The food was good and service was fast, but I'm giving them 5 stars purely because of the baby changing station in their bathroom. I went in there, exhausted and weary, expecting to have to wrestle with a horrible broken folding table like most places have (if anything), and instead found an actual standalone changing table with a soft mattress, disposable potty pads, and even TOYS for babies to play with! It was such a shocking surprise that granted such relief that I actually cried (new mom hormones are wild, man). A HUGE THANK YOU to the owner/manager for this incredibly thoughtful addition! It may not seem like much, but it meant everything to this tired mama and her squirmy little dude. read more

Wow!...First time here and it did not disappoint. My wife had the French Dip, my mom had the Avocado BLT, and I had the Bacon & Blue Cheese burger... All were awesome! I guess my Yelp review surprisingly increased Danette's Brick Oven's business rapidly so, Danette wanted to gratefully thank me from the bottom of her heart for helping increasing her customers' patronizing her restaurant; however, my intention was truthfully reporting how insanely delicious Danette's Brick Oven creates their cuisine and also, remark the high quality libations served! Regardless, I still want to thank you so very much, Danette: Allowing my table receiving a complementary appetizer! My friends and I enjoyed every morsel of the fried pickles-YUM! Aside the fried pickles, we shared a pastrami burger with Caesar salad which was absolutely, immediately inhaled~LOL! Moreover, we chose drinking our prime, sumptuous, beer libations: Firestone-Amanda, Tangerine-Sasha, and of course, the 9.75% Denogginizer Double IPA . . . This mind-blowing IPA is ALL mine, all mine~muah-ahh-ahhh! The beers times two women, i.e., Amanda and Sasha rounded up inhaling THREE beers each while I buckled only downing two glasses of Denogginizer Double IPAs . . . There are stereotypical pizza joints, with their slightly dark lights, wood paneling, 1970s booths, TVs showing sports, and fingers yellow from the grease when you leave. And then there's Danette's Brick Oven Pub. Don't let the "Pub" in the name turn you off. There is a bar, and there's lots of beer stuff all around, but it's not merely a place to drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and maybe eat a few awful appetizers. It's half bar, half restaurant, and the under-21 crowd is welcome. Some people don't see "pub" as a place to drink and drink and drink, but a place to go with friends to have a good time, and Danette's is all that and more. We were on our way to the Big Tomato, and we kept driving because I read that this is great place to get a pizza. This being 2020, this is one of the few places where you can sit down inside for an hour and eat. For many sheeple in 2020, that's enough reason to slap a 1-star Yelp flame on them, even if they never eat there. As for me, even though I'm the opposite of a mindless sheeple, I'll give it a 5-star only if their food and overall atmosphere warrant it. Well, Danette's Brick Oven Pub warranted a 5-star rating, There are some booths and lots of tables, so you could have large groups here if you want. Yes, they have TVs with sports playing. We had two servers come by during the meal who made sure we were having a good meal and a good time. Prices are normal for pizza and drinks. The Hunny and I ordered the all-meat marvel, we ordered a medium and got a large instead. The girl made her own, with pepperoni, bacon, and olives (black olives matter!). All conversation stopped when we started eating, the taste was so incredible. The five-meat concoction included a meat with a surprisingly strong taste that made me say "wow", must have been the sausage. The pizza took a long time to come out, "It takes 25-35 minutes for a pizza, and it's longer for yours, because we need to get the meat ready, it's 10 minutes just for the bacon." It's worth the wait Oh, and they serve burgers too, if you'd rather eat them. Two whole pages of beers, if that matters to you (the Hunny had sweet tea). I recommend Danette's Brick Oven Pub so highly. If you're traveling to/from Tahoe, it's not right off the freeway, you need to drive past the county fair for a half mile, and it's hidden in a shopping center on the hill to the right so it can't be seen from the street. It's worth finding. People from Pollock Pines to Shingle Springs probably know about it already. Even if you live in Sacramento, it's worth the drive to eat here. Eat here! read more

Once again out fighting the same caldor fire the crew got tired of the camp food so I had to pony up and get dinner for em. Found this little jewel of a place not far away. We all piled in and had a great time. Great food, great service. We stink to high heaven because no showers for a few day but hey they still let us in! Ha! Stopped here for lunch and a beer on our way to Lake Tahoe. We had the best time! The bartender was so friendly and made suggestions along with letting me try a few beers before deciding what to order. We also had their pizza, which was so good, perfect chewy crust.. I already need to eat it again. Oh and we got to try their chocolate calzone, so damn good. It had a crispy thin crust that made it taste like a chocolate chip cookie. Super delicious burgers. They are made to order. The onion rings are amazing and very crispy. My husband loves the inferno burger with inferno ranch for his fries. This burger is not for the faint hearted but if you love extremely hot spicy food that burger is for you. My daughter loves the pizza. This is made to order. They hand make their dough and roll it out. The pizzas are super yummy. My favorite is the garlic fries. I've gone to other places where they say garlic fries and try to use just garlic powder. That is not my cup of tea. I want real garlic on my garlic fries and i know with this place they deliver real garlic that is potent and super delicious! The waitress was very nice and friendly. The crust is unique and very good, the cheese is that right kind, it melts right, a chef could tell you, low moisture, or high, but yo, if you know pizza, you know the cheese you need, and they got it. OmGoodness!! This was the best brick oven pizza I have had since 2002 in Pismo Beach! Wow! Right here in Placerville! Who'd a thunk?? I was blown away by all the distinct flavors! And it was just a pepperoni pizza! The cheese (s) were SO tasty, the pepperoni delicious with a crisp edge, the sauce was definitely homemade, the bits of garlic in it!! Yummmm!! You've heard of a "Greasy Spoon"? Well this place is the "Greasy Grand Canyon". My rare patty melt was half overcooked & horribly greasy. The mushrooms & onions were very squishy, greasy & tasted wrong - either canned or ?? The onions were really slimy! Our fries all came at room temperature. My husband's cheeseburger was undercooked. Our daughter ordered the Nutburger. Her only comment about it was, "Interesting." The restaurants' layout is weird - like 2 rooms with a small walkway in between.best thing about the place is the Servers. They were good, but from what we could tell all three of them worked the whole place - as in 3 different Servers at *every* table. It was apparently Amateur Night for the live music. The sound was LOUD so customers yelled to talk to each other. The 1st room was done in the current salvage/vintage style, with corrugated metal running about four feet high with distressed floors. The place will probably survive as the neighborhood beer tavern. They have 30 beers on tap - just avoid the food! read more

Big moist delicious burgers cooked to perfection every time. I go back and forth on the nut burger (I'm not vegetarian but so delicious) and the beef patty. Have tried a lot of them but the teriyaki burger is by far my fave. Be sure to get the garlic fries which are tossed to perfection and pair it with their spicy ranch sauce made from scratch. Nothing has ever disappointed from the cold beers to the chocolate cannoli like dessert. Best restaurant in placerville - hands down. Love the misfit vibe in the staff - always super friendly and attentive. The servers (2 in particular - young man and colorful hair gal) are big factors why we frequent so often! So I was looking for a new place to get a bite to eat, thought I'd try this place . I live here and had never been, now I know why. I arrived on a Friday night at peak dining time of 7:05 pm. There are a few tables with everyone having their food. I sat at their bar area, greeted right away by the server. Order was taken with a few minutes of arrival. Then I proceeded to to wait, and wait, and wait, I counted four people in the kitchen area, as it is in view. Apparently it was more important to prepare to close at 8 pm than to prepare my meal. After 30+ minutes of waiting the nice server says they overlooked my meal and were preparing it. After 48 minutes of waiting patiently I am now the last person in the place eating. I must say the burger once it arrived was good, however the service was extremely poor. For me, I will look elsewhere for a meal....one and done for me! Good luck! read more
