We ate here a few months ago and I have to say, it was okay. Not great. The worst part was the NOISE. It was lunchtime and the place was only about 25% occupied, but the MUSIC and BASS were cranked way up and we couldn't hear each other at all. I finally had to ask them to turn it down, but it was barely touched and still insanely loud. Food: We had chicken salad on a croissant and it should have tasted a LOT better than it did considering the calories and cost. The fries were good. The soup was average. My bean burger was also very average. Not nearly as good as 4 Spirits or Downward Dog's, but it was edible. I wouldn't ever bother going back, but a friend recently lost a spouse and we offered to take them wherever they wanted to go for a meal, they chose Brass Monkey so we'll pray for the best and expect LOUD mediocre. 3 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon. The fries are perfect. Perfectly battered, perfectly fried, perfectly salted. My doctor is glad I don't live near here. Burger was cooked perfectly as well. Pleasantly distinct pickles. Pork taco is very large. Def not "street" size. Keep that in mind when ordering multiples. Tomatoes appear very fresh and locally sourced. Caesar salad is good, but the dressing is mild/bland. Croutons are great. Light and crispy. The grilled chicken is juicy and well cooked. Upscaled bar food with super chill ambience/vibes. They have vegetarian food items and are very friendly. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of chips, and it was delicious! The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and not too dry, and I loved the chips. I think there was a sort of chipotle bbq seasoning on them, and they were *chef's kiss*. Brass Monkey is a great spot to hang with friends, eat, or grab a drink. There are plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors to accommodate various group sizes. read more

Food and drinks are good. I always get the kale salad. Fun, cute ambience. The older male bartender husslesss. He takes a line of food orders, while making all the drinks very efficiently. The atmosphere drew me in. CPT Picard on the wall & Salvador Dalí. They have a wide selection of spirits & beer. Had the Old Cuban & a shot of Ukrainian Vodka neat. It's smooth. I'll let you know how I feel in the morning. Greeters are friendly & Erik the bar guy is friendly & interactive. Definitely coming again. This might be my favorite bar in Corvallis. We had such a lovely lunch at this sweet spot in Corvallis! My order was simple. Chicken tenders and a side house salad. But each was exceptional in flavor and presentation. Ambiance is a 10/10 for me. It's close quarters inside with ordering at the bar. This place is cozy with the dining room sectioned out nicely. There is also seating outside and it is dog friendly. They have a full bar and specials on rotation . Grab a menu by the door, order at the bar and find a table. Water is self serve. They have a kid menu that has options. We chose chicken strips and asked for them to be fried. Fries for a side. For $6 it's a deal. We ordered the carafe of Sangria for $22. It was a standard Sangria. We ordered the tuna crudo (the sauce is worth a trip on its own) , the poke bowl-it was good, the corn fritters -they were fried to a perfect golden brown but were a little bit doughy and the sauce lacked flavor and seemed a little thick-, the chicken wings (another winner) with 5 nicely sized bone-in wings and a house made ranch and a house salad. Great food and ambiance. However, on weekends it is too small of a place especially if you have more than 2 people in your party and want a table inside. When we went on a Saturday night, there was only the bartender taking orders and then making the drinks for that order. Since it's counter service only, this created a line to the door all night. It took about 25 minutes to get through the line -horribly inefficient! Especially when you had 2 server girls who were checking their phones behind the counter when they didn't have food to bring out. Train them to take orders too! Drinks were just meh. My wife didn't even finish her Rosemary's Baby, too tart and weird tasting. Employees were friendly though and again, food was excellent. Visiting our kids in college and wanted a chill place for dinner. Love so much about this place. Has a 70-80s music retro vibe from the eclectic art work to furniture etc.... Wow! The bartender Tim was friendly, professional and efficient. He went so far as to shake my husbands hand to introduce himself when he went to place our order. We had the pork taco, wings, truffle fries and poke bowl. The taco was one of the best I've ever had. We also ordered a few drinks that were great as well. The portions of food were sizable, I had to take some home. The food was delicious, we had the cob salad, we also ordered truffle fries, salsa and chips and wings. We had a group of 4 and we couldn't finish all of the food. The mixed drinks were well made! I will be back. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to stand in line to order your food and drinks like a fast food restaurant. We were told by a very friendly server you sit anywhere and go to the bar to order food and drinks. Employee/bartender was not super friendly or helpful. Food arrived fairly quickly; I had the cobb salad which was fresh, tasty and with a great ranch dressing. The homemade potato chips were OK. We ordered the gouda mac n cheese which was tasty.
