but boy did they ever! They delivered on that request and I'm glad they did, because it was very good with alligator. They should just replace it with alligator and not even do the chicken, but that's my opinion. Other than the place needing to be a little bit cleaner, overall great place to stop in for lunch.

5lb Boiled Crawfish
Stacy E.

The place was crowded so it was very hot inside but thankfully it was a nice breezy evening so we sat outside and were comfortable. The boiled crawfish were delicious and the grilled shrimp salad and fried fish bites were perfectly seasoned and just the right serving size! The service was fast friendly & efficient. Yes, I recommend this place! Cheers!

Pain Perdu

We arrived at 5PM on a Tuesday and there was plenty of seating. We were given pork rinds as we sat down. We split Alligator Bites, a Fried Crawfish Po boy and Pain Perdu for dessert. Everything was delicious!

Anytime I visit Lafayette, The Cajun Table is a must, especially during crawfish season. It is simply part of the tradition at this point. I came specifically for the crawfish and the Fish Out of Water appetizer, which I order every single time. That appetizer alone keeps me coming back. There is almost always a wait, so I typically head straight to the bar, settle in, and enjoy a cocktail while my table is being prepared. This visit I tried the Bayou Mermaid. It is sweeter than my usual drink preference, but it was surprisingly very good and well balanced. I believe my server's name was Haley, though I may be mistaken. Either way, she was attentive, pleasant, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The crawfish were amazing as always, seasoned well and served hot. It is consistently worth the wait. If you are in Lafayette during crawfish season, The Cajun Table should absolutely be on your list.

Shrimp poboy and fries. Husband loves it. Loaded with cornmeal fried shrimp.

We visited the Cajun Table on Saturday. Nonc was our waiter. He was attentive and answered all My questions and gave some suggestions. I ordered the shrimp wrap and my husband got a shrimp poboy. All our food came out perfect. It was delicious. My husband paid with his credit card and unbeknownst to him forgot it inside the receipt book. We realized Tuesday that this was the last place he used it. I called and they had our card. I came in today and picked it up. Not only great food, great service but honest and trustworthy business and people. We will be back.

Can I give this place 10 stars? Everything was great! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place was cute and clean. The bar menu was varied. My Jolie Blonde packed a delicious punch. My salad was fresh. The crawfish was late season but boiled so well. The flavors were just in perfect balance. The shrimp was fried in cornmeal. It was delicious as were the jalapeño hush puppies. The Pain Perdue for dessert was out of this world.

I usually never leave reviews but I'm absolutely disgusted. There was a bug in my food. Wash your produce better. Yuck.

This is a solid restaurant with a solid menu. It won't wow you but you won't leave disappointed either.

He recommended several local brews and food options, and somehow we ended up having one of those conversations that makes you feel like you've known someone longer than five minutes. We talked about traveling, different beers, Louisiana, Ohio, Atlanta, and everything in between. My favorite part of the conversation had to be hearing about the brewery owned by three Japanese women who live in Brazil. That's a story I definitely wasn't expecting when I sat down for a drink! As for the food, it was incredible. I had the seafood gumbo, which came loaded with a crab cluster and crawfish tails, and I also tried the blackened alligator. Both were amazing and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great, the beer selection was excellent, and the service made the whole experience even better. I genuinely can't wait to go back to The Chime! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. 6/5 from me!

The taste was still good! I ordered the seafood pasta too but wasn't fond of the fishy smell and taste. The sauce was thin and runny as well. The little French bread that comes with the meal is delicious and I'm not a bread eater! The packaging and service is very safe and clean! Yes, I recommend this place! Cheers!

It's a very social vibe, much better for friend/family gatherings than intimate dates. The service was good. Our server was thorough, answered questions, and was prompt. The food was fresh and good. I ordered the Zydeco salad. I feel that all the ingredients weren't necessarily there, like the candied pecans and bell peppers. Everything else seemed present, and the pepperjelly sauce was yummy, although I do feel like it's missing a separate dressing. I don't think the pepperjelly ties it all together as the sole dressing. My brother and his girlfriend ordered voodoo shrimp and grits as well as the Louisiana platter. I took a couple bites of theirs, and it was delicious! Everything was fresh and the perfect texture, nothing fried too hard! The zydeco voodoo shrimp and grits could definitely be plated better or have some kind of garnish, but the taste was good! I found the prices to be reasonable as well!

It took the waitress five minutes just to get to our table and another ten minutes to place the order. When the food did arrive, she initially forgot to give us utensils and by the end of the meal, wasted no time in handing us the check without bothering to ask us if we wanted anything else. At first I thought she was just having an off day, but when her friends came in, she made sure to immediately place an order for them. It also should be noted that the seats are low and uncomfortable so I don't recommend dining here if you are wheelchair-bound. All that said, the food at Fat Pat's was exceptional --from the well-seasoned crispy onion rings to the homemade queso dip. I also really loved the loaded nachos as it was laced with savory hamburger meat and not the grainy taco meat that usually ruins a proper nacho dish. The fried pickles and boneless wings were also well-done and exactly what you would expect from a greasy spoon. I was expecting more of a restaurant and less of a bar but this particular location is essentially a bar that serves decent food. 5/10 decent quality food but I probably wouldn't return!
