I was walking around downtown, and it was way too hot, so I decided to check out The Churchill. It was my first time visiting since I'm from Vegas. I noticed a bar called The Brill Line and tried an Old Fashioned and a single malt since they had a few options. My Old Fashioned tasted great (I asked the bartender not to add simple or any sweetness), and he was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my drinks and thought it was really cool to check out the place!

Fantastic drink options. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super cool, and laid back. No pretentiousness here. Just good people doing great things.

This is the bartender that serves unlabeled so called liquor you never asked for. Beware

1/24/2025 first time here, I ordered 3 green teas, specifically asked for Jamison was not served. Jamison was instead served a bottle of unlabeled liquor, I mentioned to him that I asked for Jamison, he then showed me the unlabeled bottle he called a "mix", who knows what is in this. From the very beginning if he wasn't gonna serve me what I asked for he should've just said I cannot serve you what you're asking for instead of billing me and tipping his own self $7.17. I did not tip him, but it applied to my bill. I will contact liquor board. My bank, and Apple as I want a refund. This is not acceptable. Beware!

love going to the Churchill, this place is located on the left when you walk in the main entrance. i got Freddy's Lil Prick without the vodka making a delicious mocktail. it was tart and refreshing with a hint of sweetness, perfection. service was great and i liked the openness of the bar.

I've been here a couple of times. Brill Line Beer is one of many local businesses that operate inside the Churchill. It is nice to be able to order some food, then walk over here and grab a drink before sitting down. They have a nice selection of beers and cocktails to choice from. You can check out the Untappd app ahead of time to see what beers are on tap. The bartenders have always been attentive when I order something here. My big knock is the wall that separates the dining area and the bar area. It is a small space to stand and wait to order. It's also gets pretty crowded in front of the bar because of all the foot traffic trying to get through.

I'll take a line thrown by Brill Line any day. Counter was clean and all supplies were organized. This is more of a bar in an outdoor food court, so there isn't much to say about restaurant temperature, decor, or clientele. There is a lot of seating in the court and heated with lamps. Parking is metered and can be hard to find. The bartender was very friendly, easy to talk to, and skilled. We ordered several on tap beers and cocktails and all were pleasant to delicious. Cocktails had a beautiful presentation. Affordable, worth the price. Next visit, I'll explore more of the draft beers, there were close to 25 on their menu. Thank you Brill Line, can't wait to visit again.

Located in the hipster mecca of Phoenix...The Churchill. Am I a hipster nah, to old, but a wanted a cold beer to go with my hipster sandwich I got next door. They have about 20 beers on tap of different styles, maybe one for everyone. Mine was cold. It looks like they have other drinks also like whiskey, bourbon and cocktails. Service was quick enough for the middle of the day. Will I ever be back, never say never but im just passin' through. Last words...one and done!

The Churchill is a super cool, open-air place to get great food... but I would get your drinks at one of the other places in the venue, I don't think the bartender knew what they had behind the bar...or he was lazy...or stoned...when I walked up, I saw a row of cans of beer and I asked for a Modern Times Ale. He mumbled something about an IPA and I though, hmmm a Modern Times IPA, I'll go on his suggestion. He turned and poured me a draft from the line of unmarked spouts behind the bar. I was taken aback thinking the cans of beer represented the draft beers...I asked what he just poured me and he said "such n such IPA"...not anywhere near a Modern Times I asked for. I told him I gathered at some point during the transaction that I thought the cans represented the kegs...he seemed kinda confused at that point so I just went with it...and here we are... As some else had previously written "one and done". I will get my adult beverages from the other places here.

Cran Redbull, a great drink when you're not in the mood for alcohol
    Jaslyn S.

I give it a 4 stars because the bartenders weren't that attentive. It wasn't a busy night, but my friend and I still had to wait a few minutes to order our drinks... Other than that, the bartender was very friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol so I got a Cran Redbull.

Great spot in an awesome location! The ambiance was so chill! The drinks are AMAZING!! Michael was an awesome bartender! My spouse wanted the Arizona famous margarita and he made her an amazing prickly pear hibiscus margarita! She said it's SUPER delicious! Great customer service! Highly recommend!

I remember touring the administrative offices, the dining hall, the classrooms, the residence halls, and other random buildings, but the most memorable stop was The Pub, which was rooted in much Thunderbird tradition. Now, years later with a new building in place at ASU, I was delighted to learn that The Pub still exists but in a new space (on the fifth floor). I recently stopped by to see what it looked like and try one of their dishes. In the spirit of Thunderbird, at The Pub, it is said that "global flavors and local charm come together to create an unforgettable dining experience." This is a great place for a meal with co-workers, hosting a gathering for a special celebration, or having a low-key meal. I took a book and gave it a try on my own. The sides include chicken wings, chicken tenders, hummus snack plate, or various ways to prepare fries. They have soup, salad, flatbread, entree bowls, and many burgers and sandwiches. They also have all sorts of drink options (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It was national root beer float day (or something of the sort), so every burger came with a free root beer float. I jumped at that and got the Thunderbird Pub Burger (seasoned 6oz all beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, American Cheese, signature pub sauce Brioche Bun, served with Crispy French Fries). It was delicious!! In fact, it was better than delicious when paired with a free root beer float! They have regular hours of noon to 5 PM on weekdays (though they are open until 9 PM on Thursdays. They do have seasonal hours when they close early or entirely when classes are not in session. Happy hour specials are from 3-5 PM daily. While there are many great places to eat at ASU, I certainly recommend The Pub at Thunderbird.

One of the highlights was chatting with Dan, who has been bartending for eight years. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the brewing process and the brewery itself. It's clear he enjoys what he does and takes pride in sharing information with customers. I also learned that the brewery was founded by Megan Greenwood, and it's impressive to see how her vision has grown into a well-known local brewery. The brewing operation includes seven tanks, giving visitors a glimpse into the production side of the business. For anyone interested in seeing more behind the scenes, Greenwood Brewing does offer brewery tours. There isn't a set tour schedule, so it's best to ask staff about availability when you visit. One feature I thought was especially cool was the live Instagram follower counter displayed behind the bar. Watching the number update in real time was a fun and unique touch that added to the brewery's modern, community-focused atmosphere. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was engaging, and it was fun getting a closer look at the brewing process while enjoying quality craft beer. A great stop for both locals and visitors looking to support a Phoenix- Women owned brewery. The vibes are chill & semi-loud with music playing in the background. They have seating on both sides of the brewery, outside seating & local restaurants QR codes to order food from. IG: greenwood Brewing
