This was our third visit. Haven't been in a couple of years. Appears they are changing the decor inside. Gone is any reference to OSU except for the beaver name. I miss the old decor. We came because it was an OSU inspired place. The new deco looks nice - just nothing Beaver inspired. Food was OK. Not great. Husband had wings and I had a chicken quesadilla (no salsa or sour cream - just a bunch of ingredients inside a tortilla). Didn't seem complete. And neither of us were all that impressed. I'm not a huge fan of the "order at the bar" model. The staff was friendly but I prefer having someone check on us to get drink refills, order more food, etc. Not really planning a return visit. I miss the old model. And the old prime rib special on Friday nights. read more

Their website really upgrades and sells a much different restaurant. The booths are so old , you get stuck in the them. The inside looks like a night club and the TVs showing football are an after thought. The juke box music was playing the entire time and not good choices. The drinks are weak..not stiff at all, as one review stated. The food was good and liked all the TVs to watch football. Our server was sweet but did not ask if we wanted more drinks until we had drank them down 10 minutes before. I would not recommend this place to other visitors. The owner or Manager needs to be present to improve on some necessary changes. read more

Awesome place to watch football!! They have the Ducks and Beaver games plus Sunday NFL Ticket to watch any NFL game and multiple TVs. Food was great and service excellent! Just moved our kid to OSU and looking forward to returning to this bar every time we come back to visit her! There are 2 levels of fun in this restaurant, with some of the most iconic sports memorabilia in 360° view. The TVs are a nice size for the size of the venue and the amount of TVs that are mounted. Went to throw down with my friends, walked in paid. But they wouldn't let one of my friends in since she didn't have her ID on her, though she did have a picture of it. She also had her student ID on her to confirm her identity. They wouldn't let her in, we didn't want to go on without her so we went to leave. But we had barely been in there for five seconds so we asked for our money back. SINCE WE HAD ONLY BEEN IN THERE FOR FIVE SECONDS. and they said no... It's literally six dollars. Like an infant fumbling to take its first steps, a fledgling bar has only 3 places to go: impaling itself on a toy light saber, taking a nap in its own drool, or sprouting wings and flying like an eagle (not a duck, this is Beaver country!). My first time here, but I love the name and the vibe is good, so they start out with 5 stars. Busy Saturday night. Took forever to get a drink (-1 star), lipstick marks on my glass (-0.5, but the bartender replaced my drink +0.5), wanted to order food but he never took my order (-1), and lastly, my drink went dry (-1). I mostly blame the management for my negative experience. The bar and waitstaff were busting their buns, but they seemed understaffed. My advice: if you're getting flanked, call in the cavalry (bring in staff on call, especially at peak times). A good establishment plans for such things. First time at the Angry Beaver. The service was very poor. One woman was taking the orders for the whole place and trying to also service the customers sitting at the bar. Stood in line 20 min just to get our order in. Then we went to our table and sat another hour waiting for our food. At that point a man came out of the kitchen and was carrying plates table to table to try and match them with customers. Luckily we were matched up early on, others had to wait much longer. Perhaps someone no showed work that day but it seemed inefficient/unorganized. The food was as to be expected, we had burgers and tots. The buns had gotten a little soggy sitting and waiting to be brought out. We were there on a Sunday at around 2:00, and the place was about 2/3 full. I'd give the food a 3* and the service a 1*. Finally came back after a previous bad experience. This time redeemed it all. There was a special of prime rib eggs Benedict. It was amazing. I couldn't even finish it. Blonde waitress was given a valid unexpired state issued concealed carry permit but said she was unable to accept it as valid ID.
