We decided to try the Brass Tap prior to a show at the Lyric. The HH prices are great, the selections are many and the food is legit. We got there right before the place turned crazy busy. Their specialty drinks were pretty sweet, so we stuck to some old standards instead. The Korean BBQ Pork Nachos were huge. The Chicken Wings were juicy and huge as well, and the basket of Onion Rings was....huge and crispy. We ate and drank for a solid hour and a half, served by an attentive staff and didn't feel rushed. We did receive time checks from our server, letting us know how close to showtime we were. This place prepares for the pre-theater crowd and delivers a great experience.

The food is yummy and the drinks are hitting. Notes this is a bar but they do have high top and low top tables. They also have outside seating. They have TVS to watch the game and lite music playing in the background. I like this spot and will return.

I love the food every time I come (whether it's take out or dining in). I tried the pulled pork mac n cheese bites for the first time and will be getting them again. I also got my regular sweet heat bbq burger. I sat outside on the patio and could hear the live band from the speakers. They are here each Sunday until 2pm. The service was fast and attentive.

Decided to update since it's been awhile! This spot has become one of my favorites in town for sure. Always a great beer selection and food selection. Their Sunday brunch items are great and a good starter if you're coming to watch a Ravens game! Love the people that work here: Yvette, Dylan, Aiden, Erin, to name a few. There are always fun events here; love Wednesday trivia and Thursday Jeopardy nights. There is also karaoke on Thursdays which is a fun time. Overall, Brass Tap is an awesome spot to hang out and enjoy some good food and drinks.

We visited for Sunday brunch. It's usually seat yourself but since we had a group of 5 adults and 2 kiddos it wasn't anything readily available. The gentlemen quickly made arrangements for us and even accommodated our request to be seated so we could see the tvs for the Sunday football game. That's good customer service! We ordered from both the brunch menu and regular menu. They do not have a kids menu but we were able to order a meal for our 2 small children to share. I loved my breakfast burrito--very cheesy. And the breakfast home fries (basically little potato cubes) were well seasoned. My aunt wasn't a fan of her Brussel sprouts. My mom was expecting crumbled sausage in her sausage gravy. But overall everything was pretty tasty and filling. They also provided free purple shots for Ravens touchdowns--too bad they only scored once haha I would definitely return again.

Nice spot with a great draft list. Very convenient to UB, MICA, and light rail (if you're on your way to a game). I did not sample the food on my recent visit but the beer selection is phenomenal.

Went to a drag brunch at brass tap and had so much fun! The servers were friendly and the atmosphere was lively. The donut holes were delicious and i loved the mimosa flight. I did not enjoy the breakfast sliders.

Bloody Mary

We came for drag brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The menu is small and everything on it is decadent. The southern sunrise melt is a melted ham and Swiss topped with an egg and sausage gravy, which was salty, fatty, and delicious. The real show stopper was the mimosa flight, though. All 4 flavors were great and the sample glasses were enormous. The Bloody Mary is definitely worth skipping, just bland and astringent. This is not a new favorite spot, but I would come back.

Fried Chicken Sandwich with Brussels sprouts

Amazing food, service and tons of beers. Great stop before a show at the Lyric. Caesar salad was excellent. Chicken sandwich was crunchy and Brussels sprouts were amazing.

The brass tap release the new spring menu. The new spring menu has potstickers and Brussel sprouts along with a new steak.. I love the Asian chili sauce that came with the potstickers. The new drinks were pretty tasty. Parking is available in a garage on the side.

Wings

Food was on point. Wings amazing. Salad great. Sandwich perfect. Service outstanding. It was late. I was tired and hungry. But i am looking forward to next time. Ambience was chilled. And people were all polite and enjoying themselves. Will be back

Hot, Fresh Burger

We returned to the Brass Tap restaurant again before a show at the Lyric Theatre. Once again, the service was prompt, however, the best was yet to come. The crowds were swelling into the restaurant and fortunately we arrived early. The wait staff guided us to our table; took our order for drinks and dinner. We had just begun a conversation when our drinks arrived. We restarted our conversation and literally moments later, fresh hot meals were coming to our table! The food was phenomenal -- the burger was perfectly cooked with a pile of crisp hot French fries. My wife's steak salad was equally fresh with tender, beef and a tasty honey mustard dressing. It's rare to find restaurants that excels in both the food and the service, but The Brass Tap did it perfectly. We'll be back again looking forward to a three-peat before the next show!

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties. Plus you bring your own cards and board games to play as well. I will so definitely return.

The old church and architecture is so warm and inviting-- it was still decorated and lit for Christmas so it felt extra festive. It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! Thank you to all of the kind people at The Ministry of Brewing! We will be back.

At the door, they checked IDs and explained the whole way to sample the many beers with some notecards for writing down the corresponding number and the size for each beer, and a little space to take some notes on what we thought of each. It seems like they regularly have a lot of beers on tap anyway, but they do have several beer fests throughout the year (Hopfest is in August!) with over 60 offerings of a particular style of brew. And even if you want to come in and want a different style, they still have plenty of those to try as well. We got some food to go with all that beer - the Tater platter was solid bar food with tots, cheese, and bacon. Would get again. Likewise, they run a hot dog special when the Orioles are playing and you can get a hot dog for cheap. Ample seating at the bar and surrounding tables. Bathroom was clean. The bartenders took food and drink orders and different carriers bring food to you. They move quick and are friendly. Prices are fair.

I had a true 5-star experience at Nepenthe. A few weeks ago,…read moreI visited Nepenthe for a happy hour at work and had the chance to meet Chef Andrew. During our conversation, I mentioned that my wife absolutely loved a specialty burger from his previous restaurant. That restaurant closed several years ago, and the burger isn't on Nepenthe's menu. Without hesitation, Chef Andrew told me that if I gave him some advance notice and brought her in, he would get the ingredients and make it especially for her. So that's exactly what I did for her birthday. When the burger arrived, my wife was genuinely surprised. Chef Andrew even added a candle to the plate to make the occasion extra special. The burger was everything she remembered. She often says she compares every burger she eats to that one, but had resigned herself to the idea that she'd never have it again. Bravo, Chef Andrew. What makes this story even more remarkable is that I had only met him once before. This wasn't something I asked him to do--he was the one who suggested it. That's the kind of hospitality is something I'll never forget. The food at Nepenthe is consistently good, and the atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of energy. What a fun brewery!…read more My brother had a birthday gathering here this year - we were able to comfortably seat a group of 15-20 people in the outdoor picnic section area. Highly recommend this spot for groups looking for a place to gather and socialize. The space is deceivingly large; there are multiple indoor spaces all within a quick stride from a long bar with dozens of beer taps. The outdoor space is even larger than what's available indoors; their vast street level patio/deck space is full of picnic tables and benches that are perfect for larger groups when the weather is nice. And yes, their outdoor patio is pet friendly. While the brewery itself doesn't serve food, there was a food truck (that looked to be there quite often) set up in the outdoor area that had several good options. I had their burger and fries which was exactly what I needed after an afternoon of brews. The beer itself was tasty; I had several of their hazy IPA's which I've grown to enjoy. They also offer a very solid selection of N/A beer options; some of the folks in our group enjoyed them and gave them great reviews. I didn't get a chance to check out the arcade portion of the brewery, but yes, this is a barcade as well.
