Came to Pincher's for mother's day with no reservation and they were able to seat us on the patio which was fine because the weather was nice that day and also the way the building faces you're not in the sun until the afternoon. I would like to sit out there again in the evening in the cooler months. I got the choose 2 half shrimp poboy and seafood gumbo and they were both fantastic. The sauce they put on the poboy is what makes it. I get extra sauce. I've been here once before and got the same thing with the chicken & sausage gumbo and it is also good but the seafood is a little better. The potato salad is the best I've ever had, perfect for taking it for a swim in your gumbo (don't mix it). Mother in law said the burger was great. Kid enjoyed the chicken & waffles. We traveled from San Antonio Texas for the little league baseball World Series in Louisiana. We wanted to try some Louisiana Gumbo. Pinchers did not disappoint! Food was amazing! I first tried Pincher's at Patch at the Pond in Youngsville, as they were one of the food trucks at the event. After having their gumbo, I knew I had to get to the restaurant and try other dishes. I came here with my cousins for some dinner. We were seated immediately at a table and our waitress was super nice. This place is very spacious and clean. We took our time looking at the menu before ordering. We got some appetizers first, the cajun sushi, fried alligator and fried pickles. I really liked the cajun sushi. It was like having little bite sized ettoufee. The fried alligator was something new that I've never had before. The meat was kinda chewy and flavorless, but the breading on the outside was light, but crispy. The fried pickles were alright, I've had better. For my entree I got the half dozen of the blue point crab with corn. It was a lot of crab, but super satisfying and delicious. We all enjoyed our dinner here. read more

To the kitchen staff: There was literally a CAT HAIR in my fried mushrooms!!! No, I do not own any animals as I am allergic. This was a to go order and the bag was stapled shut - so it came from the kitchen. The fish was dry and the shrimp were rubbery. If I am paying $100 for a meal, I expect it to be $100 quality. I'm not sure what the issue was in the kitchen last night, hopefully it gets corrected. I can't see myself ordering again - which is upsetting because the quality was great in the past. read more

First thing we noticed was how clean the restaurant was. There is a bar & the drinks we had were very good. We ordered the crawfish wontons for an appetizer and they were exceptional! Some of the best we've had. They came with Steens syrup, which I found interesting, but it was paired really great together. The Dungeness crabs & potatoes were seasoned perfectly. Service was good!! Lemonade is good!! If you are going to offer fish in south Louisiana, don't import fish from Vietnam. Fish taco's would be great with locally caught red fish. The hamburger was dry and bland. The traditional shrimp were properly cooked but had zero seasoning. The place is clean and staff are friendly. It was good. Service was slow to get waited on. Improved slightly after that. Shrimp not deveined, and a tad overcooked as they were hard to peel. Not all but more than half. Fair price. There is no comparison to the competition just up the road in Lafayette on Johnston Street, just past Camelia and before Brentwood. I'll only say the competition's initials are DS. I have to brag about Pincher's! Went there for Bingo Night. I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo. When served, I had to ask if my order was correct. The cup of gumbo there is more like a bowl!! Plus, it was one of the best seafood gumbos I've had at a restaurant. The meal that I chose was the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. I had to bring that home cause the cup of gumbo filled me up. The pasta dish was fabulous and there were over 20 nice shrimp in it! I've eaten at Pincher's several times and it never disappoints. The service is top notch. Everyone there is so friendly. The restaurant itself is very clean and the esthetics add to the total experience. If you haven't been to Pincher's, you're missing out. They are open for lunch and dinner and have a drive-thru. They also have a bar and often have drink specials. It's a fun place to go and you can't beat the food!!! read more

Shrimp tacos were scarce on the shrimp & very poorly executed with a small amount of iceberg lettuce & shredded cheese. Boiled shrimp with "traditional" seasoning had ZERO flavor or spice. This is Louisiana--"traditional" should most definitely have flavor & some heat. Hamburger was the most sad, dry and underdressed burger I've seen in awhile. Very disappointing experience.
