What a great find! A lovely little bar and restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating and a fun vibe. Plus the food was excellent! Okay, we had dinner here the other night, and I've been sitting on this review for two days. I really (REALLY) wanted this to be a five-star meal. I have been here for beers a few times and love the vibe. All of the employees are super friendly and helpful, there are great outside tables, good tunes inside, fun artwork, and a thoughtful drink selection, including tap list. I had seen the food menu several times and was excited to try it -- thoughtful and creative bar food, for the most part. Unfortunately, the meal left much to be desired. The two of us shared a fried chicken sando with fries, an order of wings, and some habanero-corn fritters. The fries were exceptional, and well...they were the clear high point. The piece of chicken (thigh?) on the sandwich was vanishingly thin -- there was way more breading and more bacon on the sandwich than chicken. (Note that this isn't so much a complaint about portion size, though it was quite small, but more about the fact that it wasn't a very good chicken sando because it lacked, well, chicken.) To make matters worse, there was no sauce (mayo, mustard, whatevs) on the sandwich, so it was super dry. The wings had rubbery skin and were dry on the inside, a feat that I am not sure how the line cooks accomplished. The sauce on the wings (habanero) was oddly pasty, extremely lacking in salt, and free of any vinegar. Strangest wings I've ever had, and absolutely not in a good way. The fritters were OK -- cheesy, corny -- but a bit doughy in the center. My biggest complaint is that they were extremely lacking in habanero -- both the heat and the wonderful floral aromas. I saw some minced jalapenos in them but only one tiny piece of habanero. Please don't take this comment in a macho, "you can't make it hot enough for me" way. This absolutely isn't that. Rather, I think that in 2022 diners are pretty sophisticated. If something on the menu says "habanero" in the title, I think someone ordering it expects habanero -- with a full understanding of all that entails. So, the fritters weren't bad, per se, but just an opportunity lost -- definitely did not live up to their full potential. The lime aioli was lovely, though. read more

Pleasantly distinct pickles. Pork taco is very large. Def not "street" size. Keep that in mind when ordering multiples. Tomatoes appear very fresh and locally sourced. Caesar salad is good, but the dressing is mild/bland. Croutons are great. Light and crispy. The grilled chicken is juicy and well cooked. Ambiance is a 10/10 for me. It's close quarters inside with ordering at the bar. This place is cozy with the dining room sectioned out nicely. There is also seating outside and it is dog friendly. They have a full bar and specials on rotation . Grab a menu by the door, order at the bar and find a table. Water is self serve. They have a kid menu that has options. We chose chicken strips and asked for them to be fried. Fries for a side. For $6 it's a deal. We ordered the carafe of Sangria for $22. It was a standard Sangria. We ordered the tuna crudo (the sauce is worth a trip on its own) , the poke bowl-it was good, the corn fritters -they were fried to a perfect golden brown but were a little bit doughy and the sauce lacked flavor and seemed a little thick-, the chicken wings (another winner) with 5 nicely sized bone-in wings and a house made ranch and a house salad. Upscaled bar food with super chill ambience/vibes. They have vegetarian food items and are very friendly. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of chips, and it was delicious! The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and not too dry, and I loved the chips. I think there was a sort of chipotle bbq seasoning on them, and they were *chef's kiss*. Great food and ambiance. However, on weekends it is too small of a place especially if you have more than 2 people in your party and want a table inside. When we went on a Saturday night, there was only the bartender taking orders and then making the drinks for that order. Since it's counter service only, this created a line to the door all night. It took about 25 minutes to get through the line -horribly inefficient! Especially when you had 2 server girls who were checking their phones behind the counter when they didn't have food to bring out. Train them to take orders too! Drinks were just meh. My wife didn't even finish her Rosemary's Baby, too tart and weird tasting. Employees were friendly though and again, food was excellent. We had the pork taco, wings, truffle fries and poke bowl. The taco was one of the best I've ever had. We also ordered a few drinks that were great as well.
