It's not the most comfortable place due to the size, but the smells and vibes are good, so it's worth checking out. I got the blue crab benedict with potatoes and my husband got the short rib tacos. I started off today so excited to come here based on the reviews. As the service progressed I could see my review ticking lower and lower. And then we found a hair. And then they charged us full price. And that was the final nail. We made a reservation for a noon brunch on a Sunday, we knew it was going to be busy and we got seated right away, amazing! And then it was down hill from there. We were seated right by the bussing station, I was staring at dirty dishes my entire meal, at one point I was hit and I spilled my entire cup of coffee all over my table and lap and had to clean it up myself. The French press itself was border line in drinkable. The grounds were too finely ground causing there to be grit throughout the entire pitcher of French press. We each had about one mug each. The food came out and my over easy eggs were over medium at best, the entire bottom of the yolk was hard through to the middle. Only one biscuit got gravy. And then once my partner finished his eggs he found a long black hair under where the eggs were. Needless to say we were very much done with The Bread Pedaler by the time this happened. We let the waitress know. She brought the check, which still included the food we didn't eat because there was a hair in it. After some serious shopping, we were in the mood for Brunch on a Tuesday and discovered this spot. We arrived around 12:30 and, although almost full, we were seated next to a window. Had no problem finding paid street parking across the street. A good variety of Brunch options from Eggs, Bowls, Sandwiches and Tacos. Ordered a Coffee and San Pellegrino. The Coffee could've been much stronger. Didn't enjoy it. I should have taken the Kahlua or Irish Cream shot option. They did have a good list of Cocktails including Mimosas. We ordered a couple of their Benedicts. The Short Rib and Bread Pedaler. Both were delicious with the Bread Pedaler having a slight edge given the Maple syrup topped Waffle base. Lyonnaise potatoes were tasty and not a Brunch side you see everywhere -yes, made in the French (Lyon) way with caramelized onions. We also ordered Short Rib Tacos and a Monte Cristo to go for dinner. Was really excited to try this brunch place. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance since it's a very tiny spot. We were celebrating my birthday and had a baby with us. The reservation was for 11:15, we arrived right on time and was told there was a computer glitch and we needed to wait 15 mins and they would text me. I was highly annoyed but waited. 30 mins went by until our table was ready! Why even have reservations if you make me wait 30 extra mins with a baby. The hostess was extremely rude. What a horrible first impression! Also to note there is literally no where to wait but outside. Once we were seated, I was really surprised our water was brought to us in a tiny plastic cup. We ordered a cheese danish first. It was warm and pretty good. Our orders included the jerk chicken tacos, brisket tacos and Santa Fe. I don't eat pork and asked if they could sub the pork for avocado. They did but charged a whooping $3 for that. How is that even a substitution? The tacos were enjoyed on a homemade tortilla. The Santa Fe was good but thought the beans and rice was lacking and not enough on the plate. A cool Sunday morning in Lancaster and we were looking for a good place to eat breakfast. This place had great reviews and...it was open! The place is small and very busy. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Well worth it. Our server steered us away from 'dishes you can get anywhere' and into the deliciousness of the Butchers Bowl. Potatoes, chunks of bacon, cheese, eggs (scrambled recommended) and house made Hollandaise sauce..described as phenomenal. I am not an egg eater so they subbed sautéed spinach and kale. It came with the best multi grain toast. So good I took the leftovers home. I love that you can see the kitchen from the dining area and the service and servers were great! There is only street parking and they will very quickly ticket your car if you don't pay in the ParkMobile app! Unexpected find as we were visiting Lancaster. Early morning and we were visiting Central Market and realized there were not that many breakfast spots unless we wanted a carb heavy breakfast. On the spot, we looked up some places and thanks to Yelp found the Bread Pedaler. This restaurant will not be out of place in Williamsburg or lower East side. Love how their food is local and organic, you can taste the difference. Prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. This is definitely a spot for smaller groups - couples or small groups (4 max). We ordered the eggs Benedict and the butcher plate. Nothing makes my heart happier than to see a properly executed hollandaise and beautifully cooked sunny side up eggs. Poke that yolk and watch it slowly drizzle into your meal to create this luxurious sauce. The egg Benedict are a feast and indulgence for a cold wet morning. 2 minor points - wish the waffle was more crispy so there's a textural contrast; wish there was a tiny drop of lemon or acid in the hollandaise just to make the sauce a little lighter or some bitter greens like arugula to cut the fat a little. But these are more a personal preference. The butcher plate was this mess of a meal - bacon rashers, eggs, sauce and potato all in 1 bowl.
