It Had the longest wait time I waited an hour an half the service wasn't great I gave it two stars and not one because the food was decent

After a day of hiking at Arches, we were tired, dirty, and starved. We didn't want to sit down for dinner, so we ordered takeout, to take back to our apartment. Great choice! We had the BBQ combo with tri-tip, pulled pork, and ribs. We chose the slaw and sweet potato fries as sides. For two of us, it was just enough. The meat was cooked perfectly and very delicious. The sides were also tasty. A great meal! read more

BBQ was amazing, and the atmosphere and blues music in the bar was so much fun. Loved it!

Absolutely phenomenal food and the service was wonderful!!! The BBQ was out of this world and the pig wings in garlic buffalo was to die for!!! This is a must visit place if your heading to Moab!! Brandon was a fabulous server as well! Definitely a 150% AWESOME read more

My second time here, I got the 12oz prime rib. Medium rare. With sweet potato fries and a house salad. The waitress Jauana was a bit rushed and pushy to get the orders taken. Sweet lady though. The cost of beer is just plain sad (but this is Utah so it's expected. $7 for a 12oz bottle of Uinta Dubhe Imperial Black IPA. And it's a Utah beer as well! :( read more

Best pulled pork and onion rings I've ever had! We got our order to go and we didn't notice they missed the sauce in the box till we got back to the hotel. We called and they made it right with pecan pie...also delicious!! Wish we lived close enough to return. read more

Amazingly great BBQ and cool vibe place. Ate in the bar which is decorated great and very comfortable w good tunes playing....reggae tonight! We're pork rind fans and they make their own here- O.M.G.! They come to the table perfectly cooked and still crackling! Had the 3 meat combo of tri tip, brisket and turkey. Everything was great but what stood out was the turkey. First you don't c this very often and this just melted in ur mouth with a perfect smokey flavor. Large choices for sides and a lot of beer and cocktails to choose from. If we were here another night we'd b right back there. A must do in Moab!!! read more

Excellent food and service. The last 3 years we've come to EJS we've eaten here several times during the week and have never been disappointed. We've dined inside, on the patio and even have enjoyed eating in the bar area while enjoying the live bands. This is the "go to" destination for dinner while in Moab. read more

I don't know what happened here. A few months ago we came here and the food and service was spot on. We came back into town this past week ranting and raving about how good the food was and brought friends along to try it out. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! All of our dishes were terrible!! To say the least!! My daughters fries were severely under cooked more like blanched. We had a total eight separate dishes and every one of them either was burnt, dry, under cooked and the flavor was just off. Super glad non of us got food poisoning. The only positive thing about going to the restaurant was our wonderful waitress, if it wasn't for her fun personality and kindness it would have gotten one star. Sad to say, we won't be going back, this experience was so off-putting there won't be second chances. read more

We all loved our meals. Our waiter, Mike was great. He and the kitchen we're very responsive to my gluten free/Celiac's dietary issues. Enjoyed the music. Highly recommend. read more

Little disappointed...ribs fell off the bone which you would think would good, but the tender meat turned a little mushy in my mouth. Guess there is a difference between wet and moist. Baked beans were not great and coleslaw tasted bland. Best thing about our meal was the great music. read more

Loved this place! Unfortunately we came too late for the live music, but the bar was cozy and friendly. Although we were the last few people here Brandi was so friendly and reassured us we could stay us as long as we liked! Only in town for a few nights so it was nice after a long day of traveling. The wings were delicious! I highly recommend this place. read more

The thought of bbq sounded great...until we went in. The food tasted good. But service was not good. The waitress was a little rude not friendly. It was very overpriced for what you get. Would not go back. read more

Excellent service! We had a group of 20 and the service was the best I have ever had for that large of a group. We tried a lot of dishes between our group and everyone was happy with their food. One of the favorites was the Big 'N Nasty, it was huge and so full of flavor, share it as an appetizer or get it for your main dish! We will for sure be back next time we are in town! read more

Really good BBQ. Fair prices. Great service. Ask for Babs! We shared the combo plate plus I added a loaded baked potato. We sat outside which was a treat this late in the season. read more

Burnt Ends were amazing! Atmosphere was great, but those Burt Ends were really good. I will definitely be back next time I come through Moab! read more

This restaurant shares a large parking area with the La Quinta Inn & Suites, where we were staying, so it was more than convenient. Since we had our dog with us, we needed outdoor seating, which they could provide, fully covered and with heaters that weren't necessary the night we dined there. They were very dog friendly. A typical barbecue joint menu, along with a long list of craft brews and cocktails. The "top shelf" margarita we each ordered was fine, not super sweet, but with no real distinction. At $14, we expected a drink with more interest. The smoked brisket was dry and not particularly flavorful, though the fries and baked beans that came along with it were good. A cobb salad is typically made with iceberg lettuce; here, it was a sort of spring mix, an odd substitute. Maybe they'd had sourcing problems because of the pandemic? We were pleased with the outdoor patio seating and with the restaurant's dog friendly policy. Just wish the food had been worth writing about. read more

I hate to leave a review like this because I'm not one to complain. We ate here today and both were let down. I had ordered two meat combo(trip tip/burnt ends with homemade slaw and hush puppies) and she ordered the wings. We also started with battered green beans. I will say the green beans were tasty. Both my burnt ends/try-tip were dry and tough, really lacked the smoked/bbq flavor. She ended up only eating 3 of her wings because there was what looked like hair on the wings. I had seen a review somewhere on here stating the same thing. Service was okay, nothing wrong on that end. We were really hoping to love this place. Unfortunately I'd say this has been my worst bbq I've experienced thus far. read more

Found this place driving thru town yesterday! Did not disappoint. Had the two meat platter with 2 sides. Had a lot of options for the sides - I had turkey and burnt ends with green beans and baked potato. You won't go home hungry! read more

I absolutely loved this place. Very friendly staff and our food came out at a decent time. The pricing is pretty good for the type of restaurant that it is. I had ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazinggg, I strongly recommend ordering it. I am a super picky eater and I loved it! read more

Wow. We have come through Moab every year and were really pleased to see this restaurant come to town. As a southerner o was worried that the bbq would be inauthentic. It was fabulous and the service was superb. Melena was charming and fast and gave us good advice on menu choices. No need to deal with so so food and snarly service at Pasta Jays or other Moab standards. Blue Pig is the real deal. And after living in Texas and Oklahoma for twenty years, I disagree w/Mackenzie that it's not "real BBQ." Utah folks CAN make good BBQ and they do at the Blue Pig. We'll be back. read more

Very decent BBQ. Could really taste the smoke in my prime rib. Cooked fairly well, (I ordered rare). Good selection of meats, burgers and the like. Somewhat limited draft beer selection. Noise level was normal inside. Had outdoor seating with water misters. Definitely affordable meals and good serving size. Not bad for kids. I'd go back if I were craving BBQ. read more

A tab pricey for BBQ but very good! We came in for a late dinner, I ordered a combo with sausage and tri-tip and my fiancé ordered one with burnt ends. The tri-tip was hands down my favorite but everything we ordered was amazing! It was so good we came back the next day for lunch! The the service is good too. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. read more

Good food and service. I must note, that during our 5 day stay in Moab we came to this conclusion, all our food was okay, none was spectacular. This place I would go back to if in Moab. read more

We were skeptical due to the mediocre rating but I'm glad we took a chance. Our server, Jordan was very personable and provided super fast service. We had pork rinds for an appetizer and they were delicious and crackly as they arrived at our table. The gumbo was very savory and had enough spiciness. We had half a rack of ribs and tri tip sandwich. Servings were generous and good. read more

Gruel. We ordered pulled pork, and two sides. The beans and rice had no rice. The corn muffins were a pile of crumbled bits before we took a bite. The server with his groovy hair and smile was fine, but this place has no sensibility about how to serve plates that look appetizing, let alone pull off being delicious once you get past the placid plating. The pile of pulled meat was simply plopped on the ungarnished plate like a prison platter at the pen. Non-descript bottles of various sauce sat idle nearby, mocking us to try them all until we found one we liked-which we didn't. No help with a label or info from the server. For the prices they charge, you'd expect much more in terms of a dining experience. But, if you just busted out somewhere, or have a hog that needs slopping, feel free to pull your mule up and plop your cheeks down on a savory BBQ splattered stool and dig in. BYOB (bib) as the trough style ploop of poop they put in front of you might be best suited for one on all fours. read more

Best service I had during my stay in Moab.

Friendly staff and decent food. Great place to watch a football game. Happy that it was open during off season too since the Moab Brewery was closed. BBQ is tasty, the mac and cheese is yummy, but skip the beans and the potato salad. Love that they have multiple kinds of barbecue sauce at the table for you to try with your meats. Gotta have the pulled pork tho, it is the best of the meats we tried (ribs, brisket, pulled pork). If you have room for dessert, have the dutch apple pie a la mode. Very tasty! read more

Local to Moab and this is one of my staples. I love this place, I haven't had anything here that I didn't like. Favorites are the Turkey Bacon Melt and Beefy Texan. read more

A group of 18 of us were down in Moab over New Years celebrating my birthday. We had stopped at Blu Pig for our last evening in Moab and were treated horribly. The winter is a slower season in Moab and the restaurant was by no means crowded but as soon as our group walked in the staff became so flustered and hostile towards us. They were unable to find room for us in the main dining area so they asked if we all had our ID's so they could seat us in the bar. We said that we did so they began setting up the tables but then we realized we had someone under 21 (he was the cousin of a friend and no one knew he was only 20). When we told the hostess she went into the kitchen, which is around the corner within ears distance and began talking crap. We could hear the staff making extremely rude comments about us without even trying to be discrete. Right then we decided to leave. I am not going to give my business to a restaurant that can't accommodate a group of 18 people and allows their staff to act the way they did. We talked to the manager before we left and he was just as bad as the rest of the staff. Give your business to someone else in town. read more

Loved the atmosphere, really enjoyed the staff. Their blu cheese burger was really good. We also left with a couple of 50th Easter Jeep Safari pint glasses! read more

The Burnt Ends were exquisite: crispy and smoky. Prices here are a little steep, but you can definitely share and it will be enough food for 2 people. The gumbo is spicy, but if you like spice then you MUST try it! read more

Last year I would have given this place two stars, it was pretty awful. But I decided to give it another shot after a client recommended it, I was not disappointed this time. I got a half rack of dry ribs, which needed no sauce. Very flavorful and falling off the bone. I can eat a lot and I could only finish half of the half, you get a ton of meat. I was with a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed it very much. The service was decent, a little slow but not bad. I'll be back next year for sure! read more

Great BBQ food. I loved the ribs, tri-tip and smoked turkey. Definitely worth going back to and trying more. Waitress was nice and did her job well. No complaints at all. read more

After being turned away by fancier fare in town (they seemed insulted that we even suggested we could walk in and eat without a reservation) found the Blu at the end of the strip. Looked like a contrived/urban BBQ restaurant but they take their food seriously; great quality along with laid back fun atmosphere. Side dishes are not overlooked and done well. Though wife did not like her meal my tri tips were perfect. When server saw wife not eating too much, proactively offered something else or full refund. Additionally he was attentive and gracious start to finish for our meal. Extensive food and drink menu. They have a dining bar great if you dine alone. Baseball caps and casual is dress code though dressed up would not be out of place. read more

Maybe we were here on a bad night. I don't know how a restaurant and "blues" club could provide such a horrendous experience without trying hard to be this awful. Let's start with the food. The highlight of the meal was the delicious corn muffins with cinnamon butter. From that point it was straight downhill. Wife and I tried the baby back ribs, dry rubbed instead of floating in bbq sauce. Problem was, the meat was so over cooked that all flavor was gone and it turned into a dry paste in your mouth that was very harddresse to swallow. The three sauces at the table didn't seem to help. Creating a sauce with this little taste and spice must have taken a lot of effort. Okay, the meal was horrendous, but, as serious blues fans, we were really looking forward to the "Live Music Tonight " as the sign out front proclaims. Only one musician, but, that's okay, a solid blues man can be truly wonderful. Not this guy. Wearing the same clothes I'm sure he wore to his day job at the pig farm, this man literally and figuratively stunk. We forced ourselves to stay for 30 minutes. It was difficult, but we were trying to be nice. I've spent a lifetime seeking out blues music all over the world. I could not recognize ANY songs or lyrics, any vague rhythms, any familiar guitar licks. He is the worst musician I have ever heard. I don't know if I will ever get his performance out of my head. If you look at my other reviews, you will see that I rarely give negative reviews. I derive no pleasure in trashing anyone. But this place is so terrible I see this as a public service. One other thing. We sat next to a couple sucking each other's tongues out of their mouths, not at closing time, but 6:30 pm. No one said a word to them. It was disgusting enough, but then they disappeared into the ladies room, and proceeded to have wild loud sex while everyone in the place heard it all. A perfect ending to the whole experience. read more

We stopped here for dinner while on our road trip. I thought the food was pretty average. We split a combo plate with tri-tip and brisket with beans and slaw. We had pretty good service. Drinks were good but I've definitely had better BBQ. read more

Absolutely the best BBQ I've ever had! The brisket, tri tip and pulled pork were all fantastic. The corn muffins with cinnamon sugar butter were also great! Very quick and friendly service. read more

the voodoo chicken was amazing! perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy in the inside...i got the sweet potato fries and gumbo as the sides and they didn't disappoint. the wings were okay but overall not bad. the atmosphere was very chill and our server was amazing, she was super helpful and didn't make us feel like we were asking for too much. i'd give it a try. read more

The food was not good. The atmosphere was weird. The manager is defensive in all poor reviews when in reality the manager is why I gave it such a poor review. I had to send a plate back and she came to the table and proceeded to argue with me when I asked for the bill to be adjusted. It's a weird way to do business. Whatever the case, we won't be back. read more
