This place is a straight vibe. They have a lot of beer,cider, and some nonalcoholic options on tap. When my friends and I go, we get the craft cocktails (out of a can), which are a great anytime through out your night. They serve minimal food and the drinks are affordable. The staff there is very welcoming. I wouldn't consider this a college bar, but the staff has always made me feel valued and as I belong there. Definitely a hidden gem. read more

I made a special stop to visit here as a former OSU student. I used to spend a lot of time (and money) here. I even bought my partner a gift certificate for Christmas one year from here. I will never step foot in this establishment again and neither will any one else I know due to the overt discrimination I faced. Last night, a man wove his hand in front of my face and told me I needed to get up so he could have my seat. I told him I am sitting here and he can't have my seat. I also informed the patron about the legal requirement that any animal in a food establishment needs to be a task trained service animal used to mitigate a disability. This man's dog was unleashed and running throughout the bar. This man then exploded in my face, telling me they know the owner, this is not a rule at Treebeards, and they had people to back them up. He complained to people working there, who then informed me that I need to leave. I asked why, and was told that I am aggressive and hostile. I am a small, inconspicuous woman and pose absolutely 0 threat to anyone. Instead of the people working here acknowledging that the "owner's friend" is skirting laws, they decided that I can no longer be there. When I asked for a manager's contact information, I was told that I may have "special martial arts training" and that it was too dangerous for them to grab a business card and give it to me. I am not joking (I have a recording). I am a woman with a doctorate. I am highly educated and have never been accused of 1% of what this place insinuates I am capable of. This is legitimately what the United States has been destroyed to. Your seat, as a woman, can removed from you at any moment, because you are apparently dangerous. This establishment openly breaks the law on multiple accounts. Women, you are not safe here. Do not go here. I am so so sad that I ever gave this place a single cent over the past decade. I am afraid for the future of the United States. read more

Treebeerd's is a small but comfortable taphouse. The tap list is large so you'll probably find what you want. The only downside was I happened to drop in on trivia night. I came in before it started but because I wasn't interested in trivia, it was a one beer and go experience for me. And it's a bummer that trivia night is Tuesdays because my other top choice was the Biere Library and they're closed on Tuesday. read more

The first time I came here a couple months ago, I didn't end up staying and ordering anything because the service was unfriendly and the general vibe was weird - bummer since it looked cozy inside, had plenty of outdoor seating during the summer, and had a great taplist. Came with a small group of friends this time and experienced the opposite of what we did the last time - the bartender was super friendly, everyone was having a good time catching up with friends. Lots of positives for me: - They have lots of beers on tap, mostly local brewers in the PNW, with a wide range. - There's lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. - You have flexibility in ordering a pint or a 4oz pour. - Staff was friendly and allowed us to sample a few brews before picking our pints. We were having a stressful drive back home after dealing with a flat tire. We needed a break so we decided to walk around the area and found Treebeerd's; an awesome taproom right off the main road. Great beers to choose from along with nonbeer alternatives. The selection is arranged by type which simplifies where to look and would be helpful to someone new to craft beer. A great hang out! There were many beer options, as well as cider (which was not 2Towns for once). The mead options was lacking...a lot. There new flavors to try and they rotate so it is always different! I personally loved the All the Berries cider! They do not have food but you can get a free delivery of American Dream Pizza if the order is more than $15 dollars. I was expecting a more Tolkien atmosphere given the name. Students get a $1 off their drink! And the selections were not expensive. read more

Snazzy new beer bar. Warmly designed and staff has been friendly. American Dream Pizza menus are available, and they'll deliver to the bar; all necessary plates, napkins, etc. are provided. Not the most exciting beer selection, but solid (thus the 4/5 stars). Aside from being able to taste before you choose, they'll also do a flight (or just individual smaller pours). A nice place to get ADP pizza w/ a better beer selection than what can be had at ADP itself. Sort of reminds me of the Woodstocks / Suds & Suds situation on Kings. read more
