The food was not good. The atmosphere was weird. The manager is defensive in all poor reviews when in reality the manager is why I gave it such a poor review. I had to send a plate back and she came to the table and proceeded to argue with me when I asked for the bill to be adjusted. It's a weird way to do business. Whatever the case, we won't be back. read more

BBQ is ok, nothing remarkable. Our server was marginal (off night maybe). Beer choice is limited. Small crowd for dinner on Sat night. Looks like a good family place. read more

This place is decent although personally I've had better food at Friday's. What makes this place appealing is the atmosphere and proximity to the La Quinta Moab . They share a parking lot. The staff was wonderful and they had a small band playing which offered nice atmosphere. read more

Just had dinner. Service was great, Kate took good care of us. The ribs fell off the bone! Good place to eat! read more

Brought the whole family here for lunch. We had just finished looking at Newspaper Rock, and we were all starving. Decided to go here, because it's hard to go wrong with BBQ. Everyone in the family can usually find something. Such was the case in this instance! Everyone liked what they got, and the waitress who helped us was incredibly professional, and answered all of our questions. I am unsure if there are other BBQ joints in town, but if we'd stayed in town longer, we likely would have come back again. read more

I certainly was not expecting a bbq place in Moab, UT let alone a place with great quality bbq! We sat in the bar area so we could listen to the blues band that was playing, but still received table service which was great. After a full day of hiking it was nice to unwind with good food and awesome music. The bbq sandwich was great and the sweet tea was awesome. We ordered a hash brown casserole to split but I wasn't impressed; just not the casserole I'm used to I guess so no hard feelings! Husband said his brisket was really tough though, other than that it was a great experience all around! read more

Staying at a nearby hotel, and decided to try this place. What I did not like was that there was no seating for a solo person except in the bar. No problem, really, as when i am traveling alone I have come to expect this. What was kind of disappointing was that it took an hour to get food after I ordered, and two people who ordered after me got theirs before I did. The food was average. There was also a pretty big draft in the bar whenever someone opened and outside door, so most of the customers were wearing their coats to stay warm. The music in the bar was live, and pretty good. Food was a bit expensive for what you get. The main thing is I probably would have spent more with this place by ordering more drinks and dessert, but I did not want to have to wait any more once I saw how long it took to get the main course. I give it three stars because the food was okay, and the staff were friendly, even though they were likely a little short handed or maybe disorganized on their systems for getting food out of the kitchen faster. read more

Don't listen to the bad reviews. Service and prices are bad almost everywhere in Moab (yeah, servers are just horrible everywhere there... no smiles, no sense of "hustle", etc). This place had big portions so the price premium is easier to swallow. Tri tip and pulled pork was definitely 4 out of 5 stars. My wife doesnt care for BBQ but liked her pork sandwich (good bun too). Love the free filler cornbread. Sweet potato fries and regular fried are just "ehh". So try a different side. I'm from Alabama so you can trust my review on BBQ. read more

Yummy!!! Fun place for the fam! Got the three near plate with brisket, burnt ends, and pulled pork. Cornbread muffins were awesome and the cinnamon butter was off the hook! Great food and awesome service! read more

After a day in Arches Park this is a must do refilling station! We had the gumbo which was perfectly seasoned and hearty. The pulled pork burger is double decadence with pork on top of 1/2 lb burger. It was cooked perfectly topped with some great slaw. Only issue was my bottom bun drowning in delicious sauce (a great problem lol!). The red bean and rice were the perfect carb load after a day of hiking as well. Season our server was great! And it is one of the few places to have a 3.2 draft w/o ordering food.. Yea for that! read more

After long day of driving we had a great meal with quick and efficient service The bbq and sauces were excellent Great service from Orlando read more

The food is really good and homemade. The staff is super good. Christina is our favorite. I would highly recommend this place.

We were there two years ago during Jeep Safari and we will go again! Great food, great service and, good music!

Really good wait service. Somehow our order didn't go through so we waited, but thy were apologetic and the music was great. I had the tri-tips and sweet potato. My hubby had the gumbo side. All were delicious. read more

Great place + service - stopped due to a recommendation from another restaurant in the morning. Ribs = great cold beer and after walking all day looking at ROCkS - this was a great way to end the day - highly recommend- this is the real deal - ask for Niki she knows the menu read more

What I liked: The food. What I didn't like: The hour wait for my food after I ordered. This restaurants food could have earned it a 4-5 star rating had it been matched by great service and a better job of cleaning the BBQ sauce off the menus. My wife had the 8 oz Pulled Pork meal. She loved it and with the included side dishes was more than she could eat. My daughter and I opted for the Pulled Pork sandwiches. Loved them. My daughter enjoyed a sweet potato and I liked Hush Puppies. Keeping hungry folks waiting an hour isn't reasonable. At least warn us so we either leave of order an appetizer. Or, maybe just offer us some bread to keep us entertained while waiting for our meals. Just to be clear, it wasn't the half hour wait for a table, the hostess advised us of that. It was the hour wait after we ordered. read more

The bbq fries were pretty good and they also have a surprisingly good gumbo, not something I expected from a restaurant in the middle of the desert Utah. read more

Amazing service, burgers, and atmosphere. Give the Horses's Neck a try in the bar. Meagan was our server and she was amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the menu. read more

The Blu Pig is Green! I've taken large groups to The Blu Pig for several years. They have been trending down and they blew it last night. They had three waitresses helping us at first but that quickly changed. 6 of our group rec'd food 30 minutes before the rest of is who had to wait 60 mins. They forgot our salad, screwed up our orders, wings tasted like they were cooked with a butane torch. Got another order and the were exactly the same. Bad service, bad food, and very slow!! Save your time and money and go to Susies Branding Iron read more

My wife and I stopped for dinner tonight and ordered 1/2 rack of ribs between us. It was more than two could handle so we boxed up the remainder for another time. Wait staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Service was uniquely fast. The ribs were as good as any we have tried. We would go back another day. read more

Service was excellent. Catfish po' boy was good. Pretty standard food for a BBQ joint

There's no reason this shouldn't be a 5 start excellent! Texas girl loved the burnt ends and husband loved the Texas Burger. Holy cow. Great food & beer! read more

Great BBQ! Excellent choices ! Great wait staff too! Wonderful sides and portions!

I went here because I was staying at the La Quinta but thoroughly enjoyed my food. I had a catfish sandwich with a sweet potato and my daughter had the chicken fingers. The fish was crispy and the chicken was juicy. I would come here again even if I wasn't staying at the neighboring hotel to try more! read more

I had their chicken wings - garlic buffalo ones...YUMMMM. End of story. :)

Solid BBQ place. The Voodoo chicken was good and the service was very fast. My dad got the turkey and he liked that as well. Nice blues ambiance with TV'S in certain areas showing sports. read more

Cool spot with good ambiance and fairly good service with a friendly staff. As a tourist it's a little more than I usually spend on BBQ. With that being said it pegs the question: is it worth it? I ordered the smoked brisket along with fried okra and sweet potato fries and some cornbread which was more of a corn muffin. The sides by themselves were good and I really have no complaints but what disappointed me was the brisket. I'm very particular about BBQ, brisket especially, and this just let me down in most of the categories that make a good brisket. They relied too heavily on the smoke for flavor which I admit sounds backwards for me to say but, the seasoning on the brisket plays a vital role in adding a better flavor profile and a better bark. The smoke time also was a little long for me. Says 12 hour smoke on the menu, which I believe is too long, desired internal temp could definitely be reached sooner. All that being said, my answer is no it's not worth. But don't let my experience deter you from giving this place a try. It's a really cool place with a great atmosphere and my family enjoyed their food, so the place is a good place to grub after a long day hiking assuming you order the right things. read more

Perfect pit stop from our trip from salt lake to Moab. The ribs were delicious and the service was great!

For a small town the food was decent. Coming from a bigger city the food tasted liked diner food. The atmosphere has a good vibe and the customer service was efficient. read more

This was our first restaurant experience in Moab. The food was delicious! And many options to choose from. I had the Cobb salad topped with smoked turkey. My husband had the two meat combo plate with turkey and brisket. The service was top notch too. Our server, Jordan, was attentive and informative. We'll definitely come back to the Blu Pig next time we're in Moab. read more

The waitress did not know much about the menu. Meat was dry. Cat fish was microwaved. Way over priced. Will not be returning

Not sure why the ratings were less than 4 stars but this is a first class BBQ eatery. We were "those" customers walking in 10 minutes before they closed on a Friday night. You'd expect that the service and the quality would be a little less than their best. No so! Everything was delicious. Smoked Prime Rib, Burnt Ends and Smoked Turkey were all outstanding. The Gumbo was incredible and the Peach Cobbler was the perfect finish. After a long day of biking and hiking, this late night meal with excellent service from Jordan was the perfect finish to the day. Thanks, Blu Pig! We will be back. read more

Yummy! My husband and I had the ribs and pulled pork. It was great! Sides were dirty rice and sweet potato. Wine and sweet tea perfect!

Food was ok, but possibly the worst service ever!!! Slow clueless server. Got almost everything wrong. Screwed up drink order. Screwed up the baked potato order on multiple levels that I could right paragraphs on and would seem like I was making things up. Salads came after dinner, seriously. Completely botched the check. They had live music, but there was a large TV right in front of the stage. Do yourself a favor and go to Buck's. read more

Pulled pork, coleslaw, and sweet potato - awesome.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon it totally by chance after a long day of hiking around Arches. We were just looking for some cold beer so we sat down at the bar and the bartender was extremely attentive and quick to greet us. The bar stools and bar itself were all clean. Drinks came fast and we were having such a good time the beers turned into Jack and Cokes and a killer Bloody Mary, which came with a "Bacon Wrapped Blue Cheese Stuffed Olive"!! We decided to split the pulled pork sandwich and jalapeño app. The sandwich isn't going to change your life but the meat was cooked perfect and there were plenty of sauce options to meet your flavor needs. All in all this place was clean and had great service we will for sure return if in the area. read more

Much much too expensive for not great food. We were student visiting for an event and decided to go to a quality sit down restaurant and the food was mediocre for outrageous prices. read more

they were trying to charge me 18$ for a shot of cheap whiskey . Bar tender is not professional.

This place never disappoints. Every time we are in Moab, we have to go! The traditional barbecue sauce hit the spot. My husband had the brisket burger and he says that it was the best burger he has ever had. I had the prime rib sandwich and it hit the spot. Thanks Blu Pig :) read more

Everything stunk. The waiter was nice but really inexperienced. Dining area was freezing and so dark we needed to uses our cellphones to read the very expensive menu. The staff couldnt even figure out how to turn the over head fans off which were freezing us. The food was not good at all. The smoked tri tip must have been warmed up as it was only warm and like old shoe leather. Gumbo was like water, sauces were all watered down. Bad food, nice but inexperienced staff and really expensive. It is obviously owned by a non food person and no sign of ownership on site. There were not even toothpicks available, that should tell you something. read more
