Carne Molte

Got in early. Had a wonderful dinner. Carne Molte & Chicken Marsala (with gnocchi). Totally worth it!

Good day Yelpies, My recent dining experience, regrettably, fell short of expectations. The Vongole -- clams in a white wine, garlic, and butter sauce -- arrived on a pasta that was neither bucatini nor cooked al dente. The substitution and texture both dulled what could have been a beautifully balanced dish. The Pollo Gorgonzola fared little better. The sauce was timid on the Gorgonzola, robbing it of the bold, creamy punch that defines the classic. The chicken itself tasted overworked -- almost as though it had been left to dry alongside the sun-dried tomatoes rather than complemented by them. For a restaurant commanding premium prices, I had hoped for execution matching the ambition of the menu. Quality ingredients and careful technique deserve equal billing, but unfortunately, both seemed to have missed the mark this afternoon. The only highlight was the server's amazing attitude and positive intentions. Cheers The Dutchman

The food was exceptionally good! Very flavorful! Even the gluten free pasta was delicious!! The prices are reasonable and worth it! Our waitress Sidney was really good! She was attentive and on top of drink refills. We were seated upstairs which was quiet. We ended up being the only table left upstairs yet Sidney continued to check on us. We will definitely be back!!!

Great food and service! Highly recommend. Also loved the bread before your food arrives!

Amazing Food !! We went on a Saturday evening, we had about a 30 min wait till our table was ready. So we walked around downtown. When our table was ready, we were seated, it did take about 10 mins for anyone to come to our table. We ordered Shrimp Scampi as an appetizer, I ordered the of their mixed drink, some sort of spritzer. The spritzer was so delicious and so was the scampi, there were only 6 shrimp, for the price, I dont think we would order it again despite it being very good. Our waiter brought us a bread basket but it was the tiniest portion and it was the end piece...I didn't say anything but that was disappointing. For our meal I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and my husband ordered the Brisket Gnocchi. Our food was so good, the pasta was soft and tasted very fresh. We will definitely come back, there was so many things on the menu that I want to try. Only negative were the wait time for food and drinks, and the skimpy portion of bread and shrimp. Total wait time was 30 mins for the table to be ready, an hour from sitting down to leaving, most of that time was just waiting.

First time at Vito's. Arrived on a drizzly tuesday evening and was welcomed with a friendly greeting and christmas cozy ambiance. Enjoyed dining and ordered 1/2 Parmesan Garlic Bread which was fabulously orepared next time ordering the full. As we waited for our meal we enjoyed the refreshing Ginger Mule & Limoncello Drop martini style. Our meal began with a small Caprese Salad followed by the Agli E Olio (with added diced chicken), and for desert the sumptuous homemade Tiramisu. We split the portions were plentiful and the food was so delicious forgot to take photos.

This is a fine Italian restaurant in downtown Albany. I think the downtown Albany area is pretty cool and it seems like they have some nice bars and restaurants. We had a group at the high top near the front. Nice upstairs downstairs ambiance and good service by our bartender. The food was right down. The middle service was excellent and we had a very nice time. If you're looking for Italian in this area of Oregon, I would suggest Vito's!

My partner and I went out for our last date before we headed back home for Winter break. What used to be Gamberettis, Vito's Trattorrita, is our go to spot. Since the change of ownership, it has only changed for the better. Through the service, food, and overall ambiance, we forgot about our finals, work, and other stressors. We could not recommend this place more for families, couples, and or any events, Vito's should be your spot! P.S. We forgot to take a picture of the Calamari because it looked so scrumptious and fresh

Less than half of an excellent beet salad.

Got the wrong salad and the mushroom ravioli had no cream in the sauce. It was just wine, garlic and cheese.

There are plenty of things I was noticing as I looked at the same area of the restaurant again and again. Lots of interesting touches that made it more pub/homey (if that makes any sense). It's definitely a smaller restaurant so come during off hours or I think they might allow for reservations. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. A bit of a limited menu but not putting that against them, as long as the food is good it doesn't matter. Got the pickled eggs and pretzel for the appetizer. The pretzel was standard but the sweet mustard sauce was amazing. Pickled eggs were different but it was the first time I tried them and I'm glad that I did. Give them a try. For mains got the shepherd's pie, sausage and mash, and the firehouse chili. Would recommend the shepherd's pie, the firehouse chili was not my personal favorite sort of chili but it does seem like other reviews liked it, so give it a shot and form your own opinion. I liked the sausage but the mash not so much, more grainy than smooth. If you take nothing else from my review, get the sticky toffee pudding. Very indulgent especially after a heavy meal but it was quickly polished off. Overall, decent food with some gems. Definitely a lot of character to it, and unique for the area.

First we arrived 20-30min prior to our reservation. The lady at the front was sooo friendly I was taken back! We asked if we could sit at the bar and get a drink. Of course she said yes. The bar is super cute and I love the hours off-set the restaurant hours so you can enjoy drinks prior to and after dinner. The bar tender was super friendly and you can see he enjoyed his job. The drinks were really good! Our friendly greater came to get us promptly when our table was ready. The table was ready with fresh baked bread and butter. Our waiter was Jessie; what a gem! He was so friendly and helped us with the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We started off with the bar fries (Jessie's recommendation) wow! They were amazing not super heavy and a perfect starter. I had the special which was a NY steak, with Hatch Chili polenta. My steak was perfection and the polenta was delicious. I loved the gravy as well. Superb blend of flavors. We ended the night with the flourless chocolate cake and espresso martini. Fabulous food and honestly some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered.

Loafers Station…read more Sometimes you walk into a restaurant expecting dinner and end up getting dinner, entertainment, and a waitress who apparently missed her calling as a comedian. Loafers Station was packed when we showed up, but somehow we carved out a little section with a view and settled in. The ambiance was great, the beer was good, and the place had that busy energy that makes you feel like you picked the right spot. Our waitress was hilarious. She did a couple of things that were so ridiculous we couldn't help but laugh. I'm not even sure if she was trying to be funny, which honestly made it even funnier. Free entertainment with your meal? I'll take it. The food was solid. I had the steak salad and the steak bites, and both were on point. The hamburger and fries were also a hit. The mac was just okay, but hey, not everything can be the star of the show. The best part was getting to hang out with my daughter, son in law , and grandson. Good food, cold beer, plenty of laughs, and a packed restaurant that still somehow worked for us. For Albany, Loafers Station is definitely one of the places that belongs on the list when you're looking for a good meal and a fun atmosphere. I travel, I taste, I talk. And occasionally I eat steak salad while watching a waitress create her own comedy special.

I asked if they needed my name and was told by the hostess "no." I thought it was a little weird, but went with it. My coworker arrived first and he said reservations for 5. They asked him for a name! Haha, he said they looked at him like he was crazy. So that was weird. Otherwise, once we all arrived, the service was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance - it was open and had a mix of high top tables, low top, and bar seating. When it's busy, it's quite noisy. Not a place you can really carry a long conversation. I did notice there was a loft area that looks like a private party/gathering could be held. Once everyone left after the lunch rush, it was much quieter. Food - Yum! We started with the lemon pepper wings, which were recommended by our wait staff. The worst thing with wings are when they are dry and jerky like. This was not the case at Loafers. The wings were piping hot when they came out. Too hot to eat immediately. Once you got into the meat of the wings, it was moist. The lemon pepper flavor was great. Citrusy and peppery, not too salty. The wings came with baby carrots and celery sticks. I got the Buddha bowl which includes Rice, carrots, purple cabbage, avocado, sesame seeds, micro cilantro, mung bean sprouts, watermelon radish & peanut sauce and added seared ahi. I requested no rice and the waitress said it would be nothing if I don't get the rice, so she suggested getting salad. The bowl was massive. I'm not sure I needed the salad. It was really filling and the tuna was delicious. I felt the peanut sauce was a bit salty so I barely used it. Tuna has a pepper crust, so it was also flavorful. Overall, happy with our experience there for our team lunch.
