    Smash burger from Daddyburger

Love, love, LOVE this space on 4th Ave in Downtown Tucson!! I was recently in town visiting family and noticed it while having a weekend night out for some drinks on Fourth Avenue - I'm not sure how new it is but I hasn't seen it before and thought it looked pretty cool! Its Boxyard name comes from the various shipping containers that make up most of the buildings inside. It reminded me of Container Park in Las Vegas and similar places in Downtown Austin. I'm very excited that Tucson has a place like this now too!! We were there on a Saturday night, so it was very crowded with a DJ playing in the back, yet it was still open and spacious enough to have plenty of breathing room. I also loved how there's more than one bar for grabbing drinks at and a few food options - we got a couple of smash burgers from Daddyburger inside and they were GREAT!! Took a little while to be ready but it was a busy Saturday night, so understandable. Definitely make sure to add the arugula and pickles to it - loved the extra textures and crunch. The burger hit the spot and the fries were solid McDonald's type fries. Other food options inside included a Mexican food/burrito spot with several vegan options and also a sandwiches/snacks thing! We ended up just eating, drinking, and dancing to the music the whole night there. It was a blast!! It also looked like a great spot for just hanging out or getting some food whenever during the day or the week. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

We stumbled upon the BOXYARD on a random weekday afternoon after just moving to the area. What a pleasant surprise! A fun variety of food options, and beers on tap. The vibe is so fun, I can only imagine how cool this place is at night on a weekend. We shared a delicious sandwich and a couple of yummy brews.

The ambience was amazing. So many options for food and seating. We had an interaction with an employee at Daddy Burger that really put me off. I hope we didn't interrupt his conversation by being there. The rest of our interactions were pleasant and the food was amazing.

Drinks, food, music, and a crowd. What more can you ask for located in Tucson on fourth Avenue this little spot is great. Plenty of choices of food to choose from different bars all serving up some amazing drinks one of the great ones. The Tucson Gatorade is a must try.. No The music be blasting all the greatest songs from new school to old school. I'm sure everyone will find something either to eat or drink and enjoy.

Great spot for happy hour drinks in downtown Tucson when the weather is nice outside! Love the laid back outdoor seating, quick service, and they have several different food options (Burgers, Vietnamese, & Mexican). It reminds me of those food truck stops, however they are all housed in shipping containers instead.

Our first time trying this place, out of curiosity. We came on a Sunday night with my family, it's not crowded, which is a good thing. Getting a table was not a hassle. It's a food court concept and the booths are made out of shipping containers, which is really cool. At the time of my visit there are two bars that are open and Indian, Mexican, Vietnamese and pizza place that are open. There's pretty much good selection. It's pretty much for the younger generation, they have music playing on the background. I like the fact they check for ID if you're planning to drink alcoholic beverages, as you enter the place. Just don't expect a clean restroom, so you won't get disappointed.

I came here Saturday night with some friends. I thought both the Morgan's Bong Water and The Thomas were too bitter (with The Thomas a little less bitter). I loved It's Britney, Betch (with Hendricks) and would get this again. Service was friendly. I love that they put the cocktail menu on a post by the bar.

Finally we had chance to try this place. Previously we came around 11.30am and only 1 booth was open so we canceled to try. This time we come around 7pm, there is a person greeted us and said we are ok because it will be for 21 and above after 8pm. We ordered from Sal's 2 slices of pizza. I asked for the sausage & pepper with no pepper because its for kids, the guy who serve us is very nice, he understand and even ofer to cut the pizza into 4 slices. Me & my husband ordered from Nhu Lan. All food are delicious. The Mexican booth is already closed, so we can't try them.

This place was clean and cool. We loved the out of the box idea for this restaurant. I gave it a 3 because the meat was a little salty.

It's a cool place with little to no seats so if you want to enjoy a good drink or a bite get ready to be on your feet.

Ask the Community - The Boxyard

    Can kids come in?

    Yes

Can Boxyard hold large group for example A party of 30?

It's a very large space and could comfortably hold that many people in one party, but when we were there on a Saturday afternoon, there wasn't a single seat open for even just two of us to sit.

    Are they dog friendly?

Yes. I have never had my dogs there but I've seen people with theirs.

Does anyone know if they have a good selection of non-spicy foods?

I think so. Most of the spices/sauces are on the side

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

The brisket was delicious, the sourdough was top tier, and the tomatoes, spinach, and gyure cheese all worked so well together with the sausage gravy on top...I was in heaven. It came topped with two perfectly poached eggs and the side potatoes were tremendous. Perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and starchy on the inside. We also got the Chilaquiles Verde and I was super impressed. The pork was incredibly moist and again they absolutely nailed the poached eggs. The green chile sauce had great flavor without being overly spicy, which I appreciated because I like flavor but not too much heat first thing in the morning. The tortilla strips stayed crispy the whole time and it came with a side of mixed fruit, which is always a winner in my book. Of course I couldn't pass up dessert. We tried the lemon blueberry lavender olive oil cake, which is gluten free. It was pretty crumbly (maybe due to being gf?) and I'm probably still 50/50 on lavender as a flavor, but overall it was pretty good. The coconut cream pie was the real standout for me though. Super creamy with great coconut flavor and the slice was huge! Our waiter did a pretty good job and even though the patio was fairly busy, it stayed comfortable because everything was shaded. There were a few flies hanging around, but that is kind of the tradeoff for sitting outside. The interior dining room looked really cute too, so maybe next time I'll try sitting inside. Overall, I liked it and there's a few more things on the menu I want to try so I'll definitely be back. It was a great little brunch spot.
