One of my favorite places to eat in Jackson. This time we sat at a high top in the bar. We were quite comfortable and I thought it was quieter then the some of the tables in dining room. The service was excellent. The. food was fantastic. I had the steak fritz and my vegetarian niece had the ricotta pillows and our friend had the venison. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Bartender and food were amazing!! Beet salad was absolutely delicious, quail and short rib were really good. I'm pregnant and want to come back when I'm not to try their raw bar. Atmosphere was great and clean restrooms also. Would definitely go back. read more

We were here during the 3-5pm timeframe so we sat at the bar and were offered a smaller menu of snacks. We got the beef tartare and the fried calamari. Both were excellent. Our drinks were also perfect - an Aperol Spritz and a great local beer. read more

WOW!!! What a great addition to Jackson Hole. Amazing restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Feels like a French Bistro with delicious food prepared by an experienced chef. The menus are diverse and each flavor was yummy. The ambiance is inviting and the staff are friendly. We just had breakfast here and are looking forward to our dinner later this week. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Ordered the soup du jour which was a carrot and ginger soup. It was excellent and packed with flavor. The tuna tartare was also very delicious! For entrees we ordered the trout and the special pork adobo, both were great dishes. The pork fell apart and the flavors of the coconut rice, pork, and pickled vegetables was a brilliant combo. read more

We were seated next to a 20+ person wedding party and the kitchen in the hallway. It was very loud, we couldn't hear each other at our table. We asked to be moved but we're told nothing was available, which was untrue after watching an empty table the whole evening in another room. This was the BEST meal I experienced during my stay in Jackson, Wyoming. It is my favorite restaurant in town and the service could not have been better. While we were having breakfast, Jorge recommended that me and my family returned for dinner, and we were so glad we did. Siyhar recommended the tuna nicoise, and Jorge stopped by our table to say hi and he even recommended a great French red wine that paired wonderfully with my steak. Will be back soon!!! read more

The menu is amazing, so many French treats that are typically some of my favorite dishes. The atmosphere is delightful and the staff very friendly. So why one star? Nothing we ordered actually tasted very good, and some items were totally unacceptable. Starting at the steak tartare, they mix potatoe chips into the tartare (they also serve it with chips to eat it with, not an issue). This destroys the flavor and texture of the dish, and I can only imagine is done to make it less costly for the restaurant. The kampachi crudo was cut so thin, and the dressing so potent that there was virtually no flavor of the fish coming through. The onion soup is onion soup but that's all, the flavor is thin and sweet with no depth, not as good as the frozen ones from Trader Joe's or Costco. The salads could have been good if they were washed before serving but both salads (watercress and frisée lardon) were gritty and full of sand, we had to send those back. I'll end there we had other dishes, none were delicious. This place seems like they brought in a consultant to design the space and menus but then don't have a shingle person in the kitchen who takes any pride in the food they cook. I would recommend eating elsewhere, local is good and none of the food left me feeling this way. Ps. This place literally needs Gordon Ramsey to come in and clean house read more

By far one of the top meals I have every had in my life! Ambiance, superb service and there are no words to properly describe for the food we had. Shrimp Croquettes, Ricotta Pillows, Beef Bourguignon (damn perfect!) & the Crème Caramel dessert. The craftmanship behind everything and everyone that contributes to this experience in exquisite. The former Rendezvous Bistro was a long time favorite of ours. I was so looking forward to the new location in the Cloudveil. On our second visit I was very disappointed. It was the server's fourth day on the job. He forgot to put in our order for our favorite tuna and avocado appetizer with wantons. At his recommendation I ordered the striped bass. We ordered a $92 bottle of wine only to have another server knock my full glass of wine off the table to crash it into pieces and splash my jacket. Entrées were good. The server ordered our forgotten appetizer and comped us. It was served leaving our dirty entre plates intact. Needless to say the evening was less than perfect. The shoulder-length haired host cruised in and out of the pristine open kitchen without any hair covering or even a pony tail. I long for the cozy former digs and superior service. read more

A friend and I had tomato basil soup, ricotta pillows, and croque madame. So disappointed as all three dishes lacked flavors. They were presented attractively but soup didn't taste like tomatoes or basil. The pasta also, tho full of cherry tomatoes and small mushrooms, just didn't have any definite flavor. This place was a little fancier than we intended for our family of five when we decided to stop in for a late lunch, but the food and service were good. Giving four stars instead of five because limited options for kiddos, one of the menu items we ordered was unavailable and prices were a little high though that is probably to be expected with the location. The blackened salmon sandwich was tasty, as was the croque monsieur with duck confit. My teenager son says the $9 Mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. Oh my goodness, the food at the Bistro is absolutely amazing. Whilst on our annual mother/daughter trip, my daughter and I were lucky to find this fantastic establishment on Yelp. She could not decide between the beef tartare or heavenly quiche and salad. Easily remedied, she ordered both. I also ordered the quiche. It's our first evening at Jackson, WY and although exhausted from a long day of journey, my family of 4 and I were eager to sample the best of Jackson's culinary offerings. Our first stop was The Bistro. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, who quickly gave us "the once over" then in an overly sweet tone, asked us if we had reservations. We didn't since we arrived unexpectedly a day earlier to Jackson. To mine and my husband's dismay, she informed us they were not taking walk-ins and we were told that the reason was due to a private event happening. As I surveyed the small footprint of the restaurant, there was an empty 4 top at the bar and a few empty tables outside. It was clear to us that there didn't seem to be a private event happening in the main dining area but perhaps they have a private room located elsewhere? We left but did so with a feeling that after the brief "once over" we were given by the hostess, she deduced that perhaps we were not fit enough to grace the tables at her esteemed establishment. I am a Director of Sales for an upscale resort hotel in the "esteemed" Napa Valley, CA with connections to Michellan Star rated restaurants, and I am appalled at the treatment we received from this one person whom we felt judged us by our casual, nondescript, travel laden attire. For a town such as Jackson where hotels are charging approx $800-$1500/night, I think a little less of the uppity attitude and a little more of genuine warmth should be more forthcoming. We are dining tomorrow night at the Four Seasons Hotel's Westbank Grill where some of their steak entrees cost over $150 and we didn't receive or perceive an uppity attitude from the staff. I was looking forward to dining at The Bistro as I've visited France often times in my lifetime and I love French food. I'm sure the food here is excellent but the host was less than welcoming.
