Fantastic barbecue! Got to try a few different meats that they offer and they were all great. Anyone who manages to make the burnt ends of meat tender and juicy deserves a great review in my opinion. Food was slow in coming, tiny side salad on a saucer, really? The pulled pork was possibly frozen and reheated, very mushy, and the sweet potato fries were a little limp. I know it's hard to get them crispy, but it can be done. No butter or honey with the cornbread tiny muffin! My meal was a bust. My husband had the baby backs and said they were ok. The dirty rice was bland. We went because of good reviews on Yelp. Come on people, we're here to help each other. Blues music in the bar sounded good and beer selection was fair. While on Main Street in Moab, it is "off the beaten path." We came here after not wanting to wait over 1 1/2 hours at a different place, and was pleasantly surprised. Sat down right away, on the patio, none the less. Very nice after a long day of hiking. Drinks came right away, and their Blue Pig Lager was really good. Probably the highlight of the visit. Food was average, especially for a town like Moab. Service was great. Would certainly visit again, mainly for the cold beer. read more

Dining at the blue pig tonight was anxiously awaited! We ate here a year before on a honeymoon and had high hopes as we were thoroughly impressed! However this dining experience was not as we had hoped. A friend and I shared he prime rib ( and almost $30 plate) and it came over cooked and a bit chewy. The staff was very happy to replace it and replace it with rib eye...unfortunately that also was over cooked. I must say the atmosphere and ambiance was very relaxing and inviting! I must say this BBQ was one of the most delicious ones for me. I got the baby back rubs which were fall off the bone tender, meaty and tasty. They have 3 BBQ sauces on the side you can drizzle which ranges from sweet to vinegar-sweet to vinegar spicy. My son got the Brisket burnt ends and enjoyed them thoroughly. The staff are super efficient and friendly. The table behind us were speaking French and our sever Angelique (super nice) started conversing with them in French. I really enjoyed our meal. My sister and I came here after a long hike in Arches. We couldn't have been happier with the pulled pork sandwich and combo with brisket, Cajun sausage and tri-tip. My sister, girlfriend and I came here after a hot day of hiking, feeling like we just wanted some BBQ. We came to the Blu Pig because the other BBQ place in town was closing soon. The poor review is more about our server rather than the food. The food okay, nothing overly special about it. The pulled pork was dry, the baby back ribs and burnt tips was good. Our server that night was Arielle from New Jersey, not that she told us that. She was professional and polite enough, but as we sat there eating, we overheard her having small talk with other tables, such as what they did that day, or where were they visiting from, but she didn't ask us anything. We don't necessarily need to be asked these things, but we do expect equal treatment. Arielle, keep up your friendly personality, but I do hope you treat all of your customers more equally in the future. read more

Best dinner I had of 3 nights in Moab ... place has a restaurant and bar/lounge with tables. I sat at the bar and the service was super quick and friendly. The smoked turkey was good, but the peppercorn BBQ sauce was incredible (I literally just ate sauce at some point.) Fries were homemade and hashbrown casserole was also delicious. The food was pretty good, service.... meh. I had the pulled pork and brisket. I'd put the pork somewhere around 3.5 stars as it was very flavorful and served in a good sauce. The brisket was pretty disappointing though. Bland / flavorless "meat" and unfortunately the sauces couldn't revive it. Kinda sad as it looked good - not overly lean with a nice smoke ring. My wife ordered the ribs and they were far and away the best thing on the table. I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. read more

We had several of the 2 Meat Combos at the table. The Carolina Pulled Pork was good, the Texas Beef Brisket was a little dry, but nothing a little sauce can't fix. Don't eat the smoked turkey... This restaurant was a little disappointing. Their brisket was not very tender and the cornbread was not great.

I got a full rack of ribs and split it with my brother. Perfect way to do it, it was the perfect amount of food. Ribs are delicious, they have great flavor and look great as well. Baked beans are alright, nothing special for sure. Staff is very friendly and don't bring your mom because she will try and take your cornbread. read more
