This is honestly my favorite bar in town. It's a family business and they're such good people. Thirsty beers on tap (get it?) and it's legit the best taplist in town. I love the food. You must try the smash burgers here if you're a burger fan. Try to come when tomatoes are in season (as they buy great seasonal tomatoes rather than the usual Cisco garbage toms, and omitted them when they aren't good). They also have homemade soups every day. The food is smaller portions, but prices are unbeatable, and it's like home cooking. The customers are also great. They're a community, and a real feature. The best thing about this place is that they break the cost down by volume. Growler, half growler (both available there), 12, 10, 5, and 3 ounce options. There's pressurized growler fillers, Untappd electronic menus, and even BBQ on Sundays from a third party. There are always a bunch of rotating beers, local favourites and far off specials. Excellent selection of beers on tap! And a few ciders and meads. With 30 or more to choose from, you're bound to find something you like. They refill growlers too so you can take them home if you'd like. They also pressurize your growler so if you don't drink it tonight, it'll be nice and bubbly when you get around to it. Fantastic addition to southtown! It's great for us because it's literally just down the street. They have a great rotating selection and awesome chart of details and how much is left (good to know whether you should jump on it or wait until next week!). 5 stars for excellent customer service and friendly staff. This place really feels neighborly. 3 stars for ambiance. It's a nice place, but some more tables and/or decoration could really spruce up the place. And I know it's strictly a beer place, but, just a few snacks would be fantastic (chips/salsa, pretzels, pita/hummus, fries, nuts, etc.). Recommended! read more

Cute establishment with 30+ local beers on tap. The selection is wide and features both well known and obscure breweries from the Pacific Northwest. They have started doing BBQ on Sundays from 3-6pm and it is phenomenal! The BBQ pork is tasty and tender, even without the sauce, and adding the sauce made it all the better! There is art from local artists on the walls, board games available, and bar, table and casual seating. It stays fairly calm in this bar, in contrast to some of the establishments closer to the college. Overall Beer 30 is a real gem. read more

Great place to get a diverse selection of local and regional craft beers. Prices for pints and growlers are great. The tap list is constantly rotating and is accessible from their website, so its a great place to find something you're craving. They allow outside food if you pick up a burrito first from next door (Burrito Heaven)...life is better with a beer and burrito. read more

This new beer bar/growler filling station happens to be very conveniently located on the route from Newport to I-5, so we stopped in on our way back from the beach. Glad we did; the selection of brews was first-rate, and the staff made us feel right at home. Several of the other folks at the bar seemed to be regulars already, and gave the place a sense of community. We tried 2 sampler trays (4 small pours for $1 per) and a couple of pints. Their 30 taps are mostly from interesting local breweries, but a few other selections from Colorado, Seattle, and California (loved the Anderson Valley barrel aged stout!). Just having opened, their kitchen equipment isn't operational yet, but should be soon. In the meantime, they were offering free peanuts to keep the beer from going straight to your head. read more

This place is a little small, but is still the best place for good beer in Corvallis (or really anywhere in Oregon that I know of). The employees are all super nice and helpful, the selection is excellent, they only tap the best of local brews (to always include at least a couple hard ciders and meads for those girlfriend's that sadly do not enjoy beer). Dear Lord, could the staff be ANY worse? Seriously, these people embody the millennial slacker culture. Bored, uninterested, act like you should give them a medal for pouring a pint. Could they be any less interested in their job? The beer selection is good, but with all the other pubs and growler fill places in the area, I'm not sure why this place still exists with such a crappy staff. A month or so ago I visited Beer 30 to get my growler filled with Mac and Jacks African Amber. I have been here a few times because of their great beer selection. I walked up to the bar and a older man (tall, brown hair) was standing behind the bar. I said hello, I would like to fill this with Mac and jacks. He did NOT say hello... or anything at all. He just held his hand out. So I assumed he wanted my ID, which I had, ready for him, being 23 years old in a college town and knowing he would ask. He stared at it for a good three minutes, possibly because I'm from out of state. He then handed it back to me and grabbed my growler, took his sweet time filling it, set it down after it was finished, waited on a few customers, then finally brought it over. Then Says, "Ten dollars" took my card and handed me my receipt with NO...Thank you, Have a nice day.... NOTHING. I was astonished as to how rude, condescending, and what terrible customer service this man presented me. I recently moved here from Seattle where I bartended for two years and have to say, if he was any where other then "South Town" Corvallis, he would be unemployed or out of business. I will never go back just because of this man. Just because Corvallis is a college town does not mean you treat every young person like they're showing you a fake ID. Which I am assuming is why I received this treatment. Or maybe he needs some better communication skills. read more
