I've seen this place jamming a million times people in every seat, inside & out.Its conveniently right at the light rail stop!..Happy hour is from 2pm -7pm.I was fashionably late at 3:30 there wasn't a soul in sight ..The bartender thought it was odd too.Theres a full bar along with a huge variety of craft brews on tap & bottle.Happy hour menu feature drinks and food from $3 to $7.I got the 2 chicken tacos with chips & salsa .OMG!It's real chicken and not one of those tacos that full of lettuce.I was full when I finished.The drink of the week was $6 it features Aviation gin,orange juice and a splash of wheat beer.Closer to 7pm they started to fill up.I can't wait to go back ! read more

I had visited this place a few months ago and was so impressed by the quality of the tacos, they were some of the best I had had in Baltimore! But I visited again tonight and ordered the same tacos that had been so amazing a few months ago, and was so disappointed. They must've changed their recipe or something, because the tacos lacked flavor, and were so dry. One of the chicken tacos had a huge piece of chicken that was so stiff, I couldn't even bite into it. +1 star for friendly staff, but I really hope they change their taco recipe back. Cute establishment, with lots of seating, dim lights and good music. Understandably quiet on a Monday night. Ordered the All american burger and tater tots. There was an EXTENSIVE beer list from fruity, to traditional flavors, but I went with soda. Anyway the burger bun was good, soft, and not at all too "bready". There were thick slices of bacon, fixings. The patty was thick, juicy, flavorful and well done. The tater tots were one of the best I've had. The flavor reminded me of mini knishes, I tasted the subtle flavor of onion or shallots, but there were not bits within. The outside was crisp. I definitely recommend them. They list ablut 6 sauces under the burgers section and I requested the peri peri aioli on the side. It was good on both the tots and burger. It's hard to describe, but it tasted like mayo, but then had the flavor of spicy mustard. Overall it was a good dining experience and I'd definitely give it another shot. The beer selections are fantastic as is the location. It's got outdoor seating which is perfect for people watching as people leave the light rail station. They're intorducing some new menu items and the brussel sprouts are AMAZING. I went back twice in one day for some more. I come here with my friends every Wednesday for Trivia night so I am part of their loyalty rewards club, which gives me $10 off my next purchase after every $200 I spend. The servers are always amazing and attentive. They have a huge selection of different beers, ranging from IPAs to Sour Ales, for about $7-8 and some cocktails as well. I usually order the pretzels, which comes with a white queso sauce and mustard, and the sweet potato fries are great as well. I've walked or run past The Brass Tap a number of times and have been a little turned off by all the TVs and apparent sports bar atmosphere, but I visited The Brass Tap this week and really realized I had misjudged the vibe. Yes, there are indeed TVs but their volumes aren't overpowering and the seating area near the large windows and patios has a cozy feel to it. My friend and I had already eaten, so we just got beer and chips and salsa. I was impressed with their on-tap beer selection (particularly with the holiday Belgian beers). The chips and salsa were alright, but the proportion of salsa to chips seemed a little off. I also was pleased to find out about their weekly trivia and music bingo nights, and I hope to return soon to check out. read more

The server we had was absolutely incredible. I do not recall her name but she was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed very quickly. Food was decent. The main reason for the review is for the manager. He made me feel incredibly unwelcome in the restaurant and like my party was causing him and his staff great stress by being there. I had never been to this restaurant before and right upon entering the manager scolded me for being there. There were many open tables and it was hours before close. I order through doordash. I had the chicken wing and regular cheese burger and everything I had was disgusting. I couldn't even finish anything I had. The chicken wings was the worst. I asked from them to be crispy they gave me the exact opposite. They were so soggy. I had to put them in the air fryer, still couldn't get into them. The burger was okay, nothing special. I decided to give this place a try because I was having drinks at the dive bar across the street that doesn't serve food. My expectations weren't too high after reading the reviews but I still gave it a try. I got Buffalo wings and fries. The wings had a lot of potential to be good because the sauce was great but I specified that I wanted my wings fried extra crispy. That's the only way I like to eat them. When I opened the box the skin was so soft, almost as of they hadn't been fried at all. Needless to say I couldn't really enjoy them. This is a cool spot near the University of Baltimore and the Baltimore Penn Train Station. I like the vibe of the establishment and the energy of the place. It's clean, and so are the bathrooms. One downside is it's loud, and at times hard to carry a conversation. They have a pretty cool system where your server brings you the tablet with the credit card swiper so she puts in the food order right on that and you pay on the spot, without your credit card leaving your hand. You pay and swipe at the table! My friend and I got the sliders and the burger. Solid food presentation, but the food is nothing to write home about. They have many taps on hand, living up to its name. I got the Antietam 1605 Red from Hagerstown, MD, it's basically a better version of Yuengling. Friendly but not the best service. Only one of our three food orders was entered. After waiting 15 mins for items 2 and 3 I asked and gentleman said they were not entered. We had time so waited. Food arrived quickly but cheese on Flatbread not completely melted and they had no hot pepper flakes to put on Flatbread. I never knew a place that did Flatbread and not have pepper flakes. It is like a pizza after all. The poncho tots were SO salty they were not edible. With no consideration for orders not being placed and unedible food, the manager discounted the tots. I enjoy coming to this happy hour! Especially on Tuesday when they have trivia night. I'm always griping about prices, because that's just what I do. With that, Ive seen cheaper happy hour prices, but the food is good and so I pay for it. I also like the atmosphere of the place. Whether you sit at the bar, a high top, or a small table off to the side, there is a nice vibe all around. I come with my gf and we load up on apps and drinks and share everything. I can usually run a $50 tab here. NOTICE- When there are events at the lyric, be mindful. Everyone headed to the show will try to come here and it can get really crazy. Staff try to keep an eye on the tables, but people end up slipping in and causing chaos. This is not a reflection of the staff, but of the management. I have witnessed the female manager, Pauline, pester the bar tenders to the point they are forced to quit. The turnover rate for bartenders at this bar is insane. They currently have three amazing bar tenders in Norah, Marty, and Rachel, but I am sure they won't be there much longer due to management. The best advice I can give these "managers/owners", is for them to be silent owners.
