Breakfast Menu March 2026
Puka B.

We had breakfast here. We had the Bistro Breakfast and the Jackson Omelette. Both were delicious. The feel of the restaurant is French Brasserie and unlike any other restaurant in the Jackson area. Service was very good and attentive. I highly recommend giving them a visit!

We tried this restaurant out since we were staying in the cloudveil. We were looking for an easy dinner on a snowy night. It was a little too fancy for us with our little. The ambience wasn't as nice as the price tag. I think we just got a weird half booth seat in a galley hallway setting next to the entrance of the kitchen. I didn't understand the crayons and paper tablecloths but my little enjoyed coloring. Caesar salad was good along with the vegetable soup which might have been tomato. My husband got the trout which was thinner than expected. We wished that they had a kids menu with pizza but we made die with the pasta.

Wow! Where to begin with this lovely place! We were seated immediately and had an indoor table near the windows. The wait staff are friendly and efficient which was appreciated. The menu was great and had something for everyone. The bread basket was so yummy and we had to resist more bread. I had the chicken with a lovely corn slaw base and my fiance tried the duck (I believe!), which both were so decadent and delicious. 10/10 recommend trying this restaurant if you are in the area!

I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, especially given the upscale setting and the great vibe of the hotel itself--but unfortunately, the overall experience initially didn't live up to the price point or expectations aside from one stand out: Malachi, whose service recovery was exceptional. We started our evening at the rooftop bar around 6 PM and were surprised by how long it took to be acknowledged, especially since it wasn't particularly busy. It took about 20 minutes before a server came by, and while our drinks were fine, the service was not. We had a dinner reservation downstairs and were already running late, but when it came time to pay, our server, Daniela, was dismissive--she tossed the bill holder to my friend and then took another 10 minutes to run our payment while attending to every other table first. It felt unnecessarily inattentive. Once we joined the rest of our party for dinner, the experience didn't improve much. Drinks were slow to arrive, and our server disappeared for a long stretch, to the point where my cousin had to go find him just to place our food order. That said-- Malachi did his best to turn the night around. He came by to check in on us, and when I mentioned our concerns, immediately offered a sincere apology, brought out hot, fresh bread, and made sure our food was expedited so we could make our next activity at 8 PM. That level of attention and responsiveness was greatly appreciated. Food-wise, the Caesar salad was outstanding--easily a highlight. The peach salad was decent, but nothing remarkable. Most of our party was satisfied with their meal, but the steamed spinach was really salty. They did replace it and let the chef know. My branzino was disappointing in that it was not very flavorful. My friend's trout was excellent. At the end of the meal, they wanted to comp us with some desserts but unfortunately we didn't have time. But the server swiped our card....and charged us for the dessert. So he has to cancel out the bill and rerun it...and now we're late for our 8pm event. In summary, while the atmosphere and a standout staff member showed promise, the inconsistent service left a lot to be desired for a high-end dining experience.

Chocolate bread pudding

Fantastic dinner experience here. The outdoor seating area had shades that pulled down to protect from the sun, and our waiter had a great personality. We shared the tuna tartare appetizer, which was good, but my ricotta pillow entree, and my friend's short rib, were delicious. We also shared the chocolate bread pudding for dessert and it was equally fabulous.

Decent Caesar salad (1/2)
Daria S.

Expensive for the quality of the food. Food is good but not great. Meals run about $100 per person. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery. The sauce also overpowered the flavor of the scallops. Caesar salad was decent. Braised short ribs were good too. Cocktails were good. Service was excellent. Décor is lovely and modern.

Order the Pork Chop! ...and the Old Fashioned! Wow! If you are in Jackson, take time to visit The Bistro! Food and service were amazing. Both kids have celiac and the staff and restaurant were very accommodating highlighting GF and Vegan meals on the menu. Order the Pork Chop.

Everything was very tasty and on point. Prices were reasonable in our opinion, and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, David, was very attentive and friendly. Will be back soon

Moules Frites (Mussles and french fries)

The Bistro on Center Street in Jackson, WY is a delicious French inspired restaurant in the lobby of the Cloudveil Hotel the menu ranging from traditional wishes, such as coq au vin and duck confit to pork chops. There are some delicious seafood items as well from trout to barramundi. I ordered the calamari and moules frites (mussels and french fries). I thought the calamari was fabulous- super good light and delicious. The moules frites were also super delicious fresh and flavorful. The muscles were some of the best I have had cooked in a garlic butter sauce with cherry tomatos. I have never tried the two together before, but the tomatos added a subtle sweetness to the dish. I was seated at the bar. I ordered a Wyoming Whiskey boulevardier cocktail. It was OK. I thought it was a bit heavy on the vermouth but other than that it was pretty good. The interior of the restaurant is a little bit industrial, but it does a good job incorporating. A Parisian feel similar to other bistros and cafés in France. The service was pretty good, but the restaurant was busy when I was there. Overall, I would say my den experience was an 8.5 out of 10. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

We came here to celebrate my aunt's 63rd birthday, and although we were seated later than expected, the staff more than made up for it. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. As an apology for the wait, they treated us to a free appetizer and two desserts, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food was absolutely delicious, and they even did a special little celebration and sang for my aunt, which made her night feel extra special. Overall, a very satisfactory experience, and I would definitely recommend this bistro to anyone visiting Jackson.

Appetizers (lots of Gluten Free)
Donna P.

The service was amazing. The menu has a lot of Gluten Free items. The food was good and so were the drinks. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the $78, 35 day dry aged steak. I got it medium rare and it was so chewy and dry that I couldn't eat any more of it. My husband and step adult-child took a bite and both looked like they were struggling to chew it. The video I caught was actually funny since they had the same facial reactions. *like father, like child* The place was great, just don't order the most expensive steak on the menu. Go for the meatloaf like I should have.

Diane D.

Great service. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was good. Very excited to find raw oysters in Jackson. The outdoor dining vibe was great too.

Duck confit

The Bistro is what you should expect from a top shelf restaurant in Jackson, a good fine dining experience. It's big and energetic and busy. The menu is a traditional bistro offering, with a limited selection of appetizers, salads, soups and entrees. Based on our dinners, the duck and the meatloaf, the execution was good. Our martinis were fine but small, and the by the glass wine list is adequate. Because of the location and clientele, prices are full. We're glad we chose the Bistro.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

Reservations are not taken, instead you will find the host making people scoot to make room for new arrivals at the long tables. Our servers were spot-on with service, drinks and sharing her favorites. It is cozy and casual, people meeting people. The spirits here are for the pros with knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and bubbles. We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. But the server convinced me to order the signature rack of lamb at The Blue Lion and I swear it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost cried at the table. At one point I stopped talking entirely and just stared at the plate like I was having a spiritual experience. Was it expensive? Yes. Did they offer my wife a birthday dessert? They did not. Did I briefly consider licking the plate in public anyway? Also yes. None of it matters because that lamb transcended earthly cuisine. I will be 87 years old in a rocking chair still whispering about "that lamb in Jackson Hole." I don't know what dark culinary pact was made in that kitchen, but I support it fully. I swear... I have been to quite a few cowboy cookouts in my day and this looked like fun. Bar T 5 takes you out on horse-drawn covered wagons to a remote area where you are treated to dinner and a show. They have been doing this show since 1974. The meeting place itself is in the outskirts of Jackson. After checking in, you are given a brief history of the area and an overview of the schedule. There is a gift shop on hand and you can see some of the horses in the corral. After loading up on the wagon, you ride a couple miles to Cache Creek Canyon. Along the way, some outlaws ride up on horses to try and "hijack" the wagons. Once you arrive, you are seated until you hear the dinner bell ring to tell you food is ready. Dinner includes barbeque pork medallion, roast beef, salad, baked beans, corn, bread and a brownie. Food is served buffet style and isn't too bad. They allow seconds once everyone is served. I enjoyed the entertainment. The Bar T 5 band plays some old country songs mixed in with a little humor. They try to provide a setting that reminds you of the days of singing songs around a campfire. The girl on the fiddle worked the crowd and was the best part. I'm a big camper and love the outdoors and glad I signed up for this.
