We were so happy we found this place! We had delicious cold beer, crazy-inexpensive-tasty street tacos and quesadilla, and any football game we requested. It was admittedly pretty quiet at noon on Sunday, but it was nice to chat with the friendly sweet bartender. Will definitely go back if we get back to Albany. read more

Don't come for the food. I've tried several things trying to find something decent. I want so badly for this to be a great place. Hamburgers have thin soggy bun. The meat in them is disgusting. I've tried a few melts. One was slimy and greasy. The other had hardly any ingredients on it and didn't include the sun dried tomatoes that were supposed to be on it. They didn't fix but I got a discount. We tried the charcuterie board and it looked like a 3 year old put it together with lunch meat from the school cafeteria. The one saving grace is the pizza is OK-ish. The upside - beverages are good and entertainment is fun. If they could only put together a decent meal.... read more

The flatbread had decent flavor but was undercooked and underwhelming. I ordered the veggie and they served it without the balsamic drizzle that was listed as an ingredient, they had to take it back and put it on. You order at the counter, which is fine but doesn't provide a feeling of service or any personal interaction. The door to the patio was open and the room wasn't very warm. We don't intend to return. read more

Went there for a beer and food. 1.25.25. Been there before. This time the guy behind the bar had his phone stuck to his face, kicked back in a chair with his feet on the bar. We had to interrupt him several times to get another beer...beer could have been colder..the bathroom was disgusting, the back end looked like a garbage pit. We ordered chicken nachos, and 2 chicken tacos....they didn't have enough chicken to pull that off, mind you, it's Saturday!!! This will be our last time there, and a $0 tip!! We have reviewed another of places and have to say that this one has definitely gone to the dumps since the first few times we have been there.. read more

Great selection of beer, food looks good (never tried it, tho), and they have pulled together their theme well, which is often lacking in a lot of growler fill bars. Now if they just got a sound panel or two to absorb the echo, it'd be stellar. read more

Apparently this is what you get when you order original chicken wing. No sauce added whatsoever. Definitely previously frozen and baked. Don't come here expecting good food. The two ladies working here even admitted that one goes to the back to quickly cook up whatever's necessary. No dedicated kitchen staff. Vast beer selection, and that's what gets the single star. Also, even though the quesadilla is listed as coming with pico de gallo on the side, we were forced to pay an additional 50 cents for whatever can of expired salsa they just opened up in the back. The quesadilla was also inedible. Conclusion: it was all downhill after the beer. read more

They have a great rotating selection of beers and everything I've tried on the menu has been great.

A hidden gem in the heart of Albany!!! Traveling through for business, and I found this place using a google search, "pub in Albany, OR". Amazing decor, you feel that you are in a relaxed pub. Clean place, and really well-decorated with historic garage pieces. 54 beers on tap, and they serve wine as well! Great pub food selection like sandwiches, sliders, bratwurst, nachos, "street tacos," etc. This place is super relaxed, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is great. I had the nachos, and they served it food cart style. For approx. $9, they were HUGE and full of meat and cheese and the extras I asked for. Highly recommend you stop in and try it for yourself!! read more

Have been twice recently great beer selection. My Husband likes the wings I had chicken nachos that looked more like shredded pork, not much taste. Went back this evening thinking maybe just macOS weren't that great, so tried pub burger not much flavor and burnt fries. That's it for me! read more

Pretty good food and beer. But the service is horrible. Nice enough people but super slow. It's well known that the service is bad butyl put up with it due to limited options in Lebanon read more

By far the best place to get a good draft beer and a snack in town. Their beer selection (54 taps!) rivals much more pumped up establishments up and down the willamette valley, the outdoors seating is nice in the summer (we were there on the 4th of July for an afterlunch drink!) and the service is friendly and quick. The beers can be a little bit expensive (not all of them), but food is cheap so it compensates well ;o) Try the mac and cheese and the brat! The wife loves it also because it's got kombucha on tap. read more

I spent about 2 total weeks in Albany, Oregon for work and during my stay, I looked online and came across the Growler. I don't have enough good things to say about this place. Incredible food for really cheap and great beer! Portions aren't super big but great pub and grub. The atmosphere is very laid back and the bartenders were very helpful. This is not a place for people to be stupid but for people to relax and chill after a long hard days work. I never once felt pressured to stop tasting beers which is a big deal for me. They have a big menu and so it's a little overwhelming at first. This is only drinks on tap people so you won't get any bottles here but they have an extensive variety of beer and also wine, ciders, and kombucha. (I'm not a fan of those other ones but if you are, you should definitely come here because they have a large amount of those as well). I came here one of the first days I was staying in town and I found it hard to go anywhere else the rest of the trip. Tracy the owner is a very nice guy. He gave me advice on places to tour while I was there and was super polite every time I walked in. Later on the trip I'd come in and he'd call me by name. The bartenders were always very polite and super helpful. All in all you won't be disappointed with this place if you like to relax, eat a cheap meal, and take part in a great craft beer ;) read more

Dizzying array of brews and ciders. Brie helps you narrow it down. The brat is yum! Downtown Albany needs more entrepreneurial enterprises like this. Stop in and say hey. Trivia night is a blast. Several beers, ciders to choose from. I give 4 stars because the food isn't the best. It's like the kitchen is trying but doesn't have much experience. This review is only about the food and service. The beer is fantastic!!!! I'm going to use bullet points. 1. Meeting a good friend for food and drinks. 2. On work trip 3. Super dead when I went in; maybe 3 other twosomes. 4. Two dudes working, one seemed new; nba game was about to come on. 5. ordered beer and food (reuben and vegggie plate) 6. my friend ordered tacos no problem with service 7. i waited quite a while for my food. 8. walked and asked where my food was after about 20 minutes. 9. brought out my sandwich and it was okay 10. waiting another 10-15 min for my veggie plate (should have been brought out before my sandwich probably) 11. Asked them where my veggie plate was (all this time they are both chatting with the patron at the bar and watching the nba game. again there are hardly any customers inside) 12. brought it out in 5 min. 13. brought wrong dressing (i wanted TI) 14. veggie plate was supposed to have snap peas. none were on there. Veggies looked like they had just came from a bag, and did not look that clean. cauliflower was slimy nasty. 15. brought wrong dressing for 2nd time 16. finally brought right dressing for 3rd time. 17. Seemed non-chalant about everything and didnt seem like they cared. 18. I feel super annoyed at the poor service and attention to detail 18. I am a server at a restaurant so I understand that mistakes happen when its busy. 19. Dont go in here to get food or on a monday night when its dead or just dont get any veggies.. 20. Beer is excellent so this is not about beer. beer gets 5/5 stars. Thanks and I hope you have a better experience then I did and I hope the manager sees this. *I dont think the owner was working tonight. read more

Only open for about five weeks, this is a great tasting room with a huge selection of beers, available in pints or tasting flights (choice of four or six tastes). When we visited, they had around 30 beers on tap, along with a local wine, a few ciders, root beer, and kombucha. Although they don't serve food, they offer peanuts and pretzels to snack on, and the pizza place down the street will deliver pizza or appetizers (bread sticks, potatoes, chicken wings) with a $20 min. order. A very cool atmosphere with high ceilings and weathered corrugated metal paneling and garage/car-themed decor. There are a few picnic tables for larger groups and a few cocktail tables for seating, along with outdoor seating out back. We visited with a large group for an after-work function and they were extremely accommodating, offering tastes of different beers so people could find what they liked. This is a great spot to try a number of different beers (both local and out of state), and it'll surely become a local favorite. Check out their website to see what's on tap: http://www.thegrowlergaragealbany.com/whats-on-tap/. read more

My favorite bar in Albany. Plenty of beers and a good setting. Sat out back once during the day and it was very pleasant. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is I did not eat any of the menu.
